SLIM6 Team Superluminal X72x Discussion - LeEco Le Pro3 Guides, News, & Discussion

Just starting a discussion thread for the SLIM6 ROM from Team SuperLuminal (follow link in TS CM13 thread if you don't know of it). I'm not the creator or maintainer of Slim6, so mods please feel free to take over this thread to post builds, changelogs etc.

Battery life has been soo much better then stock rom kicking it at about 10hrs screen on time maybe more. Currently at 11% but ot should be another 1 hour of sot with my luck.
No greenify or any othet battery saving apps.

Sorry but the power consumption for that usage is pretty low (unless you are streaming or playing music [while screen is off] behind the scene for 5 hours or more =D) so stock ROM can easily surpass that.
Here is a typical medium usage for me...

Stock is awesome for battery life, but I'm curious about how things would be with either Slim or Cm13. On WiFi I'd get even more, but might as well use my unlimited data.

There was a constant wake lock on the 12-31 build. If you're getting 9 hrs screen time, it's likely they fixed it in the latest nightly. Excellent. I read in the other thread about VoLTE in *#*#4636000#*#* toggle. Has that worked for anyone else yet?

Is anyone else getting no touchscreen upon boot?

Deal breaker for me was its lack of color control. Default white balance and color balance is just way far off.

Happened to me on the first boot but after holding the power button and rebooting it seemed to work.

Is everyone else still having the leaving wifi > no LTE issue? I've tried all sorts APN and preferred network settings and it happens much less but still getting it occasionally.
Also still not getting GPS lock on in device only (usually means hardware GPS not working). Funny though, it still works about 95% using turn by turn navigation so maybe GPS is just weak/slow.

Interesting. I'll give that a try. Codes often don't work in dialer after leaving stock, but there's apps on play store that can access the codes.

I did a full wipe before installing and the IR blaster is working great for me on this build! I was not able to get it working on the CM Superluminal build for some reason. Really liking this ROM so far!!

What is the restriction of the issue "selinux permissive mode"? Is it only relevant if you use root? Will the fingerprint unlock work if you have root turned off?

I cant seem to get the it blaster working. I tried peel and sure from the app store. It didn't work for me on the cm13 ROM as well. Attached is my log file when I tried peel. Thanks for another great ROM!

I'm pretty sure I've seen a fix for IR on non stock rims but might have been limited to EUI roms. Have you tried that?
Sent from my LEX727 using XDA-Developers Legacy app

It's weird how the IR blaster functionality seems to vary so much. I was having issues at one point using IR on CM but I ended up doing a clean flash with the Slim build and it's working now. Battery life seems much better on this build over CM also.

I was finally able to get a log dump of the extreme slowdown while disconnecting from Bluetooth. Hope this helps. Thanks!

[DISCUSSION] 10.5.A.0.30 android 4.4.2 bugs and errors

Hi there i have open this thread for the new firmware so we can discuss it.
So far I´m really disappointed with overall rom speed and its lags here and there. Another thing is battery drain by google apps wakelocks.
On screen time is not impresive either. I know it is still early to judge this rom, but this is my opinion from using this rom for more than day.
How are you people happy with this update?

maybe ill just wait the fix for this before I update my ZL , maybe ill stay in 4.3 until they release the fix
So... Basically, it looks great..
But, there's a lag issue... When u pull the notification bar, and on app drawer (can be fix by hard reset)...
I flash c6506 on my c6502 and still looks great !
My score: 8.8/10

Some say that it's necessary to reset the phone after the update to fix the screen lag issue, also, try to activate the GPU acceleration.
hmmm.....
i did not face any problem u all mention....weird....
As i told, i'm having a high consumption of memory.
Two album app, two Walkman.apk
Yeah, it's laggy in when scrolling in settings, forcing GPU rendering fixed that. Also it seems to charge much slower than 4.3. I had the same issue (slow charging) when I was on AOSP. Not sure if I will revert yet...

