What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP stands for the Xperia Open Source Project. The project was initially created by me (@nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) years ago. Back then the ROM was called S+ Reborn. The vision was to create a minimal bloat free ROM which included Sony Xperia specific apps and various tweaks users would expect from a custom ROM.
S+ Reborn became a success and was eventually ported to different devices so from there I rebranded and XOSP project was founded. I worked on the project for 2 years always trying to improve it. Eventually, Because of the fact Lollipop was buggy on my Galaxy S+ (Which I maintained xosp for at the time) I decided to take a break from development until I got my hands on the Zenfone 2 in 2015 and from then I started again the development of XOSP and continued it ever since.
What Represents a Release and what represents a Revision?
Revisions include small changes such as bug fixes/improvments etc.. (Usually there are made like 3 revisions per-release).
Releases are the main "stable" builds with all new planned features implemented and bugs fixed.

Here you have the source for CM14.1 but I suggest you to wait because this ROM has some problems with the battery

here are the screenshots ...
the bugs while using the roms :
on first boot the keyboard force closes everytime .. i had to skip the setup ... then manually receiv a keyboard app via Bluetooth ... and the install it by going into the download app which fortunately has a file manager
there is no gallery app,music app, callender app ,no file manager
performance is good , battery i cannot comment now ..i have to use it thoroughly for that.
it is a awesome rom ... after all these above issues r fixed ...

yes it is ...
but if you are installing it ... frst keep backup apk of a keyboard app in your sd card ...
then install the rom and after install go to the download app and install the keyboard apk from there ...
that keyboard issue is an hassle as there is no file manager installed by default

had the same problem, flash gboard zip via TWRP made a package myelf. jjust dirtyflash over the rest of the files and reboot.
u can change the keyboard options in the settings.

just noticed that when playing with some settings (privacy guard) and deactivate something, MTP do not work anymore.
Will try to find out which one as i got some time some issue with MTP and windows on ROMS

Downloading right now, will report back.
Update: Xperia Keyboard FC is quite intrusive, especially during first boot setup. Uninstalled it via system app remover, will try to download it again from Play Store. Fingerprint Sensor works flawlessly.

should be in the settings... look for status bar, anywhere in the settings, you will find it there

Where is lib audio sir ? Its my first port
I see this rom is most stable of all custom rom for Zen max I ever try, also battery is good, I get more about 2hour~ onscreen on this rom, I hope you will update this rom more, like official RR, Im testing it

Thank you for this great ROM, hope it will last long.
I do have a kind of a problem with it, a bluetooth module works strangly since the phone sees my adidas x cell (which has smart bluetooth standard) but it cannot connect properly inside any of fitness apps.
This kind of problem was not experienced in stock Lollipop, or MM.
Is there any way to solve this, since I really like this ROM and I'm also using bluetooth heart rate monitor (adidas x cell) almost every day and I need this kind of health monitoring.
So, please, be kind and tell me what to expect on this matter?

What is XOSP?
XOSP is an after-market firmware based on CodeAuroraSources (CAF) destinated for a wide range of Android phones. The name stands for the Xperia Open Source Project and the project was initially created by @nilac for the Galaxy S+ (his old device) years ago when back then the ROM was called S+ Reborn. The vision was to create a minimal bloat free ROM which included Sony Xperia specific apps and various tweaks users would expect from a custom ROM.
S+ Reborn became a success and was eventually ported to different devices so from there it was rebranded to XOSP. Calin worked on the project for 2 years always trying to improve it. Eventually, Because of the fact Lollipop was buggy on his Galaxy S+, he decided to take a break from development until he got his hands on the Zenfone 2 in 2015 and from then he started again the development of XOSP and continued it ever since.
How do we release updates?
We release new updates for our Official devices each week by providing Delta updates to the users,so maintainers of the other devices can do the same as well if they want to keep up with the changes. We will make full zip releases only once a month except special cases like for example XOSPDelta is not working or something like it.

it's listed on the Xosp apps page.

the file date matches the 1/06 apps package date.
i was thinking that since the apps package is newer (1/25) it might not be needed.

Well, you don't need to apply that fix anymore cos it has been fixed in the default XOSPapps package already.

Battery backup has been improved in latest build but still Xperia keyboard force closes, file manager, calander apps are missing but can be negligible again ROM is just butter smooth !!!

I did .... both xosp apps and open gaps !!!
verify u have the right versions, I did that and my problem resolved, check the download links again
flash in this order
xosp_rom -> xosp_apps -> gapps
note
xosp_apps gives xosp_keyboard, install google_keyboard from playstore later if you prefer
gapps gives calendar & other google apps, depends on which gapps you flash (nano, pico, stock etc)

Yes, I flashed the same order which you have mentioned... i used "open_gapps-arm64-7.1-pico-20161230"
even i checked " XOSPApps-Universal-7.2-06-01-2017.zip" where i couldn't abel to find calendar and file manager..
Also plz include screenshot toggle in next build

Did you set vibrator intensity to 0% ?
If not , go to settings / sound / other sounds and then try again with notifications

Yes it does but in Legacy Mode.....But.....Dont be sad
COZ if u use Magisk....U can download a Magisk Module called as Systemless Substratum.....Once u have flashed it....u Will be abke to use NORMAL Substratum themes even in Legacy mode

Download kernel auditor and enable fast charging in battery section. It worked with me.
