I actually just installed mine a couple of hours ago. The back plate is plastic but it fits perfectly. The battery isn't light. Noticeable weight difference.

I'd be very interest in your opinion. Hopefully a TPU cover of sorts will surface for it. How does the plastic backing feel? Slippery? Tacky?

Ahh. It's smooth, not grippy. Non textured. Color is like a spray paint black. It's a finger print & finger oil MAGNET. Like bad. But I personally don't care. If it gives me good battery life.

Honestly it's not that bad. The phone is still very much holdable, but you can definitely feel that bump. It probably adds roughly an 1/8th inch to the device.

No problem! The battery life seems promising!

6400Mah is right up my alley. A day or two without worry. Perfect. I'm a huge fan of the slimline profile of these phones and this seems to me a strong compromise. I just hope to find a TPU case or something of the like and my v20 life will be complete..lol

I've always used Android Pay but today I setup Samsung Pay and successfully used my Gear S2 to pay twice. Scanning the watch is so much cooler.

That's actually not too bad looking, thanks for the pics!

I would like to know how accurate the battery gauge is with this pack, the v10 was terrible at accurately gauging aftermarket battery packs.
Typically you would run out of juice and the phone would turn off but then if you pulled the battery and put it back in you'd get about 40 percent more meaning the battery reading wasn't accurate.
My note 3 with lollipop worked well with the 10000 mAh battery pack I just had to drain it once and recharge it. So I am wondering if this was a marshmallow issue or an LG issue.

I have to make sure I include this in my review but speaking for the ZeroLemon battery as a former V10 user, the v20 is doing much better at gauging the extended battery. I forgot to test mine (with a battery pull and reboot) when I ran my first cycle but the time it's lasting is much much longer. I feel as though it's accurate as it doesn't drain as quickly as the ZeroLemon for the V10. (Which didn't necessarily drain faster... It just seemed to because it wasn't reading correctly.)
I know this is the Hyperion thread but I figure if it can read the ZeroLemon it should be able to read the Hyperion also.

I have a diabolical idea for a nice Hyperion case and can't wait to try it tomorrow when it arrives. It has to do with my current awesome Rinke case and a razor blade to cut out a square. Lol. If it works well, I will post photos.

Extended capacity battery and cover

Has anyone been able to find a extended capacity battery and cover yet? I know I for one would be willing to put up with a thicker captivate and pay say $65 for a double capacity battery. How about you?
Thanks for voting, rumor has it this thread is going to be watched by R&D So please vote!
I vote higher capacity, but same size.
That will depend on what's possibly with current battery chemistries.
The Galaxy S has a 3500 mAh option out now. It looks pretty massive with the replacement cover though.

Holy crap that thing is huge... I think I would prefer to just carry a second normal sized battery around in the evnt that I need more juice.
Unless like others said, same form factor, higher output.. or maybe slightly thicker.. but not double the thickness.
Besides, the design of the back cover for the captivate would not facilitate a battery that size.
I'm waiting for the Seidio products.
again I wouldn't mind paying the price for an extended battery with a door that has a kick stand. Something like the HTC HD2.
ROFL! wow. when I saw the beginning I was all, whaat, that's not bad. not too big.. then I noticed it wasn't the battery you were talking about o_o.. that would be a veery 'uf!' phone. I wonder if they offer a full matte body kit lol

I thin i just got a flash back from the 90's when i saw that brick lol.
I guess some guys who like fat chicks might carry that fat ass phone around. I wouldn't be seen in public with that fatty.
I'll keep my sexy sleek Captivate and carry a spare battery.
hahaha, seriously. the second battery/case in the video had me rolling when i saw how big the phone got.
I could see a metal cover with a .5 mm bump in it to accommodate a larger battery couldn't harm the captivate looks too much. IMO.

larger battery but no bulk. It's 2010 people, they should be able to make 2000mah bat without bulk.
If the bulk needs to be added then the battery cover needs to keep the device looking pretty and not like an experiment done at home.

Personally, I want something like THIS
But instead of having the battery pack be so contained, you spread out the battery cells throughout the entire backside of the phone. You could have as large a battery capacity wise, but you wouldn't add as much thickness.
That said I know very little of battery technology, so I don't know if what I want is even possible.

Video Review: Mugen Power 3200 mah Extended Battery!!!

Hi Guys,
Got my hands on the Mugen Power 3200 mah extended battery, it is FANTASTIC. The replacement cover does a great job at keeping the same texture of the original back cover. It adds some thickness but still feels natural and comfortable in your hand. Performance wise, it is great as well, some users could get 2+ days out of it easily. Full review below:
sorry, but these extended battery look ugly! and only half a day extra battery life, no way worth it!

I consider myself a very heavy user (as bad as that may seem) so whilst out of my house, apart from when I'm driving, I'll be on my phone. Half a day of added battery is great for me and works fine, I'm sure a medium user would get 2 days easily and a light user close to 3 days.
It depends what kind of user you are, light users probably wouldn't pick one up unless they were going out camping for a weekend or something.

Thanks for posting the review. I think it'll be a very valuable accessory for travelling purposes. Of course the thickness of the phone increases after installing the extended battery, but are you aware of any car mounts that will work with a SGS 2 with the Mugen battery?

