The nougat update is only rolling out for us developer edition devices or those who have converted their M9 to developer edition firmware right now. It'll be out for everyone else soon

That's a pleasant surprise! The official update page at their website hadn't been updated yet to show that it is released. Would you post your OS version?

Any news for the M9 at&t update?

Would you be willing to post the output from fastboot getvar all (remembering to remove your IMEI)? That would show your MID and CID.

That might be the case because no one contributed any files for this SKU, yet.
It's the T-Mobile US SKU. It looks like HTC didn't upload the new RUU, yet. I tried to download it by "updating" the download URL for the 3.x RUU with the new version but that didn't work. (This has been possible in the past when they forgot to update their download page.)

Is T-MOB010 the right CID and 0PJA12000 the correct MID (From the SKU-, CID- and MID-List by Sneakyghost and Behold_this) for SKU 531? I'm presuming that even though I have the developer edition model of the M9 (MID 0PJA11000), the firmware/OS is compatible because they're both GSM models.

Yes, it should be compatible. I don't know the corresponding CID but you can extract the android-info.txt from the RUU with the decryption tool.

Hmm. I followed the instructions linked from the readm, but the rom.zip file isn't recognized by 7-zip or Windows as an archive.
Ah. I found the Universal HTC RUU/ROM Decryption Tool. Maybe this could be linked in the readme?

I've got the 531 SKU RUU ready for upload (3.39.531.41), extracted from the RUU executable. I can confirm from the android-info file that the MID is indeed 0PJA12000 and the CID is T-MOB010
What's the best way to get the zip file where it needs to be?

Er, of course you can't open RUU.zip files like normal archives. They're encrypted and that's explained in the FAQ of the ReadMe thread. And I actually recommended using the decryption tool in the post you quoted. It's linked in the Further Reading/Useful Links section and in the FAQ section since several month...

If you don't have one already I'd recommend you to get an AFH account. It may take some days until the dev functions (which are needed if you want to upload files) get enabled but afterwards you'll have unlimited space.
Edit: I personally prefer uploading files via FTP. However, since FTP access needs to be requested seperately you might want to directly request it when you request the dev functions on AFH.

Augh. Of course it's all in the readme.
So am I right in understanding that there is no free option for AFH? Bummer. I'll get around to that shortly.
I've got the link for the Nougat OTA for SKU 531 too. Looks like we're going to get a couple entries for 531!

AFH is for free. You don't need a premium account. I don't have one, either. There a 4 types of accounts on that site: user accounts (free), dev accounts (free), premium user accounts (paid) and premium dev accounts (paid).
Edit: I actually don't know why so many think you would need to pay for AFH...

For me it was because at the landing page there wasn't immediate access to upload files but there was mention of membership plans. The jump I made was that uploading was enabled with a service plan.
....and then I read the 'about' link which has the one-line summary I quoted above. Not my best day for reading before posting.

I have flashed my TyTn yesterday with the new version. But I still wan't to check if this is the same version number as the original released one from HTC. Checked the European sit but I stil can not find the UPGRADE.
Perhaps they are looking in this community to learn if they have to change something in the ROM.............
Keep on testing!
Did you guys register your devices on e-Club? I did, and when I go to the downloads, there is a link to TyTN, and from there, I get the attached screen

Yep LandyMan, I for sure registered!
Probably it's for the European market a problem to release it in such a way that it works.......
Let's wait for a couple of days.....

LandyMan,
Can you post an md5sum of the file you downloaded from eClub so others can check the validity of what we manage to find? I keep trying My Downloads every day but never get a device list.
You can get md5sum for Windows from the folks who make Perl for Windows here: http://downloads.activestate.com/contrib/md5sum/Windows/
Thanks!
Nevermind. HTC fixed their site. md5sum is as follows (verified from two HTC sources):
ae5da9205270ac4a7d31e2e56214b94f *HTC_TyTN_WWE_3.54.255.3_6275_1.48.00.10_108.exe
Looks like this is the "1.06.405.1 WWE" ROM version, per the image on the download page. Does anybody know what all the numbers in the filename mean?

