Does anyone know how to SIM Unlock SM-920P (Sprint Network Unlocked) - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6

Does anyone know how to SIM Unlock SM-920P (Sprint Network Unlocked) ?

Hi,
You need to use one of the boxes available off the web. There is one kicking about for around $140 dollars that will do most of the samsung models.
I wont post any links but a quick google search with the correct keywords will sort you out.

Check ebay. Remote unlocking starts from 7$

Idoneapps. No root required like the technicians on eBay. Price is between $20 to $30. You download the app and a custom imei package gets generated with your purchase. The app uses that package to unlock your phone. App may require you to temporarily downgrade to Lollipop using Odin. My phone since then has used Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T. All the Sims and services work just fine and my knox isn't tripped.

Alternately, if your phone is paid off as in not blacklisted due to non-payment on any postpaid account..Then you can ask Sprint to unlock it for free. It's their FCC obligation.

[Q] Unlocking Rogers, Bell Canada phones for AT&T

From this Wikipedia list...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_III
...it appears that both Rogers and Bell in Canada are offering a SGH-I747 Samsung GS3 which is listed as the same variant as AT&T. However, they are offering internal 32GB models and AT&T is not, and that's what I want. I'm current using an iPhone 4S 64GB and I want to be able to swap sim cards back and forth between phones. Yes, I know I can get a 64GB microSD card but I want 96Gb on the phone (I don't want to argue this point).
So I have a few questions:
1) If I get a Rogers or Bell phone without contract and manage to unlock it, will it be fully compatable with the AT&T network just by swapping sims cards with the iPhone?
2) Will it work with AT&T LTE as well as 3G / Edge, both cell and data?
3) Does unlocking companies like cellunlocker.net actually WORK? Is this legal?
Thanks in advance for any info anyone can provide.
Tony
The Bell. Rogers, Telus have the same hardware as the AT&t phone other than the sofware, rom and modem is a little different. I have used AT&T phone here in Canada without issues. The only problem, right now for at least the first month, they will not sell you a phone outright, either new contract or as a upgraded only.
---------- Post added at 08:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:34 PM ----------
Also it is legal to unlock your phone and you can get the sim unlock codes from companies like cellular unlock.

Hola
I will step in here and say you are presently incorrect about not being able to buy this phone outright. I bought it at a local Bell Canada store (32gb) and no regrets yet.
That being said Bell is the only carrier that is allowing this at the moment. But do note buying the phone outright online is not possible which is an obvious limitation if you can't visit a local store.

Bought mine straight out at a Rogers Store in Ottawa. Walked in bought it and popped my sim in when I got to my car.

I have same problem.
I'll take the opportunity to note that Telus also sells the phone outright; you may have to get it directly from them, though.
You can just go buy the phone out right wherever you want I walked into futureshop bought a Rogers s3 then took it to my buddy who works at a cell repair shop and he unlocked it for me. Money is money whoever says it can't be done is flat out lying

[Q] Is Sprint Galaxy S6 domestic SIM unlockable?

According to Sprint unlock policy, it says "For domestic SIM unlockable devices launched after February 2015, Sprint will automatically unlock the device when it becomes eligible." Does anyone know if Sprint Galaxy S6 phones are domestic SIM unlockable?
Thanks,
RJ
I'd like to know as well... and maybe a more pertinent question, does it even have a sim slot on sprint?
Yes. Just got mine today. And does have sim card.
can it be used with a AT&T or T-Mobile SIM card?
Did you try to use a SIM card from a different carrier to see if it worked or not?
I have not as I do not have any others to try.
If we pay full price for it will the phone be unlocked? I have simple mobile so I need an unlocked version and I couldn't figur out how to get it from t mobile that way. Also Verizon is unlocked but seems like Verizon messed with the software ruining some things so I'd rather avoid them.

Typically the best way to get an "Unlocked" version is straight through the manufacturer or looking for a g920F on amazon. The phones sold by carriers are specifically designed for their networks, so compatibility may not be what you need. Usually the Factory Unlocked variants (Model Fs) have more radios in them and are compatible with more networks.

This app first of all only unlocks it for overseas so if you're trying to unlock it domestically you're beat. I already got the apps online and unlocked it for overseas and its pretty useless domestically. Sprint will unlock it but make sure they do it right. It isn't the msl that does nothing to unlock your phone. TRust me I worked for them before
Another Success
I put in an order with idone, and he successfully domestic unlocked my phone. It Works
I got data and text working on a sm-g920r7 which is very close to the Sprint model but calls still don't work, any advice?

Yep, they have to unlock your device once your contract is up.
Sprint phones are SIM unlock able, I got mine unlocked from sprint as the contract was up and I moved to another provider.
Also, for those who have their SIM's unlocked, you will need the MSL to actually get non-sprint LTE working on your phone. You can get that from sprint or you need to root your phone to get the MSL (search threads here on XDA, I cannot post links yet).
Once you have MSL, you need to go into sprint data programming to enable to the LTE bands for the phone to get non-sprint LTE, i had to search a lot before I could get it working:
key in ##DATA# on your dialpad
click on EDIT, type in your MSL
Go to LTE, band priority, make 2, 5, 15 as your first three bands, the rest can be anything
disable the sprint bands band 25, band 26, band 41 by clicking on each of those options under LTE and uncheck the enable box
Now go back
Choose eHRPD and and disable it, phone should automatically reboot and you have AT&T LTE bands available to you
Link for the above video can be found on youtube by searching for Spring galaxy S7 enable lte bands (can't post link as I don't have rights yet)

Canadian (Bell) Pixel XL - Sim Unlocked?

