I saw in a post (OnePlus Community) that one of the users suggested using a different launcher.
Try NovaLauncher or something else.

Where is the home option in nougat update? How can i switch from default oneplus launcher to any other launcher and vice versa

Inconsistency on Zooper Templates Available in Different Launchers

I have been using the Epic Launcher on my Nexus 5, and as part of the process of setting up home screens in Epic, I created a pretty nifty home page/clock weather Zooper widget, using the 5x1 template widget as my starting point.
However, I recently decided to switch to the Google Now Launcher, and when I go to lay down the 5x1 template on my home page, it is not among the Zooper templates that are offered -- there is no 5x1 template in my Widget drawer when I'm using the Google Now Launcher but if I switch back over to the Epic launcher and I open up the widget drawer, the 5x1 template is there.
Why is this happening and how to get access to the 5x1 in the Google Now Launcher?

You cant that I am aware. Google launcher is only offered in 4x4. To combat this in main settings for the widget you can scale it down to fit the 4x1 size. A customer launcher with grid sizes you can set is almost a necessity for zooper. I for one use a 10x7 or 9x7 grid almost exclusively when using zooper.

Thanks -- I should have noted that I'm using xPosed Framework Google Launcher Settings which allows me to redefine the grid, which is set for 5 columns and 7 rows.
Is there a reason that Zooper isn't picking up on the xPosed configuration? Any way around that, if so?
Thanks again for the quick reply.

FWIW, I went back and checked and the 4x1 widget template is not available either, only 4x2. Strange...
I have the paid version of Zooper but I tried downloading the free version to see if that might make a difference, but no cigar. The same templates for both...

Zooper widget placeholders

Hey Zoops...I have a question; I created some Zooper widgets and I have a minor problem and dont know what the work around is.
The widgets I created or themed have to be resized to fit my screen, and when I resize them it makes the Borders/Placeholder bigger than the actual widget and so what happens is that once I get them on my screen I have to send some"To the back" or Bring some of them " to the front" in order to be able to use them as created ( tap actions etc). Is there a way to fix this?
I am running NOTE 4 rooted, Nova Launcher prime, Zooper Pro. I tried changing the grid size in Nova launcher but then stuff got really funky...haha..Thanks so much!!!

Have you try "Scaling" the widget inside Zooper?

Thanks for the reply, I have tried Scaling them and it does help, I think the problem lies when I used APP Dpi in Xposed and choose a "finer" DPI.... I can get it where it looks good in Zooper by scaling, but then when it actually shows on the screen I still have to "resize" and it just doesnt fit well so I get a lot of wasted screen real estate...I noticed in Nova launcher that If I select disable padding it helps with other widgets, but the long press on my zooper widgets I dont get the option. If I did I would be golden.

Chrome missing from lockscreen

I have recently noticed that Chrome has disappeared from the shortcuts on the lockscreen (it was right next to the unlock icon). I'm running ver 1.80.401.3, the device is not rooted and Chrome is updated.
You have to place the Chrome shortcut on your homescreen (of course with HTC Sense Launcher - This will not work if you use nova launcher or a simliar app).
All shortcuts in your dock on your homescreen are also visible on your lockscreen.

Such a great launcher. Minimalist and super awesome for navigating around the home screen. Drag down to get recent apps and an instant Google/phone search. Swipe up to get all your apps.

My most used apps in two rows
The dock with some more apps that I use frequently and two additional pages. The dock can be scrolled to the left and right. Have three pages of it with the clock app, Spotify and so on.
Pressing and sliding upwards the app list icon on the bottom right opens up an overlay which shows me my eight most used apps plus a search for all apps.

I spent about 2 hours yesterday installing and testing weather widgets. Finally got this one, it can be about 90% customized. I love it.
Application is named "Transparent clock & weather"

Love wallpaper !
Where did you find it ?
Nova Launcher Prime with 3 dock pages with folders
Moto Z clock and weather widget ported
Antimo and Stealth icon packs
Huawei Mate 9 Wall
Nova launcher with widget overlaps.
new icons
Nova
Andromeda icon
Nova Launcher Prime and Umbra icon pack:
- 2 pages with the Home screen having three eWeather widgets
- Right panel has Any.do widget displaying my various appointments (not shown here)
- Both panels use a dock:
- Left folder contains my most used Google apps and the right folder has my favorite apps
- Other Dock Icons are all essential phone apps (Typeapp, Textra, Phone, Contacts+, Camera)
Theme:
- Substratum theme manager (ROOT) and Swift Black theme
- Wallpaper a fully black 1080x1920 png file made with Linux Gimp
Nova Launcher & OOS Gestures:
- 1 Finger down expands notifications
- 2 Fingers up displays application draw
- 2 Fingers down displays settings
- Long press on Home button triggers Google Assistant as well is saying "OK Google" from any screen
I only like dark themes which helps save battery with an AMOLED screen. I'm also a minimalist and detest screens scattered with icons when they can so easily be accessed from the app draw or an on screen folder. To me it's like looking at a room strewn with discarded cloths.
Nova Launcher, Wafer - Zooper, Whicons - Icons
Edit: Original Wallpaper is in a reply down the thread.

Nova vs System Launcher. Which is clear winner?

I do say that the best launcher with customization is Ofcourse Nova launcher.
Nova launcher beta version is now Google companion supported. It will soon roll out for Stable Nova version.
Nova vs System Launcher
[Nova launcher]✓
1-App drawer
2-Change Grid
3-change dimensions
4-Widget resizing overlapping.
5-Custom folder options
6-Backup and restore Configs
7-App drawer Configs
8-Desktop Configs
[System Launcher]✓
1- Lite weight Ram friendly
2-Clean UI
3-Minimal options
4-Supported with Themes
5-beautiful Setup
Some screenshots here with some themes.
Actually System Launcher takes more RAM than nova, both are good in their own features.
MIUI launcher also has live icons for Clock, Calendar and Weather app. Almost all the launchers have live Calendar option now but if I remember correctly, MIUI v6, v7 or maybe both also had seconds display along with hour and minute hands on the clock app icon. That looks pretty if you ask me
I've used Nova launcher before. It's nice. Lots of customization. However. I am using the default MIUI launcher now and I honestly don't miss Nova.
System Launcher
I am more stock admirer so nova hands down... I actually have only one page in nova and launching most apps with appdialer. I use launcher page mainly for some informational widgets and shortcuts
Nova all the way, light and well performing
Nova its customizable, you can turn off / Block screen with Double Tap. Also support 3rd party beauty icons. The bad Thing is some widgets like clock do not work properly.
MIUI stock its very good and support a lot of beautiful themes. Pretty widget and Wallpapers but you can put apps icons by alphabetic order.
smart launcher is way better than both of them, i really dont understand why it isnt more popular
No way default launcher of mi can beat nova...ecen stock Android launcher is better than mi home launcher...After buying a mi phone the first thing I did was to install Nova launcher.
And for the second choise use Buzz launcher
System launcher

I liked Nova Launcher but i like simplicity of Evie Launcher. It has double tap lock and supports different icon packs available on playstore. Give it a try. One more thing is its Free and Ad Free. Enjoy.
I like Nova launcher for the fact you can edit truncated app names, and scroll the dock plus other things. The ONE thing MIUI launcher has in its favor is the Quick Function Widget has a toggle that will turn Mobile data on and off directly without going thru the settings. Thats a big plus for me, but you cant edit app names, or scroll the dock Its a real shame that you cant directly toggle mobile data on and off with nova or power toggle, like you can do with Native MIUI launcher
