[Kernel][Root] Stock Nougat kernel patched with DM-Verity, DRM Fix (Single sim) - Xperia Z4/Z3+ Android Development

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share stock nougat kernel(32.3.A.0.372 Customized IN) patched which has DM-Verity, DRM fix and can be used to root. I have successfully rooted my device using the steps explained by @serajr here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70595975&postcount=1702
Currently there is no way to get TWRP and disable Sony RIC.
For TWRP, use below fast boot command to boot temporarily and do whatever you want.
For disabling Sony RIC and get write access to system, use root explorer or any other apps which is similar, and edit the follow file /sys/kernel/security/sony_ric/enable to '0' when you want to modify any system files or folders.
TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES.
Steps To root device:
1) Boot any stock patched kernel (boot.img) with TWRP from Marshmallow or Zach's kernel using following fast boot command and access TWRP while booting using Volume Up button.
Code:
fastboot boot boot.img
2) Flash attached zip
3) Flash latest supersu zip
4) Turn off, and boot your device normally
Hope this helps someone.
Please say thanks if this helped you.
Thank you.

Thanks.
Have just one question. Do we install 32.3.0.A.372 (nougat) using flashtool, or is there a flashable zip for twrp?!
I'm presently rooted with twrp on stock marshmallow.

You have to download nougat firmware from xperiafirm, and flash using flashtool. There is no flashable zip for sony stock firmware.

Yes, if you follow the guide I linked or used my kernel.

Here's the dual sim, tested and working
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7yqhIuaJsyNUmJtX0d1V3ZvMlk/view?usp=drivesdk

Cannot boot MM Kernel using fastboot command. Also tried flashing but doesnt work
FYI
I'm Using Single-Sim Version of the kernel "Z4_Z3P_SK_Permissive_v5.11_III.2_4_7_ctl_X_iv y"
Also using Flashtool 0.9.23.2
I'm on 32.3.A.0.372, Updated via OTA on phone. After Flashing 32.2.A.5.11 from xperifirm
Bootloader still reports UNLOCKED
Please Help
UPDATE: Just had to Disable Xperia MyProtection. It got activated by itself after OTA

I try it but my phone not root, open superus show notification "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it". Please Help

DRM fix doesn't work. XReality (among other things I assume) are ever disabled.
On Marshmallow DRM fix was working fine (was using XReality engine despite the unlocked bootloader)

ROOT firmware .569 and install dual recovery (UNLOCKED)

i tried rooting the new firmware and it was a success, i now have root and dual recovery installed on stock 4.3
here's the other link i posted http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48805157#post48805157
here's how. (my device is locked BL)
LINKS UPDATED!! (recovery)
1.Backed up my TA Partition
2.Flashed the official .569 ftf using flashtool
3.Unlocked my ZL's bootloader
4.Flash this kernel to get recovery (thanks Minthun46) http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=700#downloads extract the boot.img and flash it using fastboot or flashtool (fastboot mode)
5.Flash Supersu fix zip and dual recovery (thanks NUT) SUPERSU fix.zip http://nut.xperia-files.com/download.php?dlid=U3VwZXJTVV9maXg=
recovery that i used http://nut.xperia-files.com (download the latest flashable zip for ZL)
6.Re flash .569 ftf exclude everything except kernel and fotakernel.
7.Restore TA Backup.
FOR UNLOCKED BL
just follow step 2, 4, 5, and 6
VOILA!!! device is now rooted and has working recovery
PS
Will only work for ZL that can be bootloader unlock.
Hit thanks if it helps you.
Don't put Locked BL in the title, you only managed to root because your phone was unlockable. Putting Locked BL in the title states that your bootloader can also be locked for this method to work, and but unless your ZL can be bootloader unlocked, this method cannot be used for locked BL

Well, I had a working 6.0.1 32.2.0.224 firmware. After flashing this boot.img using TWRP, after super SU (SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip) and wiping Cache/Dalvik cache after --> Stuck on Sony logo.
After I tried "boot_ivy_dsds_11_v1.img" (Update 4) from this thread (by bruno$0): https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...rnel-ric-disable-twrp-root-dm-verity-t3417078

Root is working only for apps. System is still read only since kernel is not fully patched yet. Anyway system is writable in Twrp if you want to modify it.