Mine is still laggy....
Already reset, and forcing GPU rendering....
I haven't actually performed a reset - mine was a 101 4.3 upgrade... and I need to try doing a full reset...
I've noticed a lag at times with turning the screen back on... (sometimes it takes longer to turn back on...), I've had issues with the "acore" process crashing... but from what I've read that's likely another application... probably something that would be resolved with a reset/wipe, I've also had issues with spontaneous reboots... and I know yesterday was having it show that I'd been on "battery " for ~ 2 minutes when I'd been at my kid's soccer game for an hour or so and on battery the entire time... could be a bbs issue, could be a wipe issue... I had also experienced lag in some parts of settings...
Most everything else seemed ok... but at this point, I've rolled back to an asop 4.4.2... (I found that I had to roll my baseband back to 101 to have an asop 4.4.2 rom get cellular connectivity again...)

Mine got many many bugs, but the Brazillian rom is known for this kind of bugs such as:
Lockscreen got no wallpaper and get FC all the time
so much battery drain
No bootanimation
very laggy
Mobile data always on status bar, even if i am at Wifi
Didn't see the option to change for ART (idk if it's a bug)
Laggy on some games like DH 4 and Injustice

You need to kill the settings from the task manager after forcing the GPU rendering to make it apply correctly.

D85110m Unofficial Changelog

*Update: I had my first freeze with ART on second day of update and I had to battery pull to get it restarted. Switched back to dalvik
Since LG/T-Mobile has been lacking information on their mysterious update,
so far I've noticed these changes with the new update:
Camera slide with knock on security
Snappier phone interface
Increased touch responsiveness (I use a 0.3mm tempered glass screen)
Increased IR blaster strength (It used to be terrible)
Bootloader still unlocked
Camera zoom recording fixed
Purpledrake root method works
Stock camera app now has a remote shutter for Android Wear devices
Option to disable the Bluetooth "battery level" notification when Bluetooth is connected
Untested by me:
Tweaked auto-brightness?
Decreased over-sharpening?
Better signal?
Wifi calling update?
Stump root works.
Google Wallet can use NFC.
I couldn't get stump root to work but purple drake did

I think that only happens if you where already rooted and accepted the update. If you never rooted with stump, or KDZ'ed back to stock then it works fine on the update.
No change in signal for me. Still at -105dBm at home, and around -110dBm at work. Im gonna sneak out to the floor at CTIA and see what i can get, i know verizon is around -84dBm. And their AWS band is running full speed, i installed it Friday...

Overall a pretty significant update. When I switched over to the new update on dalvik, I noticed that the battery was draining faster than usual, and the phone produced a lot more heat. Now that I've switched to ART my battery life is better and the heat has died down significantly.
Before the update I couldn't run ART because it would freeze occasionally and I would have to battery pull, but now it works fine

I rooted with purple drake and have twrp with a backup and I'm still on the stock rom… I want to take the update, is this a bad idea? By that I mean, am I probably gonna get stuck in that nutty bootloop? I don't care about losing root and having to root again. I just don't know if I should try reverting back to untouched stock first or something before taking the update.
One thing changed is you now have an option to disable the Bluetooth "battery level" notification for when Bluetooth is connected.
As some other users said, touchscreen is more responsive with glass plate installed. I had hard time playing Angry Birds Epic due to hit or miss touchscreen, but this time it's totally mistake-free.
Also I can hook up to my car radio aux problem was fixed for me at least
I'm rooted on zone ROM and I want to update and keep or retain root. How should I go about that?

Those who got stock in bootloop did not go back to complete stock. Complete stock means no xpose framework installed, nothing going on with your system, and IMPORTANTLY you are on STOCK recovery. So if you can find away to do all of that, you should be fine. I perosnally just used flashtool to go back to stock...took all but 2.35 minute. Once i booted, i did factory reset, took the update, did another factory reset rooted restore my apps and here i am
Can someone with the update confirm whether or not you can still use the brightness slider while auto brightness is on?
This is how it works on my girlfriend's AT&T variant (which I think is on build D) so her phone is always brighter than mine when side to side and on auto brightness.

Lol, not to be an ass but I cannot do that sir. I always say if you you root, you should be able to unroot by acquiring the knowledge to do so. If you cannot acquire such knowledge, you should not root until you know how to completely unroot for OTA. I've been using Lux for awhile, but have been having problems ever since I updated to the pro version. It's really slow to turning the brightness up when first turning on the screen so it's dark for a few seconds.
Downloaded another auto brightness app called Vellis so I'm hoping that works better. Really, all I want to do is make the auto brightness go brighter.