Thanks, I've been using this thread quite often (I stupidly delete ROM's after I extracted stuff I need so I need to re-download them once the extraction business is on again... ). Having to look for it on page 3 or 4 is horrible so here we go, I get it back on the front page.

Can someone please explain to me and I'm sure others would appreciate, what is all the wwe ruu tmous stuff mean. I look at that list and barely have a clue what I should be flashing if I want the latest, what belongs to what provider etc. Also if your s off aren't there quite a few of these that if you flash you will semi brick?
I have tried finding a breakdown of all this info and had no such luck. If someone does not feel like explaining all that can u just tell me the latest tmobile released rom and if its safe to flash with s off and eng bootloader? Thank u.

WWE = World Wide English (?), means about as much as "global release". A version of a ROM which is released to one could say "unbranded" devices coming from HTC directly, intended for worldwide use. No G2, no Vodafone, just pure HTC.
RUU = Rom Update Utility, a Windows OS executable file which flashes a ROM onto your device, partially or fully. A so called "official RUU" is usually a ROM updater coming from HTC, still in it's untouched state, unmodified, means no root pre-included, no locks removed, no traps defused, just pure HTC.
TMOUS = T-Mobile USA. Questions?
I look at that list and barely have a clue what I should be flashing if I want the latest

Technically quite incorret but it will do as an explanation: we all have the same devices, they are just distinguishable by the software put on them. Since the hardware is the same, all devices worldwide will run every "Vision" ROM there is. So basically, as normal in IT, take the one with the highest number and youre good to go 1.34 is older than 1.72 is older than 1.84 is older than (...). The stuff after 1.34.xxx is for the "release/sales region" a ROM is intended for. 405 for example is more or less western europe, so ROMs released for the german/austrian/swiss/whatever market are 1.xx.405.z ROMs.
what belongs to what provider etc.

Doesn't matter, a Vision is a Vision. A "provider ROM" just means it will have some provider specific junk loaded as opposed to a "clean" HTC ROM. Exception: G2 vs DesireZ. G2 is "pure" Android (with T-Mo junk) where as DesireZ get Sense from HTC.
Also if your s off aren't there quite a few of these that if you flash you will semi brick?

Semi brick? If you got a semi brick unbrick it by flasing something which works. Beauty of flashing HTC devices. Ever heard of locked Motorola bootloaders? A pain in the hole, and very much at that...
...and if its safe to flash with s off and eng bootloader?

S-OFF and ENG Bootloader means your device is basically (very stupid things to do excluded) bomb proof. In this combination there is almost always a way to get it back to a working state. One thing I would consider: I'd take a modified, pre-rooted ROM, an "official" ROM might close a loophole used to root and crack and hack the device.

You'd need a custom recovery for that. And without ROOT you can't load a custom recovery. Hmm... you could temp-root, put recovery on, factory reset (wipe temp root stuff off device), pull a backup, and then perm-root. This way you'd get a quite clean backup. Anyone disagree?
I'm not able to download a single file, either download never starts or it just stops randomly at any point during the download have not been able to download more than 50mb

RUU for my phone

hello Guys i have an HTC ONE M9 CID NUM : VODAP304 and MID NUM : 0PJA10000 ..........where can i find an RUU for my phone??? thanks
When I go to HTC's RUU download page (http://www.htc.com/us/support/rom-downloads.html) I don't see anywhere to download for Vodafone - which is what I'm assuming you have from your CID.
What country are you in? HTC may be only showing me the options that are applicable to the USA, given the 'us' reference in the URL.

I'm from Morocco but i think my phone is from Vodafone spain ( i think) .....
From your CID, it is Vodafone Spain (I should have Googled that first thing - sorry).
The only place that seems to offer file downloads for your phone is HTCdev (http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads). When I filter the files, I get different possible downloads. The thing is, I don't know enough to tell you which file (MR 1 or CSC) is the one you would want, or what you are supposed to do with it - they're both zip files.
I'm downloading one of them to open it and see what's inside. But it's a sign of hope that HTC is providing something. Unfortunately, I can't find any RUU files for Vodafone Spain. But maybe someone with more experience can help us from here.
I'll post what I find once the download finishes. My connection is slow, so it'll be a bit.

