Streaming video issue - LG Optimus G Pro

Hello. So when watching live streams through an app called Twitch, I encounter massive screen tearing. If I set the video quality to any quality other than auto, I get what looks like a vertical sync bug, where the video doesn't line up with itself properly. I attached a screenshot for clarity. Even when I keep the video quality set to auto, the video will freak out and glitch every 30 seconds or so. I can always hear the audio smoothly, and the frames are still being updated within the fragmented video pieces I receive. Note that streaming video on any other app (Opera, YouTube) works perfectly fine, regardless of what resolution I set the videos to. I am running the final Beanstalk KitKat 4.4.4 release, and haven't had problems with Twitch videos on Lollipop, but Lollipop's instability encouraged me to roll back to KK. I've tried forcing GPU acceleration and disabling HW overlays to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

KS20 Video Recording/Saving Problem

Alright. When I use my KS20's camera for video recording, it seems to work relatively alright, storing on internal storage and using 3gp format @ "super fine" quality. The recording looks fine as I watch it actually record (the camera screen seems to be fluid as I pan around/following what I'm recording). BUT HOWEVER. When I go to -watch- the recorded video on my phone itself (tcmp and wmp) OR on my XP home PC, the video is choppy. The video automatically saves to internal memory...but gets a huge problem when I try and play it (records smooth, and plays back really horribly).
Every 4-7 seconds there is missed/stuttering frames which makes the video very irritating to watch.
This just generally loses the quality of the video due to the slow playback due to these frame issues.
If ANYONE can assist me with this, I would be eternally grateful. I've been trying to figure this out for a long time, and I hope someone can help me.
I will be watching this thread for any answers, and will reply with any further information.
Thank you!
-David Harrison.

[Q] video playback issues with latest OTA

Got 2.2 from the latest OTA and have been encountering some video issues. Just wondering if anyone else has them, and if there are fixes.
The major issue I have is videos lag and stutter. With 2.1, 720p videos recorded from the rear camera worked flawlessly. Now, those videos have short stuttering pauses every second. It makes it very hard to watch. 480p videos do not exhibit this problem.
Is it because the data is not being streamed off the SD card quick enough? Some evidence to that is that the thumbnails in the Gallery take noticeably longer to show up.
In 2.1, when I long press on a video in Gallery and select Details, it would show resolution and framerate. This info is not present in the current Gallery. Is there a fix for that?
I'm particularly interested in framerate, because in 2.1, I noticed that videos would be recorded at low fps when the lighting was dark. (some vids I have even dropped to 10 fps!) Perhaps HTC couldn't fix the low fps recording problem and instead just swept it under the run by not displaying the framerate info at all.
Videos played through Rockplayer worked fine in 2.1. Now, the audio is just loud static. Is this related to the codec change in 2.2?
When I come across a .3gp video file with Astro, clicking on it will come up with a "3gp file type missing" message. A workaround of longpress-> open will open it, though.

[Q] Video recording at around 15fps instead of 30 on any Non-Touchwiz roms.

This has happened with every Non-Touchwiz based roms I have flashed.
Currently using this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1989907
Is there any fix for this? I'm heading away on a trip in a few weeks and I'd rather not have flash Touchwiz just to record video at 30. I've always been a fan of stock android but this is the one bug I cannot stand. I've searched on here for weeks but never found my exact problem, hence this thread.
This happens in every camera app I can find, the image preview in both photo and video mode appears to stutter and lag. Obviously in the photo mode it doesn't matter, but the video maintains this lag and low fps into the video recording. It may even appear to be lower than 15, but I haven't measured this. The front camera appears to be unaffected however.
Regardless of the video/audio codec and resolution combination I use the problem still persists.
There's also a bug where instead of stereo audio, there is only audio in the right side. But that doesn't bother me as long as there is a fix for the fps issue.
Thanks.

cpu question

I have still been having issues with some of the playback thru my windows media center PVR and the 1080 mpeg 2. I still am getting the scrambled picture and then freezing. I have noticed that this does not occur if I have hardware accelleration turned off. I get a pretty darn good pic with just the software decoding, so I think I will leave it that way unless I want to watch a 1080P movie or something.
while trying to figure this problem out with playing the mpeg2 1080 live tv video I was researching with the "o" button. The one live tv channel that I have the most problems with is playing at 60fps while the other channels are playing at 25 to 30 fps. I think this might be the problem.
I also noticed that only two of the cpu are in use during video playback, cpu0 and cpu1. The other two are at 0%. This is the case with hardware accelleration off or on. Is this normal? Am I having hardware issues with my device. If anyone has some answers, I am much appreciated!

No problems here. I also have flash player archived version installed for playing online video through the web browser: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.81/install_flash_player_ics.apk.
Do you have GPU 2D Rendering Checked in Developer Options? If so, uncheck that because it causes video choppiness. Other than that, not sure what to tell you except factory reset your device.