[ROM] CM12-Light BETA

A port from a S3's CM12 ROM for the [SGH-T399] Samsung Galaxy Light .
DISCLAIMER READ EVERYTHING BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS. This ROM was built for the T399, even though it was built on a rom that presumably worked on both models. People with Metro encounter FCs and Reboots when using High Accuracy GPS.
Android Version:5.0.2
With @Unjustified Dev's CM12 Build (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001602113) as a base (Thanks for your service!)
Also the Light in the name isn't because of it's size (yet(?))
Bugs:
- stock Cam still iffy, 3-rd party cam apps work. From personal use, Focal (by CM) works great, Cam Mx is good too.
- Prox/light sensor for telephony (off display when phone to ear) is iffy as well. From my use Gravity Screen has trouble using the light sensor when the flip cover option is not selected (6/10), when it is toggled the use is 8/10. Interestingly, when calling the screen turns off when close to ear flawlessly, sometimes it might not turn back on tho.
- Report if I left some out
--Streaming apps (Netflix, YT, Play Movies) has been reported to be not working. Some report that it's dependent on the .apk version. On the latest ver. of YT it works with no problems on various resolutions.
Oh and also.
I am not responsible to any damage to your device, PLEASE do a Backup of the device on TWRP.
Oh and as of right now I do not have the device in my possession. I GOT IT GUYZ
I'd like to thank you for supporting and testing this and helping to build support for this great device. :highfive:
Want a stock ROM as backup or for daily use? Here's my build Don't it's unstable.
I am holding off development until I get the device, sorry.
Read everything? Good, here's a link as your reward
ROM: V0.1 https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=35178
(Vanila) V.02 https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347772131 - CM stuff removed (for now), proximity sensor seems to be better
(Dirty) V0.2.2 https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347773480 - build.prop battery tweaks, added cam permissions in the boot.img, let's see if that makes a difference.
(Dirty) V.0.2.3 https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347774276 - libs migrations en mas (from stock, let's see where this rides takes us, HAVE A BACKUP READY PLZZZ)
MISC: GPS High Accuracy workaround for Metro (T399N) Read instructions here - THANK YOU @kireflow90 !
Also can I again thank @Unjustified Dev for building a solid CM build? He really did all the hard work.
Let me be the first to say mic seems to be working great while talking now ty. I'm Glad I'm you're little testing subject lol. Ty u again.

As long as you have a spare to continue using to flash roms then I can't deny something free
Also I will be uploading two versions of the ROM soon, one with build.prop (and soon, among others) tweaks and one that I will keep as vanilla as possible.
I will also try my best to keep this method of release. It could take a day or two tho :/ so please be patient.
Downloading CM12-light+0.2 will give you update when I flash
Edit: only improvement I've found is the proximity sensor. It seems to be a huge improvement. Idk if I just got lucky but it didn't turn the screen on at all

Oh I also added an AOSP Camera app there, did it replace the older AOSP one? Are there 2 instances of the app? How does it work for you?

[GUIDE][UPDATED] Fix MRA bug in Android 5+ (Causes huge battery drain)

Hi guys.
I'm a huge flashing enthuthiast, like a lot of people here.
I have Desire EYE with KitKat, and every time i was trying to update my phone to newer Android (LP, MM) I get the worst battery life you could imagine.
Also I saw a lot of users here, who was complaining about huge battery drain after flashing new roms (with clean install, factory reset, etc.)
After seaching a lot, I found some info about MRA bug.
You can look about it here. It's present only on 5+ versions of Android.
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=190396
It happens, when you use mobile network. After that, there is a big chance, that mobile radio module will work, and your app will continue to drain battery.
You can look at MRA time in your app settings. Just compare screen on time and mobile radio active time to know, if this bug affects your device.
I found a possible solution to fix it.
[Update]
Solution #1 [YOU NEED ROOT + XPOSED]
So, in a few words, here is the solution.
1) Install Xposed framework
2) Install MobileRadioActiveFix module and activate it.
Important: Install version 1.1 if you have Lollipop, or 1.2 if you have Marshmallow.
You may have bootloops if you install wrong version!
3) Reboot.
[Update]
Solution #2 [YOU NEED ROOT]
You can install "Mobile Radio Pwn" app.
Here is link to Google Play version (its cheap).
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidscout.octobot.mobileradiopwn&hl=en
And also you can dowload free version, attached to this post.
Thanks to authors of these modules - pylerSM and glauberlima.
And their git pages:
https://github.com/pylerSM/MobileRadioActiveFix
https://github.com/glauberlima/MobileRadioActiveFix
Thanks to Octobot, for his Mobile Radio Pwn app.
Here is his thread on OnePlus forums.
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/apk-octobots-mobile-radio-pwn-v1-3-1-updated-2015-08-09.323219/
Also I want to thank everyone, who shared this info.
P.S. Also I want to say sorry for any mistakes in my English
I had long mra times with my sync-app DAVdroid (more then 5h mra vs few minutes of activity).
I installed the module yesterday and it seems to work for me. DAVdroid gets not shown list at all.
Device: Motorola Moto G 3. Gen (2015)
ROM: cm12.1
thanks
wow this makes a lot of sense. I will try ASAP. Thanks a lot for this tutorial!

