WARNING :
This rom concerns LG G4 (H815/International) version only
You will void your warranty after flashing this rom
I'am not responsible of any damage caused to your device after flashing this rom
Some reading..
Keep it Simple… keep it SimpleGX !
SimpleGX is only looking for simplicity and stability, trying to aim for best battery life, smoothness and performance experience, than a pure stock rom.
It has been mostly designed for people who like to "flash-and-play" (you flash and you can directly enjoy, without doing much customizing to enjoy best battery life and smoothness experience), that is how I always liked things.
Choice is large in H815 roms, but I wans't personally enough satisfied after testing all of them, so I decided to make mine for my personal use first, and share it to the community.
Please keep in mind that I did this rom for my usage first. Don't complain if it does not have any app you need.
Also, keep in mind I still dont qualify myself as of a real developer, but just a basic person with some android/linux knowledge already.
As always, I’m enjoying sharing my contribution here on XDA for free, which taking me a lot of (my free) time to test before releasing (my device has already been a lot tortured to release this rom) so, if you can offer me a little beer, it will be really appreciated!

★ PREREQUISITE ★ :
An unlocked Bootloader
A Marshmallow LG firmware (H815-20X - X means A/B/C/D/E/F/G/H/I/L, etc)
A custom recovery (TWRP recommanded), to flash the rom
★ FAQ ★ :
Can I flash this ROM into H811 ?
No. Yet I don't want to maintain 2 versions as I don't have H811 device. Also, I'm not a fan of blind releases on a device I don't own, althought I did it for my kernel which always have H811 compatibility. You will have to flash any other H811 roms/firmwares and then flash my H811 kernel version.
Please add this LG app !
If your app is not there after flashing, it's probably because I intentionally removed it. Don't forget that this ROM has been designed first for my own usage. Please check THIS post on how to add it (experimental and for advised users only).
Need more battery ?
If you don't mind sacrifying a bit performances, then you can try to turn off ZRAM (you will find the script into my kernel thread in Add-ons section). You will benefit a bit better battery life (from my months experience).

oh , a fully stock debloated right ? very nice and handy for testing too.
with this rom we don't need to carefully test and debloat and spend a couple of hours for that.
i guess a hotplug to offline the cpus is something we won't see since it's fully stock right ? and it's 20g and not k cause of the latest (and too late and slow) v20g SEA ? maybe change title to just v20 since G will change according to the latest kdz, you won't only update to the SEA firmware ?

Yes, I was aware of this, but security patch is much more recent than a 20k (UK firmware). For me, security is more important :good: same case with ramdisk of the kernel, it's more recent also.
Too bad that LG don't provide any "changelist" like Samsung does, it was very useful to see how much changements between each firmwares, so we can see faster which one is "better"

As precised into first post, it's only for H815 for now, not sure if I'll release one for H811.
Anyway, I included a H815 detection during flashing procedure so it won't flash on H811 devices (to be safe) :good:
For now, only my kernel is supported for H811, but you'll need to be on any H811 rom already :good:
*edit*: thank you for the first donation of this rom! appreciated cheers'

Here we go.
Copying over to internal memory, planning on flashing here in a second. Quick question first though. I am coming from AOSP (previously was running Cloudy G2 2.2), if I flash the Lollipop radios, am I good to go?
Answer, no. Cloudy and aosp required jelly bean. To get to this zvg stock based ROM. You can go this route. Download the ROM, the zvg radio, and the lollipop auto-rec.
Then run auto-rec for lollipop. TWRP it. Restart in recovery. Wipe as you should. Flash zvg radio, flash ROM. Reboot.
You should be working then.
Thank you. Starting on that now, will report with some initial observations.
question.
When im already sim unlocked and used to upgrade roms i never lost the unlock do u think this will work the same way ?
Also does this have proper display for 2G 3G ? or is it sprint default which just shows GSM ?
Hey can you add addaway host like cloudy..just a suggestion..will try and report back..

You are speaking of the Advanced Power Menu??? correct. I noticed it not being there also. I was just going to see if I can't work it in. But Agimax will probably have it done before I could shake my fist at it.

The reason you don't have root is probably because you wiped data after flashing the ROM, this ROM contains systemless root.
You have two solutions, either flash SuperSU or flash the ROM.zip again.

