You've got to wait till the company releases source and kernel code for the device. Or you can just google it for satisfaction.

Yes, it does have gyroscope. If it has gyro, obviously you can take 360 pics with google camera and have VR experience.

Thanks. I asked because I too own a Moto M but the Gyro has gone haywire. So just wanted to make sure that it has one or not. The Y-Axis is giving me problems!

Report it then. I guess it has not been even a month since the device has been introduced, so you can replace a buggy piece from the provider you ordered it from.

I too was thinking about it. Thanks. I'll get it done. Though I found a fix too... I just need to keep my phone on a flat surface with the VR app ON for about 10secs and it aligns it self. I guess this piece has calibration issues.

That is not recovery mode. If want to get into recovery mode, hold power + volume up + volume down. Then u ll find Android icon with red triangle then press power + volume up. By then u should be in recovery mode.

In power off mode do hold the three at a time and release after the first vibration, moto logo will appear followed by the Android with red triangle. Then hold the power button and press volume up. That's it.

Nougat has already been released for moto g4 and moto z. I hope it releases for moto m soon. This is a new device so they should release it. Moto was good on updates earlier, but it became slow since this lenovo moto thing started happening.
I feel fingerprint sensor has become faster now and camera issues have also improved since the last update.

No idea about rooting and installing xposed.
It is not officially listed on their website (I guess they have not updated) but it should get nougat soon, as it is a new device.

[Q] howto make screenshot 4.0.4 ?

hi, after updating to the Xperia S to ICS 4.0.4
screenshot function is gone from the powerbutton menu.
i read that holding down power button and volume down, should make a screenshot, but this doesn't work on my phone.
anyone know how to capture the screen from the device ? or is this builtin option lost?
Hold power button plus volume down together for 2 seconds.
that doesn't work!

Than you're doing it wrong, or you removed the apk responsable for that (can't remember if it is an apk, anyway).
the phone is stock 4.0.4, only rooted with 1 click root method.
and sure.. doing it wrong, pressing power & volume down?!! you explain to me how pressing those 2 buttons can be done wrong??
i read elsewhere that other people also have this issue, it simply doesn't work on some Xperia S devices.
apparently mine too.
thanks anyway for your insight...
maybe someone else knows more?
Works fine
i dont know why it doesnt work for you but works for me.

Don't press one then the other... do it at the same time. Also I can't explain why but try volume up and power once and see what happens... but its a native function of ICS... should work on all devices.

Which firmware are u using?
And u root it with root many droid or other 1-click method?
How do u take a screenshot as told by others? When do u take it? Which scene are u at when u take it?

It is because those apps are running with Hardware decoding, not software.

power button question

Hello, I recently acquired a Pixel C and I am very happy with it but something is bugging me. The power button is kind of hard to push and there is no haptic feedback, i.e. click, like for the volume buttons. Could anyone be so kind and confirm how the power button feels on their device, to know if this is normal or if there's something wrong ? Big thanks in advance!!

It's not hard on my new Pixel C, feels just like my phone. There is no haptic feedback on the device which is a shame.

Thanks for your response! What I meant by haptic feedback was the subtle click you get when you press the volume buttons. My power button doesn't do that and sometimes I have to press twice do turn the pixel on or off, which is a bit annoying.

Ok, understood.
So my power button feels exactly like the volume controls. As you say, a 'subtle' click.
Mine has the click for the power button, and isn't hard to push at all. Sounds like there's something up with yours.

Did you install recovery and root?
If so, which method did you use? There are several documented in this forum, most out-of-date.
I'm just about to use TWRP 3.1.1-1 (to keep data encryption) and Magisk 14.5 which apparently now works with Pixel C.

Combined with adAway and a modded youtube apk it's the perfect tablet for me, so glad they still had one left!

Adding Always on display is ridiculous on our phone as the display is not done for it. Ambiant display is already there if you means the screen showing notifications while on black when receiving. For gestures, what do you mean? It has dt2w and that is the only gesture we do have on this device. For ota I already talked about it with him and he don't know if it will come. It is not up to him but it is the rom creator that must do it

Yes I'm on PE since its release. But no need to post anything about portrait mod, Mrhacker seems to have resolved it. So it a question of time for us and hard work for him before we do have it on all the other roms. Wait patiently... Also I don't which bugs you're mentioning. I don't have any. Not apparent at least

so i have investigated camera hal sources and now it looks like all is okay for releasing and open source for community
so here is the link to camera hal sources https://github.com/omni-zuk/device_z...oid-8.1/camera
all commits are open here and ready for cherry-pick https://github.com/omni-zuk/device_z...0a9787bab45b33 well developers needs to revert this commit because this commit only for omnirom which don;t need project pathmap so reverting it will work for other roms and make hal compatible for other roms without issues.

Question Prevent Shutdown from Lockscreen

Hi there friends, how are you doing? Hope you all are really great.
Please, is there a way to prevent POCO F3 shutdown from lockscreen? I mean, when phone is locked I actually can just hold Power Button and select Shutdown without password.
My phone is on Version
MIUI Global Room 14.0.4 TKHMIXM
Android Version 13
I'v been searching for it has a year and no clue about how to do it
I'am sorry if is there any topic created here that i didn't see, if it exists, I'll close the topic.
Thank you so much for any help.

Because then, a user can still just *hold* the Power-Button, and the phone will reboot.

This is a useful feature in cases where the phone freezes and refuse to respond. So it should and will always be present.