Well there's no MM based SPFT file, so all you have to do is either flash stock kk/LP using SPFT or if you've twrp installed, boot into TWRP again and wipe everything except SD, flash the MOB31E full stock Rom zip. Link : MOB31E OTA's and flashable zips thread

Hello, please help
The device is canvas a1 and it is fully updated till the last update via OTAs only. I performed factory reset on it. It is now stuck on setup wizard. Not able to skip from there.
I wanted to flash it again.
So, can you please tell if it is OK to flash KK or LP flash files?
(I am asking this because, its BL might have got upgraded in OTA updates and it could be dangerous to downgrade to lower versions by flashing.)

Nothing to worry. Once you get twrp, just clean flash stock lollipop Rom. Don't use SPFT, you gonna brick your phone if something goes wrong wrong. I'll link you LP (flashable via twrp) Rom, tell me when you done.

If one of it's installation steps is to be fully unrooted first and the boot image should be stock.
I already rooted and modified the boot image as for this device we need to flash a file to the boot.img to stop the device from encrypting the internal storage to be able to mount it.

By Odin flash TWRP, copy the Magisk file to the memory of the phone or to the SD card and Magisk flash by TPWR recovery.
When you restart, install the Magisk manager apk and that's it.

This is normal and it happened because you flashed the AP file only
If you want to get rid of these Russian providers menus and have stock settings menu you need to flash the full rom files (BL+AP+CP+CSC) via Odin.

No you shouldn't get a fail.
If you're encountering any issues in flashing via Odin make sure to use the latest version 3.12.3

Many people reported that the Russian firmware is working flawlessly on A320FL Model and no one mentioned any issues during the flash process.
For me, first time i flashed the rom the flash progress stopped near the end because i was using the 3.10.7 (not 3.12.7 as you mentioned) version just like you.
After using the 3.12.3 version it worked perfectly.
So you nead to use the latest version of Odin (3.12.3)
Whether this method can be applied in galaxy a7 2017 running in nougat?

Custom recovery isn't required if you use Magisk to root, but custom kernel is no exception.
I tried to modify stock kernel with Magisk Manager but it failed.
Currently I don't have Linux PC so building custom kernel may be a problem.

Use Android Image Kitchen by @osm0sis to convert the boot.elf (boot.img) and fotakernel.elf (recovery.img) to standard aosp .img format then test using fastboot (Bootloader must be unlocked) Check out other "mediatek" xperia device threads also.
I tried before.
It didn't work as it cannot unpack the boot.img extracted using Flashtool sin converter

Upload the boot.sin and fotakernel.sin only to a NO spam file host like mega or G-drive and I will take a look when I get some time.

Actually, you can download full ROM using Flashtool with xperifirm, and extract boot and recovery using SIN extractor.
Currently I am at work and I will upload them to android file host later Monday

Did you Really type that.
I have enough #***# on my PC without adding even more unnecessary Gig's for a device I don't even own.
As you will know there are many variants country to country single sim dual sim etc so I will need the boot from the testers variant and not just one I made guess at.

Here is the boot.img to test.
It has not been modified in anyway so encryption and verity are still enabled as they are in the stock .elf
IF it boots then we will move on.
Bootloader unlock is required just for clarity and anyone thinking of testing it.
I have successfully modified the kernel and mine is rooted.
The next one will be dual SIM version and it will come later.
Here is mine https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673791459329055871

Use Notepad ++ to edit default.prop
ro.secure=0
ro.debuggable=1
Save and repack.
That's it.

So I need not of wasted my time after all
I am well aware of how to root a kernel and do all things regarding sony and mediatek and I think you somehow got your wires crossed.
I suggested to you how to modify the kernel.elf but you said you tried and failed that's why I offered to HELP I don't even have the L1 hence the reason for not going for the full on modification of the kernel until it was fully tested.
Anyway now your underway I will leave you all to get on with it.
Good Luck :good:
Unfortunately, I am still unable to make TWRP for L1 at this time.
Moreover, it appears that modified stock image doesn't work for other L1 variations, and all I have is US version. I uploaded all three variations and see the results.
It looks like SIM cannot be read with modified image.
