Doesn't work on non-motorola I think, just tested and didn't.. It uses mp4's instead of a series of images.......

There is an app in the play store called "Motorola Boot Services" that contains this but as noted won't work with many Roms.

@Mazer.one...Very nice animation...I made about 50 for the Acer A500 and started a thread there which grew rapidly as people weighed in with their contributions...I looked inside Motorola's stock animation (not the latest one they have just uploaded, the one with the world spinning) and saw that in contrast to most Android animations where multiple frames of jpg's or png's are used, they have used mp4 files... most odd I thought.

i did not use an app or program to create cwm flashable.zip,
i just used winrar for compress/decompress, edit script and add files that i wanted to flash.

I realize that this is an old thread and apologize for bumping it back to the top. But I tried loading the bootanimation and it did not work for me. So I am sure I am loading it incorrectly.
Is this zip file flashed via TWRP/CWM, or, fastboot flashed, or just added to the /system/media folder and the original renamed?
I really like these and would like to use them on my XT1045. Thanks
DISREGARD - Silly me, it seems every time I ask for assistance I always find the answer. There is a zip file within this zip file. I knew I should have looked earlier. LOL

Installation
This is a flashable zip, works in custom recovery like Philz, TWRP
or you can do this manually, just extract logo.bin where the fastboot and adb files are
connect the phone to the computer via micro usb, open the folder where the logo.bin file and fastboot/adb files are
open the command prompt in that directory and use the following commands
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot reboot

Hmm it might have been done already... All it is, is the Google logo in white on a black bg.. I think its standard for Nexus devices.. Ive just never seen it resized for moto g...

but why do you want a google bootlogo on a moto device? plus the boot animation has the white background with the globe and water ripple effect.

True ... I am using quarx cm it uses the android l boot animation... I tried to flash the stock moto boot animation on this but results in black screen... No animation
