[Guide] Online Firmware Finder - Honor 6X Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello there,
Since a lot of users are using Huawei firmware finder app on desktop or phone and it's relatively slow I guess this link should be posted for quick search instead.
This is a Russian site, but you can translate it or not since it's really easy to navigate and it finds all results pretty fast.
You can even search Model number + carrier at the same time( for example BLN-AL10) and it will filter only those results with changelog and download link. It's always up-to-date and faster than desktop or mobile app of Huawei firmware finder.
Link: http://hwmt.ru/hwmtsite/база-найденных-прошивок/
PS: I'm not the owner of this site.

Do you know what is the difference between update and file-list columns ?
Also if you know the difference between the types..

RDF Seeker (Android Edition) Updated 1-18-2012

RDF SEEKER
Now with more android!
For details on the windows version of RDF Seeker see my XDA thread here
Hello everyone!

Supports downloading RDF files into a reading friendly format
for viewing in a text editor on your phone.

Hey, I am jumpinh over here from the Epic Touch side. You have a popular following over there. Anyways, I had a feature request.
Would it be hard to add a custom box to search for a device that is not thought of yet. Suppose there was a SPH-XXXX that was coming out or even a HTC device. It would be great if there was a custom field. I know how to search it in the browser but your app would add some convenience for that purpose. Especially since it automatically checks.
Thanks

Sorry for bringing back a thread from the dead, but there are many new devices out there with RDFs...
Galaxy Nexus - http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SPH-L700/
Galaxy S3 - http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SPH-L710/
Boost Galaxy S2 - http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SPH-D710BST/
Nexus S 4G - http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SPH-D720/
Transform Ultra - http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SPH-M930/
Conquer4G - http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SPH-D600/
Confirmed LG RDF for Viper - http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS840/LS840ZVG.rdf LG appears to just go up one letter/digit ie LS840ZVD, LS840ZVE, LS840VZF, etc
Here is a guess on a Motorola variant of the rdfs....
Photon Q - http://device.sprintpcs.com/Motorola/XT897/
I don't know what the Motorola releases are named, but its worth a shot...
Basically if you go to http://device.sprintpcs.com/*manufactuer*/*model*/ a 404 means bad request and a 403 is forbidden, meaning there is a folder there, but file listing is not available.
It would be nice if the search was variable, IE give the user the opportunity to input the Device Manufacturer and Model into the search string. Let's say the Galaxy Note 2 becomes rumored as SPH-L720, give a search where the user can select Samsung and enter a model number and your app search on it.
Also, a submission option would be great to get new model numbers to the developer for addition to the app.
Maybe make a free and paid version with the paid version being able to search for user entered strings. I'd pay a few bucks for that...

Love all of the suggestions. Some have been previously mentioned and I had begun to look into them (User specified model number) but due to life getting in the way (Read having a full time job) I have been unable to make any headway towards another update.
If and when I get some time to get to work on this app again, I intend on doing a full rewrite in order to implement many of the features you have specified here.
Thanks for letting me know that there is still an audience out there that finds this app useful.
Thanks for the reply, I'll keep digging and adding info here.
Here are two confirmed Motorola rdfs for the Photon Q
http://device.sprintpcs.com/Motorola/XT897-SPRINT/771Q6SPR89ASA36.rdf
http://device.sprintpcs.com/Motorola/XT897/771Q6SPRASANTIG33.rdf
You can also do the following to get the latest RDF (not sure how accurate this is)
http://device.sprintpcs.com/*Manufacturer*/*Model*/latest
http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SPH-D710/latest
http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SPH-L900/latest
http://device.sprintpcs.com/Motorola/XT897/latest
http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS840/latest
http://device.sprintpcs.com/HTC/APA9292KT/latest
Quick update.
I've started some basic work on a new version of RDF Seeker for Android.
The new version will include many of the features requested by users as well as some I have been thinking of since I first started RDF Seeker.
Some features which will be in the new version are:
1. User defined devices. No more hard coded devices!
2. Ability to view the latest RDF for a device.
3. Multiple device searching! No longer will you be forced to choose a single device to monitor. Monitor as many as you want!
One thing I would like to make people aware of is my intent make this app ad supported. Ad's will be minimal, and there will be a paid version ($1) which will remove them if you want. I know it's a bit of a bummer, but hey I have bills to pay ya know.
Do to the amount of changes needed to implement many of these features, I am going to have to re-imagine pretty much the whole GUI/Workflow so there still isn't an ETA.
Just wanted to let anyone out there who still uses this app know that work is being done!