Does anybody know if my Bell Pixel XL is SIM Locked? I am trying to use a Roam Mobility Sim card in my Bell Pixel XL, and it doesnt ask for an unlock code but will not show any signal connect.
I tried the same card in my S7 Edge and it works fine. Normally if the phone is locked and you put in a foreign sim, it should ask for network unlock code but it doesnt show anyhting.
Any suggestions?
I am about to go travelling and have the same question. I used to use Knowroaming, but I want to try a local post as you go in Europe. Little help?
If it was purchased through a carrier then there's a chance that its sim locked, although I thought all Pixels were sim unlocked. If the sim doesn't doesn't work when you pop it in you could always try going into the network settings and reset them and see if that helps. You could also call your carrier if you got the phone through them and see what they say. If you got your Pixel through Google then it's definitely sim unlocked --carriers are not allowed to sim lock an unlocked phone that you use on their network. They sim lock the phone if you buy it directly from the carrier on a payment plan but after you pay off the phone and own it outright they are supposed to unlock the phone for use on other carriers if you request it--at least in the United States. I thought we were the only country where people bought subsidized phones through a phone carrier so except possibly in Canada that shouldn't be an issue anywhere else.

All Canadian Pixels are unlocked. I've used mine in Europe (Ireland) and it worked with no hastle or setup required. Put in foreign SIM and go. Enjoy those data rates over there. 20 Euro top up gets you free unlimited LTE data. Pisses me off every time I come back to Canada and pay the **** prices we pay here.

Lock for AT&T Galaxy S9

Hello, my wife just bought a Galaxy S9 from someone on Letgo. She didn't know anything about IMEI's and what not but come to find out that the phone is still being financed from the person she bought it from. It is an AT&T phone. The seller listed it as an unlocked device but when she got home and put her T-Mobile SIM into it, it wouldn't work. What kind of lock would be on this device and what would be the best thing to do since she wants to use it with T-Mobile?

the type of lock it has on it is a blacklist from at&t itself then. You should be able to get the phone carrier unlocked irrespective of the blacklist but, the phone will likely not be able to be used on any at&t service directly or on an MVNO. The unlock services youre going to be relegated to the paid unlock services unless you can find that @stifilz guy who has been known to unlock them out of the kindness of his heart. idoneapps.com can even un-blacklist phones. But they charge and i am not advertising their services (so the mods dont thump me for just trying to help LoL)

Flashing unlocked US firmware on verizon note 10 to carrier unlock

Can i flash unlocked US firmware on verizon note 10? I am using the phone outside the US and whenever i insert a sim card it works for a few moments and then the change carrier notification pops up. I think the phone modem is unlocked and it has something to do with the software.
The notification comes from the dialer app.
Please help.

I had the same issue after buying a supposedly "unlocked" Verizon N10+ Even after flashing the U1 (unbranded) firmware I still got the same message you did. The phone is locked to Verizon. I believe that after 60 days the lock comes off (assuming the phone isn't blacklisted)

Verizon phones used to be unlocked from day 1. They recently just started the 60 day rule before it's unlocked... Within the last 2 months

It would seem that the phone is locked to verizon for 60 days. I imagine you need to have a valid verizon sim card inserted and active on a line for the 60 days. The unlocking is supposed to be automatic.
For reference here is the policy from Verizon:
https://www.verizon.com/about/consumer-safety/device-unlocking-policy
If anything I would call verizon and double check with them to confirm the above is true, and the phone qualifies for that 60 day unlock.
But to answer the question you should be able too. So long as your doing something like flashing the N975U with the N975U1 firmware.
Also flashing the U1 firmware will not have any impact with carrier/network unlocking. The term "unlocked firmware" infers the firmware is from the phone bought from Samsung. The U1 model from samsung is carrier unlocked and has no carrier bloat.
I know that the flashing a different rom doesn't really sim unlock the phone. But in this case the sim actually works for a breif amount of time untill a software notification which comes from the dialer app pops up and blocks it.
Isn't there a chance that flashing a bloat free snapdragon rom might actually do the trick?

If the phone is blacklisted it is either reported as lost/stolen, an unreturned insurance claim or was financed but never paid off fully..
Don't think xda allows this line of discussion on the forum because of the potential liability for theft of service/device.

officerstyles bypassing the blacklist that phone is presently on is borderline fraud and/or theft of service.
The blacklist exists for a reason and not a trivial one either. If the phone landed on that blacklist it did so for a very good reason (i.e. It was financed but not paid off, stolen/lost, an insurance claim that wasn't returned, etc).

SO, not to hijack this thread, but the topic/title fits what I am trying to do. My VZW Note 10 + is passed the 60 days, an is "unlocked". I flashed the unlocked U1 firmware, and have a ATT/Firstnet sim in it, and it is working fine. I can't seem the get it to change like my note 9. On my 10+, even with the ATT/Firstnet sim, it shows (VZW/VZW/VZW), where on my note 9 it shows (ATT/ATT/VZW).
Can I get my note 10+ to show ATT? I also had to change my voicemail number manually to work for ATT.
Thanks for any info and assistance.

Did you take the sim card out, flash it with U1 firmware (using the csc_*** and not the home_csc), perform a factory data reset after successful flashing and then put your sim card in (and allow the restart to apply settings change for the sim card)?
That's the process I followed before and it worked. If I skipped a step it ended up with things not working like they should be.
Ok. So flash U1, then let boot up. Should reset in software or in the recovery menu? Then after reset, go through setup with sim during boot?

*Flash u1 and let it boot up after successfully flashing
*Go through setup, skip all as many options you can until done
*Factory data reset the phone (not in the recovery menu)
*After phone is done with FDR set it back up again
*once setup is done put your sim card in and let it restart
This is pretty much what I did
