ENGBOOT for SM-G930F (UNTESTED) - Samsung Galaxy S7 (Exynos) ROMs, Kernels, Recoveri

Hello everybody!
I was surfing through the web when i found this file uploaded on 4shared claiming to be an Engboot for SM-G930F.
Naturally, I was sceptical about this file, as I am completely uneducated about the nuts and bolts of Android, I could neither confirm or deny that this is a valid file or not, so I decided to post the link to XDA , so much more knowledgeable people can take a look at it and see if it is a valid file or not. I don't want to flash this file on (bought yesterday) my S7, so here I am!
If anybody is feeling brave enough to try this on their phone, please go ahead and tell if this worked or not
Disclaimer: I am not responsible in any way for bricked devices, this file is completely untested.
Original Link: [url]https://www.4shared.com/get/X3a35HZTba/SM-G930F-ENGBOOT-bay_MrTpO.html[/URL]
Zippyshare (no registration) Link: [url]http://www80.zippyshare.com/v/axSXOCtR/file.html[/URL]
Edit: This is important because if this file works, you could thereotically flash anything you want WITHOUT tripping knox.
Also you can easily unbrick your phone by flashing the stock ROM if it comes to that.
Note: I am reposting this in the development section.

Mobile PDA version (archive) not working anymore

Dear Admins
The links to the archive does not work.
Its by far the best way to keep up on threads as it is possible to see threads listed by the date they are startet... Never miss anything
A typical link is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/f-260 /DEV/HACKING section...
Could someone please get it back.

Sorry to sound like an arse, but what's "does not work" mean?*
I can access it fine, also putting .html on the link gives a different view : http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/f-260.html
*I'm a programmer, I get so many bugs saying stuff doesn't work.
Dave
Martinhdk, thanks for reporting it. We did have an issue with this earlier and it has been fixed since.

All In One Tool Kit [PrimoU][GSM][Windows]
Hi guys, hope that I'm not stepping on anyone's toes here but I have recently started messing with my PrimoU/GSM and I think that some of the tools that I needed in order to complete certain things can be quite hard to find such as tools/tutorials for flashing ROMs, RUUs, Kernels, Recoveries and SU/Root especially ones with more up to date tutorials therefore I decided to make my own support package for new comers to the development scene and here is what it contains:
Screenshot #1:
Code:

Disclaimer: NOTE: IF YOU USE ANY OF THE TOOLS OR GUIDES IN THIS PACKAGE THEN YOU PROCEED TO DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK! I AM IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY KIND OF DAMAGE AND/OR OUTCOME PRODUCED FROM USING THIS PACKAGE.

Are you sure? I mean, 100% sure?
There's more than enough guides for everything, you just need to read threads... Might as well start and see that everything is already here...
Sorry for that, but...

Yes I am sure, you are correct there are more than enough tutorials but none of them are compiled into such a large tool pack aside from that one guy that made the program for it... Either way I decided to compile this tool kit as I have included everything that is possibly needed in order to root the device manually rather than with the aid of a program. The best part of this tool kit is the notepad file that I created. Not only is it 100% my guide but it also is very clear and concise...
At the end of the day if you do not like it then don't download it but at the same time don't complain about it either... Fair enough you might think that it is a waste of time but I feel that it could possibly help out some people who needed everything explaining to them in clear and concise terms.
I have said enough, I only wanted to give back to the community.
nice thread especially for n00bs(no offence)...nice to see someone contributing to the community(although there is no need(no offence again))

[NEEDED] Full Odin Package for SCH-I800

Please, anyone, I can't seem to find a mirror of a working Odin package anywhere out there in the ether. It doesn't matter what firmware revision it is so long as it is a full package that can restore and repartition. I will also provide a mirror to the file when I receive it.
Thanks,
~Terror_1

You want the over come package.

I've shared it. But unsure if it's for the sch-i8000, i have the p1000 GSM version. You may want to look at the documentation for the overcome wipe (it's very popular to get your tab back to stock or for flashing new roms or unbricking soft bricks) to see if ti's compatible. There is a PDF somewhere in the xda forums here for tab that recreates the instruction for Overcome.
EDIT:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1881981
There someone has recreated. And looks like GSM only, so I think you're out of luck there.
So I did a quick search of sch-i800, and bam:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275031
Looks like some stock stuff for that is listed there.
Thanks dardack for the try but I don't think that any GSM or Sprint files are going to work properly.
Last night I started working through a stack of HDD's and think I found what I need. I am planning on testing today and if it works I will post a mirror.
Problem with all of this is that the Verizon tablets, I don't think, where very popular, and since 2-3 years have passed since release it's almost impossible to find working links anymore.

[ROM] Pure Android Mashmellow for Mate 7

Anybody tried this rom?
http://www.marshmallowg.xyz/rom/marshmallow/huawei-ascend-mate7-6543.html
Some user claimed it's worked perfectly without any bug. But i am having issue to download the file due to need to gone thru the survey.
Anyone who got the file can upload to a site without needed the survey?
a suspicious looking website , i wouldn't take any risks with that rom. I would not be surprised if they even ask credit card number etc for various reasons...
any one try this please ?
Don't do it...It requires a survey. Very shady

xda article leads to virus?

Hello I just checked some one click root apps from here https://www.xda-developers.com/best-one-click-root-2018/
but the Root Master page that is linked, while it seems legit and all it downloaded an app that is in Chinese or something that looked different than the screenshots. Something that I noticed later.
I tried to use it but the chinese didn't helped match.
Now I'm a bit scared that maybe this app did something malicious to my phone because it wanted permission to write in SD.
Am I just paranoid? Can anyone confirm about this app?
The link is in the original XDA link above.

I don't use the Root Master myself and I had went to check out the article you referenced.
I selected the Root Master website and it looked like I was taken to the appropriate website that was all in English for myself.
I them selected the download link from step 1 on the instructions and it downloaded the app.
I then took a quick look into the apk file and did not notice anything out of the ordinary myself.
I'm not stating that you didn't experience what you had expressed but, I'm just providing you with what I had found.
To hopefully help you out, here's the links I was taken to so you can see/compare with what you had experienced.
This is the Root Master Link...
https://rootmaster.co/
... this is the apk download link from Step 1 in the Root Master guide.
https://rootmaster.co/download/com.rootmaster.apk
I hope that this helps you out and I can only assume that you may have accidentally hit an ad or something.
I do wish you the best of luck!

I get a file called "com.rootmaster.apk." Seems about right. Must have been an ad or popup you got?

it's happened to me before...
I go to select a link and, out of nowhere, an ad sneaks in and I just start over again.
Looks like "The Case of the Redirected Redirect" has been solved... LMAO!

Everything seems legit till the time I run the apk, the page seems fine, the download seems to have to name that the download link says, but the reported apk size is 4MB and the downloaded one is around 2,5MB.
The problem is inside, the app have some short of cartoon characters and everything is in Chinese.
I will check back today if indeed I was redirected to some shady download with the same name.
I run a check with AVG after that incident but didn't found anything.