Hi, you're very welcome.
I'm pretty sure that something similar to this should do the job:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/trailblazer-advanced-pro-universal-car-charger-and-holder-p27266.htm
Universal car holders should fit the Galaxy S2 with the Mugen as they've been around for awhile now, when phones used to be much bulkier.

Which is the size and weight?
I mention in the review - size is approximately double the thickness (perhaps very slightly more), I haven't actually weighed it, but noticeably heavier with it. Will update the review with more details when I have the battery usage screenshots for it.
Very nice review, almost pushed me to buying one to be honest.

Mugen Extended Battery (Lots of Pics)

Hey guys,
Just got the mugen extended battery in the mail. Their regular shipping somehow took longer than 3 weeks and I still have not received the item, so I asked them to reship using FedEx. Guess what, it took 2 days to get to Richmond Hill, Canada, which is just north of Toronto.
Anyways, just though I'd upload some high quality pics with measurements so if any of you guys are planning on buying it, you guys have a sense of how things ll look when you get it.
Feel free to update this with your own pictures.
Update 1: More pictures of battery on phone. Post #10
________________________________________________________________________________
After using this for some times, I believe I can give a rather full rounded review of this case
Make and Looks:
After looking at the pics below, it is definitely safe to conclude that if you cannot stand additional bulk to the galaxy nexus, this extended is definitely not a recommended, as it does double the thickness of the phone. Also, this battery is not for those who are seriously concious of the way their phones look, as this is, to be honest, not the best looking extended battery pack out there.
HOWEVER, if you are like me, and enjoy funtion over form, it would be my pleasure to say that this battery is definitely recommended. The back casing of the Mugen Power battery mimicks the back of the galaxy nexus to provide users with enough grip so as to reduce the slipperiness and possibilities of drops. Also, the battery which is rated at 4000mah does add some weight to the phone, which to me is a great addition as it just feels that the phone is more secure in my hands with the added weight. The battery, when installed on the phone, depicts the resemblence of a humpback whale, which not to say is ugly in anyway, it is simply Unique. The kickstand is a bit flimsy, but that is just an additional use of the new backing to watching movies and videos, so can't complain there.Lastly, the camera holes are perfectly cut out for the 5MP camera, it does not affect picture quality in anyway, but does take away from the original good looks of the phone.
Usage
To be honest, the GNEX isn't among the top performing android handsets in the battery department. Getting through a full day with my full usage has always been a problem, no matter what brightness setting I set. Battery times for me has always been 13-16 hours with 3-4 hours standby, and that is already after using franco kernel and aokp.
Now, with the Mugen Power battery, I can say this: I have a GMAXXXXXXXXXX. The battery after 3 - 5 charge cycles is AMAZING! Unlike other cheap extended batteries, I would say that mugen lived up to their name, as this battery is more than what they described as double my battery life. With it, I get by two days with super super super heavy usage including a ton a gaming, videos, and auto-sync and wifi on 24/7. That is around 2 days 3 hours with 7-9 hours screen on with the screen at around 50% brightness!!
Would I recommend?
Yes, I would definitely recommend this extended battery to anyone out there. If the price of said Mugen Battery is within your acceptable budget limit, there is no other battery that compares to what Mugen is delivering. And as the old saying goes, "You get what you payed for".
Thanks for this, please post back your results

Yes it's because of the cut. I could probably cut a little more to make it more streamlined.
The seidio with NFC has a soft touch battery cover. It matches the case and feels great in the hand.

ZeroLemon LG Nexus 5 ZeroShock Rugged Black Battery Case + 3500mAh Battery Review

Hello everyone! First and foremost I would like to thank Zerolemon for sending me the product up for review. As the title say, it's a rugged black battery case with a 3500mAh Battery pack.
This is an honest review to help Zerolemon improve future products, but also give an idea to others of what I think about the product.
Everything pretty much works as expected and I can't really complain, all the buttons work like a charm and the ports are easy to use when needed.
Here are what I think are PROS and CONS about the ZeroLemon for LG Nexus 5.
PROS:
* It feels sturdy, I doesn't feel like it's an issue and it's actually rather comfortable to hold.
* Takes a beating like a tank (I can almost imagine running over it with my car, and it would still be in working condition).
* The phone lasts much longer! Battery won't be an issue for me anymore, but I wish the mAh was higher so I could charge it less.
CONS:
* Too big (that's what she said)! No but really, I wouldn't want to walk around with something sticking out of my pocket (I have the Zerolemon for the LG G4 that I purchased and it doesn't even stick out as much).
* I hate the plugs for the ports (personal opinion)! They tend to get bad as time passes as I had the Zerolemon for the Samsung Galaxy S5 with similar plugs for the ports. It was just a real headache after a few months.
If there are any questions that you have, then please feel free to ask!
Please support Zerolemon so that they can keep making more options for other phones as most of their products are worth the money, you won't be disappointed!

I'm not sure, It depends on how many apps you have running in the background and how often/long you use the phone. It does help through out the day though if you're running low on battery.
the question is where to buy said battery case. I have a feeling that Zerolemon discontinued this product and all you can find are old leftovers. It pops on Amazon once in a while