Well, I learn something new each day - the files are for the radio and kernel. Unfortunately, that doesn't do anything for finding you a RUU file.

Is the radio/baseband crc or mr?

Hi, on the HTC developer site there are 2 options for downloading software, one is crc, the other is mr. These refer to the type of radio. Devcheck says my baseband version/number is [email protected]_41.13_f. How do I know if it's crc or mr? I'm on an european model.

As far as I know, crc refers to original release and mr refers to updated/maintenance release. If your looking at RUU releases the mr would be newer. So check which baseband is in the RUU your looking at. It's usually the name of the file.
Thanks, you're right! It's a. tar.gz file though so I'll look into how I'll flash it..
On some other forum (can't post links yet) NJsomeone said crc is cyclic redundancy check and mr is multi-range radio. Just hope it won't mess with my telephony.

https://t.co/3LHINTyhIm
Hi, thanks a lot. Where did you find it? Are you sure it is truely 401.4 ruu and not the 401.3 diffused officially by htc?
It has already been shared here. And yes it is official 401.4, as it has been shared by an HTC official on Twitter.

Yes ofcourse!
If you don't modify your system and don't install custom recovery you are a fully stock user and always get newest updates and can install them easily!
i tried to install and it showed me 2.41.401.3!

Ah, this is the one that Graham Wheeler offered?
Unshortened:

You can check that when you copy the LINK from his profile you receive this shortened URL the thread initiator posted. Feel free to try yourselves! But i would personally prefer to use the original than something another user uploaded to some mirror. And i prefer to use original links, since it is more likely they are not manipulated.

This RUU is working fine for me. I have it installed. CID is 34.
I tried the early 2.41.401.3 that was provided for UK!
And this one 2.41.401.4 that was provided for the rest of EU containing the fixes for NL.
AFAIK the ".3" Is the very very same build.
Just the ".4" containing some special fixes for NL region only.
And the people from UK are still on ".3". since they do not need this. So if you are on ".3" and live in the UK you can stay there.
If you know that your devices destiny was initially to receive the ".4" update since you live in NL and your device is going crazy, loosing IMEI and other stuffs and want to enter this special path again, go for it. I did it. And i live with WIPING my PHONE twice. But that is:
- My free time.
- My problem.
- Not yours.
And on top of all this i am very happy that Mr. Wheeler is offering this chance to me. Because i see some more benefits having a FULL signed STOCK RUU around. Because i owned a HTC phone in my life that i totally bricked. And there was no RUU available for it. And with this fine offer by him i have one now. Meaning i do not have to wait 4 weeks or so to get my phone recovered. I can just take this RUU and bring it back to life. Just in special circumstances.
And for me this means: "I did not need to do this, since even the ".3" worked for me in the very same manner. But i wanted to be on the originating path again, after trying the early release that UK received."
If you live in the UK and have the ".3" you will definitively not need to flash this. There is no need to flash anything. It was told that both will receive OTA in future.
And noone said you have to flash anything. Why do you stress yourselves with this?
Here some details about the ".3":
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70951262&postcount=2681
And the .4 that you find in this thread just containing the fixes for NL on top of this!
And once again: There is absolutely no force that you have to flash anything. You can just sit back and wait for OTA.
Maybe if the thread initiator would want to add more information, what this is originating of. It might prohibit questions about the question what this is for question.
AND PLEASE DO CORRECT ME ABOUT WHAT IS WRONG!

Will it work on any region's HTC 10 ? I'm from SEA and my CID is 60. I read somewhere that this RUU is only for WWE devices (CID 01 I think).

Seriously....how did you ever get your RC status ? By NOT reading. Logically when you are an RC you would know what to look at and what to know about basic Android and it's flashing behavior .... right ? Just to clarify this, i am genuinely confused ?
I told you this about 5 days ago already ?!