@xXminiWHOOPERxX can you please check this out. Maybe this is why our battery life is not as great as in kitkat :S Thanks!
Do I really have to install Xposed Framework in order to use this fix? Is there another possible way to use this fix without it? This fix sounds so glorious.

Every xposed module needs Xposed Framework to run. So you can't use it without Xposed Framework.
But I found another way.
You can try app called "Mobile Radio Pwn" from the Play Store, but be aware - I haven't tried it, so I'm not sure if it works at all.
This app is not free (but it's cheap enought) and it needs ROOT.

I'm actually not sure if it does work, it just toggles the data off when it's connected to wifi and once you lose wifi connection it toggles data on. I usually do that manually anyway and being that I'm on marshmallow and not lollipop, I don't know if it's truly working. My battery did make it through the whole day, from 10am-7pm my battery was at 32% when I got home. I usually have it at 30% by noon with moderate use.
Im going to really monitor my battery and post my usage up tomorrow night.

I think it's okay battery life, but try to count Screen-on-time (you can do that with Gsam battery monitor).
I'm also at Marshmallow, and have simulate results. But I think xposed module really helped me, my SoT is 4-5 hours with more than average usage.

Notification LED with screen on?

Is it possible to enable the notification LED to pulse on this device? I know it's possible with Android Nougat because it was working on my OnePlus 2 on RR. Oreo RR has the option on this device but it doesn't work properly, and any solution I've found for customizing the LED doesn't have an option to enable this functionality.

You'll need a 3rd party app like Light Flow or Light Manage from the play store. Personally, I use Light Manager. Works like a charm :good:

Thanks for the tip. I was actually trying to find something that would enable the LED to be turned on while the screen is on, but it looks like Light Manager confirmed my suspicion. It looks like either Oreo disabled this, or Pixel's LED just doesn't work this way.
Am using the DU ROM, and it has the option of LED in screen on / DND and it all works for me. I use this as my daily driver as am content with the insane amount of LED customization I get.

Ohh, excellent! How's battery life, the camera (I'm sure it's same as stock with Google camera right?) customization, stability? I'm perfectly happy on stock besides the LED, so I'm trying to figure out if it's worth going through the hassle of flashing another ROM. Thanks

Battery life is definitely better than stock, comparable to Nitrogen. My stock was giving slight less screen-on time and much less idle time. Not giving you any numbers as usages vary person to person.
Stability is good too.
Camera is all stock as usual.
There are a lot of DU tweaks, same as aquarios and other other ROMs. Maybe lil more or less, but am not that much into it. You can check out more in their website or the unofficial thread here in XDA.

Battery life being better than stock really surprises me, considering I regularly get 6-8 SOT with excellent standby.
Sounds pretty good, I'll definitely check it out. Thanks!

Just outa curiosity, why do you need the led light on while the phone is on if you already know you've got a message or whatever? ?

It's not necessarily something I absolutely need, I'd just like to have it back. I got used to having it on my OnePlus 2, and it was useful to be able to tell that I had a pending notification, like a message or a missed call during media consumption like Netflix or YouTube. It also allowed me to get rid of Heads Up notifications and disable vibrations.
