Hi, you need to add nova launcher and tesla to automatic app launch at advanced options from apps.

Hello,
This is a known issue on several brands of devices and you can try this to see if it helps fix the issue.
Fix For OnePlus:
System Settings -> Battery -> Menu -> Aggressive Doze & App Hibernation(Turn these off completely)
Also under that menu High Power Usage Apps, if Nova Launcher/TeslaUnread show here, disabled them
System Settings -> Advanced -> Recent App Management -> Normal Clear should be set, not Deep Clear
Once you have that set, it should work properly and stop turning itself off. However, if you're not using a Samsung device then it's probably something very similar that you need to do. If you can't find anything similar then you will need to contact the manufacturer of your device.

I find the solution for my self for this issue, i also been frustrated with this issue in Oxygen OS 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 both. So what i did...
Follow the below steps....
Take your Nova Launcher settings "backup" from Nova Launcher settings.
1. Uninstall Nova Launcher prime
2. Uninstall Nova Launcher (I am Using beta, if you are not using beta it's oksy...just remove the nova Launcher)
3. Unistall Tesla app
4. Install Nova Launcher Prime
5. Install Nova Launcher
enable all the permission (do not open)
6. Install Tesla app
Enable all the permission including Notification Access permission also.
7. Open Nova Launcher and select your backup
8. Open "count and read" option in Nova Launcher and enable and disable that toggle for 5-6 time, at last just enable that
Bingo, it was worked fine for me.
Hope it will work with you also.

WidgetLocker + GoLancher = trouble?

When i shut my phone off and turn it back on it will get to the widget locker lock screen like it should but once i slide to unlock there will be no icons on my screen? I have root and am using widgetlockers home helper thing it also did this using lancher pro.
I usually have to turn the phone on and off a few times before the icons will show after unlock.
Any ideas?
Maybe you should set it to default when it asks which one you want to use..
Or I haven't understood your problem
COnfused.com
I would ask in the widget locker and go launcher help thread in the main android app section. I use both in conjunction and have had zero issues but I know the last go update was fixing some icon issues so make sure you update.
Also more info could be helpful. Such as what rom, kernel, etc
go lancher is set as the default. It's once you unlock from the lock screen there will be no icons.
I'm using the stock ROM rooted KE7 2.3.3

Are you using the integrated icon switching or are you using desktop Visualizer?

I'm not sure what you mean? I really haven't did anything but set go lancher as the default lancher and in widget locker i had to set it to use WL HomeHelper (optional) if i don't you can double press the home button and bypass the screen lock.
It's random when the icons don't come up after a unlock.

Are you using custom icons? If not, or even if so bring it up to the go dev team. Definitely looks to be something on their end. Have to tried to replicate it without widget locker?
Nothing to do with widget locker I think (I use it too in conjuction with Go Launcher) however there seems to be a bit of a bug in Go Launcher where icons randomly disappear - the last update was supposed to have fixed that but hasn't really, some still occasionally go missing from my home screens too. The easiest thing to do for now is to put all your apps and shortcuts how you want them, then backup the configuration from within Go Launcher preferences, next time they go walkies just hit restore configuration and job done. Just remember to back up the config every time you add or remove stuff.
I'm using go launcher and widgetlocker for 24 hours now and having no problems at all, initially the launcher was slow, but after 1-2 hours when I used it again, it was smooth, maybe cache related thing

I am using go lancher themes from the market. It did it again the whole screen is blank after a unlock no icons at all only the wallpaper shows. Lancher Pro did the same thing.
I can go into go lancher settings click on themes and nothing comes up.
I used widgetlocker and go launcher ex. I have not had any problems.
Preferences -> Operation settings -> Screen rotation (switch off)
I had the same problem, got rid of it by applying this setting. Wish you luck
Already had the rotation off.
If i hold down the home button after i unlock and bring up the task manger and find widget locker and do a force close all my icons come back.
As a note, I get this exact same issue with ADW Launcher EX.
Happens only right after a reboot, and not every time - WidgetLocker Lockscreen appears, I unlock and find a completely blank screen (Only the notification bar shows). Pressing the menu button brings up the ADW Launcher Ex menu though...
Restarting ADW Launcher doesn't seem to help, only rebooting a couple times until it does appear seemed to help me, but I'll try force closing widget locker itself next time.
I initially set ADW as default launcher, but then set the WL HomeHelper as default in widgetlocker settings, which I believe is the correct way to do it to block the home button from auto unlocking etc.
Edit: Restarted the phone just to test, and force closing widgetlocker does do the trick - minor annoyance only I guess

Yes it is for me it seems to only do it when i'm in a hurry lol
I use widgetlocker and GoLauncher too.
I've had the same problem this morning too, but a reboot of the device fixed the problem.
I've had similar issues without Widgetlocker installed, so I think the cause is to be found in GoLauncher. But the phone reboots very fast so I am not really bothered by it.
I used LP and switched to GO Launcher.
GoLauncher is set as default launcher at the first boot.
In WidgetLocker i disabled the homebutten with homehelper to stop the unlock by the homebutton.
No the problem:
When i reboot, there is a message that says "go launcher is not your default launcher." (Attach 1)
When i click ok, i'm in the assignments of WidgetLocker (Attach 2)
When i disable the homehelper in WL there is no problem when i reboot.
But i want to disable the homebutton...
Any ideas?
BTW: LP is disabled!
I'm using Litening Rom 6.1
I had exactly the same issue and stopped using Go Launcher as a result. It would only happen sometimes but it would require me to restart my phone. I now use ADW instead and it works fine.

