Lg G5 Demo-Unit - Sprint LG G5 Questions & Answers

Hello, I want to buy Lg G5 demo-unit and I have some questions:
1.Can I unlock a bootloader?
2.Can I unlock it to use it with different carriers?

Is it a sprint demo unit?

I have a galaxy s4 mini from US cellular. I was wondering if I could unlock it so I that I could use it on sprint, or verizon? Like could I root it and it will work or will I have to unlock it

Rooting it will not unlock the device. You'll need to get an unlock code from the carrier the device is locked too.
Here's the link the US Cellular's device unlocking policy

For verizion? Probably none. Though I thought I found a thread on rooting a verizon S7/S7 edge on here, so who knows. makes me hopeful.

question about buying from Motorola.

Is the Verizon model bought directly from Motorola able to unlock the bootloader?

If it is unlockable I'm ditching my x pure for this.

That's the only thing holding me back from pulling the trigger and getting this over the pixel 2

Even though it is purchased from Motorola, it is just as if you purchased it from a VZW store.

unlock carrier lock?

I am using MetroPCS. I wonder if I can buy a carrier branded version and then unlock it to use.

But wouldn't it be easier to just get the unlock version?

Branded version is cheaper I think

Sometimes it is, but not always. Amazon has the G8 listed and every so often it's on sale, I picked mine up for $499, carrier lock free, and besides Alexa it doesn't have any carrier bloat except for the normal LG stuff (Amazon specific version, no Google assistant button)

Samsung s9 on Xfinity Mobile?

Anyone running a Samsung/carrier unlocked S9 on Xfinity Mobile network? I’d rather avoid buying one from then to avoid bloatware.
Do all the S9s have all the same bands? Heard people having issues with u locked s8/s9 on XM.
Also if I buy an unlocked will I still get software updates?

I have 2 S9's on Xfinity with zero problems!

How do I activate my Note9 on Xfinity? It was originally from Sprint but it is now unlocked.

All galaxy devices are identical since the S8 apart from the 2 processor choices and sim tray configurations. Every qualcomm S9 is exactly the same at the motherboard level and all have the same capabilities. Get whichever G960U you like and if you have any issues getting the verizon service up and running on it, get the latest firmware from sammobile.com/firmwares and flash it in Odin. By doing so, you now have a full fledged verizon phone that should work with 99.999% of vzw MVNOs including XM

Flash its respective vzw firmware just to make it easier on yourself, get the xfinity LTE sim card, pop it in, boot, profit
