how to viper4android on MM 6.0 ? - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
so I have unlocked bootloader, TWRP custom recovery, SuperSU v2.79 rooted stock MM 6.0 (v20j) but I can't get ViPER4Android to work?!
I tried the latest apk FX version v2.4.0.1 (Android 4.0~6.0) with no success! The driver couldn't get installed/didn't work . . .
Then I found a lot of stuff across these forums (different zips to flash via recovery) like this and that but I wonder if perhaps anyone actually knows how to get it working properly?
Thanks in advance!!

Mhh, I didn't get any error messages . . . The app (installed via latest apk) on first start prompted the driver install and confirmed "driver installed . . . reboot phone".
After reboot "Driver Status" showed "Enabled: No" . . .
Perhaps it somehow installed, but didn't work regardless?
How to fix this? I heard so many good things about this and really want to get it working!

Yes, stock kernel can have se linux set to permissive using that app or google se linux changer.
Permissive is required for viper4android.

How to chose the right version of SuperSU.zip for flashing?

I flashed TWRP on my ZE551ML (Z00A-WW-2.20.40.198) and wanted to root a clean stock rom. I have successfully done so before on the same device by installing "BETA-SuperSU-v2.67-20160121175247.zip" downloaded from the official Chainfire site. I thought it would be better to have the newest version, so this time I tried to install "SR1-SuperSU-v2.79-SR1-20161221223537" from the same source. However, after installing that file, the phone stayed in a bootloop for around 10 minutes.
1. Is it normal for it to take that long, or does that mean that the second file is incompatible with my phone?
2. Did I chose the wrong file, and should I have tried to install "BETA-SuperSU-v2.67-20160121175247.zip"?
3. Which zip should I install?
I have uninstalled again, and my phone boots. What I am asking about here is which file to install.

Use the zip that worked before , you might have to update ...binaries after ..is all
Why you don't update to M is beyond me , the N lineage ROM is back on track by dev jrior too

Root is working beautifully on L, I've already installed the same SuperSU. Xposed modules are really important to me. One of my favorite modules, NetworkSpeedIndicator, didn't work for me on M. So I'm sticking with L for now. If I can get all my Xposed modules to work on M or N then I will happily upgrade

Viper4Android working on our device? 7.1.1?

Hey guys,
I want some help... Can someone tell me if Viper4Android (sound mod) works on latest firmware 7.1.1? ofcourse it needs root but has anybody tried it? Does it work... I want to flash it on my device, is it safe to flash it or will i get any issues like driver bootloop etc... If someone has tried it and failed or someone is just using it please answer to my query... Thank u
I have tried it yesterday and couldnt get it to install drivers. I am on lineage os i think it is 7.1.2 so i installed dolby atmos mod instead which works well.
@mhp1995 ,this zip include v4a with selinux fixes, which means you will get v4a working on enforcing selinux. You have to be rooted (I'm with magisk) and it is working flawlessly alongside arise sound mod. However, this is older version of v4a, because no one have enabled selinux support for new version yet (except using SuperSU or magisk module, but it isn't working on 7.1.1)
This might help:
Download the file from here https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120731031
Flash it
Then from system app remover delete both apps of XtremeMusic do not delete the v4a of course and then check if it works it should as you can see in the screenshot

Viper4android only work con superSU so might take that as step one.
If youre on magisk uninstall it and then flash supersu zip
Then flash the zip file from the link
Should work then.

You can't use it without root access. But TWRP or any kind of recovery is not needed for things like this.

No deep buffer removal or any extra steps or magisk module needed

Without twrp yes. You don't need recovery for viper4android.
But root. Nope.. You need to have a rooted device for the audio drivers to get installed.
And just so you know rooting with trip knox and void your warrenty and it also involves unlocking bootloader and doing so will show a message on phone startup about the phone being insecure.
So keep that on mind before you unlock bootloader and root with magisk

I have done none of them. And it's working like a charm.
There is a Viper4Android module in magisk which is installed but not by me. So I think app is doing necessary things itself.

Viper4android is an alternative audio driver for Android that offers very granular control over each aspect of audio output coming from your phone.
You can adjust bass, treble reverberations gain etc and many more things with this.
And unlike other sound apps this works system wise.

Hey, I'm really sorry for this late respond. I'm busy nowadays and just had some time to check my mails etc.
Right now I'm using V4A Version 2.7.1.6. You can find it here.
If you're using Android 10, it's completely normal to have problems with V4A for now. If you're using Android 10 please let me know and I'll explain you how you should install V4A.

i also installed viper4 adnroid v2.7.1.6 from xda labs . but after reboot i lost magisk root. also the driver didnt worked. on reboot the driver started working ,but the magisk root disappeared.
the only way for me to get magisk root back is to either factory reset in twrp, which will erase v4a ..or to restore stock boot.img which will erase magisk
now i am in this limbo.
if you have some advise to get me out of this mess, kindly post it here