The phone should cool off after it rests, due to the fact that the initial boot will be hot due to the fact that this ROM is DeOdexed and stock ROM is Odexed. I would recommend letting the ROM settle in for a day or two.
I'll look into the GraceUX but no ETAs as it's dependent on whether I have time to look into it.
I appreciate your feedback and am glad you are enjoying the ROM so far.

nope ! This is an idea of mine.
Freedom is not imperium,
It's pure stock plus anything people want. Everything with an aroma installer to give everyone choices of everything.
Kernel is also stock uncompiled - translated - added some imperium branches - compiled (translated back to the language the hardware "understands") and lastly to avoid any bugs compiled to boot.img
i wanna inform everyone about my plans.
Further more, ok customisation is one thing and the aroma installer will have everything included,
i will remove gapps from being pre-installed.
It's annoying to clean flash a rom and wait one hour for updates. Plus that LG will never update. So i don't see any reason on Gapps being pre-installed.
You will all flash seperately Gapps just like you do on AOSP/Lineage Builds to keep your phones always up-to-date.
~If my plan is wrong , feel free to correct me~
First of all it is your rom, so its your choice. In my opinion you have to decide between stock based rom or custom rom. To many compromisses makes the system buggy and laggy as many examples from the past show. Just make a fine, clean and fast rom (just my opinion).

I will stick to stock as a base cause the biggest feat of g4 is the camera. When and if we get Android 7 LG drivers , I'm changing to lineage based for sure.

ill add LG gallery for h815 too. tomorrow will be there.
The thing is that h811 allowed me to keep more bloat. H815 is TOO bloated with crap from LG. You will notice that in the builds size. Although H811 build is smaller , it has more apps. Anyway , ill see what i can do. It was in my plans anyway.

Some reading..
Welcome to SimpleGX kernel ! a kernel that aims for simplicity, stability, better performance, smoothness and battery life over a pure stock kernel.
This kernel is designed for people who are (like me) bored to flash kernels which integrate tons of unneeded things.
Main goals of it is to stay MUCH closer to stock than every kernels shared here and almost not to be a “custom kernel” on its own. So beware, no exotic stuffs here !
No need for any third app or whatever to control this kernel. Just "flash-n-joy" ! this is how I always liked thing.
Keep in mind that this kernel has been designed for my daily use first.
I would like to personally thanks @Lord Boeffla for his precious help to build my first OP5 kernel ! without him, this kernel won’t be there ! so please consider it.
As always, I'm enjoying sharing my contribution here on XDA for free, which taking me a lot of (my free) time to test before releasing. So, if you can offer me a little beer, it will be really appreciated!
This kernel must be only flashed over an official OnePlus 5 LineageOS (LOS) ROM !
Feel free to include my kernel to your ROMs / threads but please don't forget to inform/ask first via PM and credit me properly in your original thread. It's always appreciated.

well, I can't use this kernel with LOS.

I can't confirm myself if my LOS version is working since I will stick to OOS for now (and no plan to go for LOS one day), but @dr.zook tested my beta3 recently and confirmed working perfectly into official LOS. All I did is just removing "-beta3" from local version, so it should be weird that it's not working anymore.

What magisk version did you use? Official 13.3 or one of the beta/unofficial versions?
Maybe try to first boot on stock kernel and see if you can get it to boot.
As your device is encrypted it MAY be the cause of the issue, too. I have no experience with encrypted devices, I decrypted my device on day one to have all the options...

You're right, but I so much want the customization aosip/rr/aicp and whatnot brings. If the op camera app works on this, I think I'll switch.
I tried a nearly gappless setup with microg magisk module and just the playstore but I could not get it to full functionality on first try. Didn't have the time to dig into the problem.
But that's the way I want it to be. At least for a while ?

It is 100% a problem of the ROM. I'm now on AOSPA again and the kernel works there.
I used Magisk 13.6
Everything boots fine on LineageOS but when I add the kernel the whole system is screwy

Problem is that I kept old OOS flashing instructions (so i'ts my mistake also).
If you may sum-up exactly the correct steps one by one which were working for you, I will add it into first post :highfive::good:
I have to go to the Hospital this whole day, will edit once I'll come back home (I hope! haha)
Cheers'

OK, here's what I did and how my device is set up.
I use twrp 3.1.1.1 official and I am unencrypted.
I wiped cache/dalvik(art), system and data without data/media.
Then I flashed latest aosip and 4.5.10 firmware package.
Then, if wanted, your favorite gapps package.
Then SimpleGX kernel and magisk 13.3 stable.
Last step is only for the unencrypted devices, flashing the no_verity_op5.zip
That's pretty much it.

It should work fine.
Do a nandroid backup before you flash, just to be safe.

Yeah, that would be great. Here's my rom with su and busybox already installed:*https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=889764386195927939
And you can create Odin tar.md5 files that get "Secure Check Failed", when trying to flash with Odin?