Nova Launcher on Nextbit

I am personally not that taken with the Nextbit Robin native launcher, and have decided to go with Nova Launcher instead.
If you want to see the basic cloud functions of the phone and what still works on Nova take a look at the article on my blog here which includes a youtube video walkthrough:
http://www.thetestspecimen.com/nextbit-robin-launcher-review-nova/
Just so you know, you can pin apps and unpin apps very easily in Nova. While in the stock launcher, you can enable debug settings in the Smart Storage by tapping on the version. Then enable Smart Storage in Launcher. Then when you switch back to Nova, when you want to pin an app, go to the Smart Storage app and select Pin Apps in the menu. Profit.

How can I remove the weather widget?

It's very annoying Pixel launcher forced to put the stupid weather widget. The data is not accurate and not update. I have a very good local weather app with accurate data and forecast.
You can't unless you use a different launcher like Nova

Later version of Pixel launcher may fix that???
Disable weather cards in google now.
I think it's as simple as disabling location, refreshing the Google now cards and rebooting.

You can disable location and get rid of the weather, that is true. It will however, leave a date widget in its place

My initial challenge was how to turn it on once I had my Pixel (thus Pixel Launcher). I went through a variety of procedures via discussion groups, and it finally worked when I enabled "Location" in the "Permissions" of the Pixel Launcher app in the Android app settings. Thus, when I wanted to disable it, I turned that permission off, and just in case, also went to Google app's hamburger menu--> customize--> Everything else and selected "no" for the three weather update options, themselves hard to figure out how they differ. This will also disable the weather widget inside of the google app, which is equally useless as the one on the homescreen (they are linked) as it requires manually updating. However, before you eliminate that widget in the Google app, tap it to open it up into a search window view, then tap its 3 dot menu (on right) and select the option to put a weather icon on the home screen. This icon (not an app in the app drawer, oddly) can only be created here, and opens up to a really cool Google weather app, which, upon tapping that home screen icon, will always be updated! ....
Last thing: whenever you make these sorts of changed to system functions, at least on Android 7.x, changes will often require a restart!

Yeah because you want to lose full functionality of device location just to get rid of the weather widget. /s

Another (maybe simpler) solution is to downgrade to the first version of pixel launcher. It's on apkmirror and it doesn't have the weather widget. You'll lose the swipe up anywhere to apps thought... But works fine!

Assist & Voice input

Hi to all!
Simply question: I want to remove the google assistant in the bottom corners of the homescreen, so i go settings>apps & notifications>default apps>assist & voice input>assist app and i select none and till here nothing to say. The problem is that everytime i reboot or switch off the phone, google assistant return as default app instead of "none" and it's a lot weird. There's a way to definitely remove the app? i don't want to uninstall or disable it, only remove from the corners. Maybe a fake app to put there instead of google. Thank you!

If you're rooted, just freeze it with titaniumbackup. If not rooted, use adb to disable.
Edit... N/m Check the launcher settings? I use nova launcher so never seen it.
Which os are you on?
when I follow that route (settings>apps & notifications>default apps>assist & voice input>assist app) I just have Google, no option for "none".
i use the MS launcher and I've never had the Google assistant on the home screen, switched back to the 1+ default and it wasn't there either
I'm on stock oos 10.0.12, I've taken a screen.. and I'm using Nova launcher

I've said I don't want to disable it because I think it could give problems
EDIT: See now from PC that your sentence was crossed out. I'm using nova too, is there a setting inside launcher that i don't see?

I'm not sure.. I have mine set to 'none' as I don't use the assistant. I haven't had any issues. In fact, it's been that way since I set up the phone some 9 months ago.

How To Guide How to change the system/default launcher

A while back, Xiaomi introduced a policy where a user would only be able to use a handful of vetted launchers (via the MI App Store).
That's applicable to the China ROM - Global ROMs are not affected, however, some devices are only released in the Asian market & only see the light of day in the US or EU as gray imports.
Using the Mi Launcher wouldn't have been an issue if it were at least half decent, which it is not.
There is a simple workaround I tested on the Mix Fold 2 (MIUI v13):
1: you need to have developer mode unlocked & adb working
2: install your launcher of choice
3: in an adb shell, uninstall 2 apps:
pm uninstall --user 0 com.miui.securityadd
pm uninstall --user 0 com.miui.securitycenter
4: switch to your launcher via Settings -> Apps -> Manage Apps -> Default Apps.
5: reinstall the Security Center, else you'll face a soft brick on your next reboot:
pm install-existing --user 0 com.miui.securitycenter
6: wave & smile to Xiaomi; there's no rational explanation for strongarming users to their launcher. They should have at least unlocked the possibility to switch in developer settings.
7: Reboot.

No, full screen gestures don't - you're limited to on screen navigation buttons.
I haven't changed this yet, but there are some 3rd party apps you can use instead & hide the navigation bar as well. One of these was Fluid NG, but it hasn't been updated for a while.

Tried Fluid but didn't work lol. Thank you!
I’ve been using the Microsoft launcher instead, but appreciate the step-by-step for future. Really love the mix fold 2 over my fold 4, with the exception of the folds superior launcher (the little taskbar is so intuitive for multitasking). Hoping Android 12l or 13 will help….
very cool. many thanks for that tweak !!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, I was happy to early. After some actions the MIUI launcher is back as default launcher
So It isn't working on my fold with MIUI13
Will it be possible to remove the MIUI launcher ?? And MIUI keyboard ?

OK, I found the issue. I have had shelter installed and as soon as I have opened a app in shelter, my default launcher was gone. After factory reset all working
fine without shelter installed
No need to use adb to change launcher
Just
Download nove launcher from Google play
And with nova launcher icon tab hard to show icon settings
Then tab make it default launcher
And then choose the launcher you want