weather app on View 20 (version 9.0.10.308) is broken

Version 9 of the weather app has several problems.
1) it cannot find lots and lots of cities. I live in Guildford, England and if I try to search for it I get a lot of other Guildford cities in Canada, Australia and New Zealand but not the one in England.
2) The search results depend on the language used on the phone. For example, if I switch the phone to French then the search does not find any Guildford.
3) Version 8 (and previous versions too, I think) had a button at the end of the search results with "search for more cities online". This button does not appear in version 9 so it is impossible to search for cities that do not appear in the basic search.
Can anyone help me to test and open a bug report with Huawei?

is this tested for my curved tv?
or are they all work the same on the same chipset?
because I have these too:
Update_V8-T658T01-LF1R814_sign.pkg
Update_V8-T658T01-LF1R549_sign.pkg
and on the same page you linked these is this:
V8-T658T01-LF1V551_PKG_USB_GMC
I installed the Update_V8-T658T01-LF1R549_sign.pkg and Update_V8-T658T01-LF1R814_sign.pkg and it works for now.
but two issues exists.
the setting are too simplfied and a lot of options are gone.
for example it no longer has a about page that I took a picture from but an about page like other android OSs that has no sw and firmware info expect saying android 8.0.0.
second, moving through menus gives an audio feedback ping that is very annoying.
this update removes a lot of options.
for example the option to change picture and audio quality (like setting for movie sport and so on) and contrast and local dimming setting and all that is GONE.
so this is WARNING to you all.
UPDATE:
ok I was wrong.
the setting for local dimming and contrast and picture and so on are there and I can mute the audio feedback ping for moving the selector.
they are available via the picture quality button which I didnt use very much so I thought they are gone.
the old android setting in gone and the new one is less extensive.
WARNING :wifi speed is very low (15Mb/s)

Install playstore on Galaxy Watch 4

Hi all
I am about to get the Galaxy Watch 4 in China (I work there now) and I think the Playstore won't be installed by default. I Googled and found that the apk for the Playstore for WearOS can be download. But I haven't found how to install it. It is my first WearOS since before I was using Tizen.
Can anyone help me and explain how to install the Playstore on WearOS please?
No idea what you exactly found... because I was not able to backup Playstore from GW4...
I have only found Samsung Apps inside GW4 Firmware...
I read about Restriction in China...
Maybe we could work together...
Maybe Samsung Apps offer better overview as Playstore...

Can somebody from China with GW 4 post CSC and Firmware Details please?
I have no luck to find something with SM-R860 and CHC... maybe in China other Device Model Name...

Hey thanks for he share I found a topic about ADB
Hello, did you have any luck installing the play store? I'm having the same issue here, with the CHC version there are only a few apps can be downloaded from the galaxy store and it has very limited google services, many app's mobile to wear connection does not work. It would be great if full gms and play store can be installed, or maybe there are any method to flash global rom etc? Thanks!
hi. any update on this?
Hi, guys. Same issue: I get the play market installed on my CHC version of gw4, the icon in apps appears, but doesn't launch. I mean it launches and rapidly shuts down. Any solution of how to globalize gw4 CHC?
I got the extracter Play Store from an International version. But same issue - gets installed, doesn't launch
Sausung watch 4 classic lte. CHC version. Same issue: gets installed, doesn't launch
Donwload apk from apkmirror website. It's a .apk file of the version of 28.0.3 and installed by adb.exe from PC.
I am thinking the right way would be be installing the bundle version with .apkm. But I am stucking by how to install apkm bundle to wear os. There is an app on phone for apkm but nothing for the watch apkm.
Does anyone have a clue?
