thanks!! for Lineage 14.1 kernel R7.2N is correct and is the last?

I just wanna ask. Whats more efficient, 2 cores on high freq or 4 cores online? Is it possible to have an option to only open 2 little cores and 2 big? Big thanks for your work.

i think the more efficient is using one of the integrated hotplug that should play with bigs

Uhm i think that doesnt answer my question. I hope there would be differrent options between big and little. I am already using its hotplug anyway.

@genesixxbf3: is it possible to integrate a priority of wifis with different bands but same SSID?
I have several APs wich broadcasting 2,4 Ghz wifi & 5ghz wifi at the same SSID.
On AOSP/Linage based roms when conneted to the wifi it always takes the 5ghz band.
With stock rom it always uses the 2,4 Ghz band.
This is a known issue of LG based roms. On older AOSP roms there was a setting under wifi to prefer 5ghz.
this is gone on MM & N now but it works as it should.
I often want to go with stock rom because of camera (...) but cant because of this issue.
Can you please take a quick look into kernel if it maybe supports it and just need a wpa_supplicant change in rom?
Would be nice to hear your thoughts as a kernel developer.
thx a lot

/system/etc/wifi
but genesix is right. thats something that comes from the java code from LG. we can't change the behavior of the wifi reciever by modifying a .conf setting file.
to change a setting and see that setting actually take action there must be a code behind to recieve that setting.
so every phone is different, don't google search and use another phone settings.

Quick question. Does your kernel have loop device support?

I think it is a necessary feature because it extends the life of the display. I got my gnex from someone who used only stock rom and at the statusbar and navbar the screen is burn (not much but it can be seen). So thats why I think it is a very usefull feature

Great ROM as usual Des-Franco, simplicity is better, settings are well laid out and not overly complicated. Only thing though, this could just be me, but I am getting quicker battery drain, this morning I took the phone off the charger and within 10mins the battery percentage dropped by 3%. It's now been mostly off for the past 2 hours and the battery is at 80%. I did do a clean install, I used cpu spy and yes the phone is going into deep sleep.
Any ideas? I just flashed ASKP kernel and will report back on whether or not it slowed the battery drain.
I did not do any restores or anything with Titanium backup nor did I install any big amount of applications (whatsapp, cpu spy, tasker, es file explorer, just the basics as with any other ROM) but other ROMs did not drain like this even stock 4.3
Just attaching a log file so if anyone knows what is causing the battery drain, I know nothing about these. I basically started the log and left the phone alone.
UPDATE: Looks like ASKP did the trick, the battery drain has settled down now.

Woohoo! Installed it this morning as soon as I saw it. I hadn't even gotten out of bed. Will be using it every day.
Is the Faux Sound included or just supported? Do I need to install anything? First time I've ever looked into that.
Already modified the CPU settings to run all four cores all the time, and underclocked a little.

As for the faux sound. You need to buy the premium app for flux sound by faux123 from play store

LMAO I'm already at work. I haven't spent any time with AOSP for a while, I'll dive in again soon.
Dammit, I just finished switching back to stock, now this comes out. Time for yet another nandroid...
Edit: So I installed this with the latest PAC nightly and when I go into recovery I'm not able to see any of my storage, I can only browse through root folders, no files show up at all, I go to Mount and there's nothing listed...

I guess you mean the XZ-Kernel
Is there any way to set the doubletap speed?
Like @SafiXS said, we don't want the phone wake in pocket or bag so I guess it is better to set the doubletap sensitivity.
This DoubleTap2Wake is awesome, reduce the use of power button to keep it living longer
Glad you guys like it . I meant xz kernel. No methods to adjust sensitivity as far as I know

Questions & Answers
Q: How do I set or change the kernel settings?
A: Use an app like Trickster to control the kernel settings.
Q: Why do some developers use an install script to set the kernel features and others use a control app?
A: To each his own. I personally like the flexibility of a control app so I can change settings on the fly and monitor the cpu frequencies/temperature etc. in lieu of changing the script and rebooting each time.
Q: Will you add this feature?
A: Maybe if you provide me with a good reason and research backing up why it's good to add. I like to keep my kernels somewhat clean to maintain optimization on battery and performance without going overboard.
Okay might have to start from scratch. Tried simply to merge in latest changes that bring it up to cm12 and won't boot. So I'll change my tactic tomorrow and will have something soon. FYI - my cm11 version works, just borks data.

Looking forward to giving this a run !! I can test if you need someine
Thanks for giving this a shot. I'm looking forward most to fast charge, because although Santod's beta ROM is 99% greatness, it seems to cause the phone to charge glacially slow for some reason. I miss DT2W also but the slow charging is killing me.
Very excited to get this and santod's beta running. You guys are awesome!
Will you post links on how to install a kernel? That is one thing I've never done before... I don't think... >.>

Assuming your device is rooted, probably the easiest way is with an app called Flashify in the Play Store.
Will work on sprint?

DT2W is a MUST!!! Thank you for attempting the first kernel for Lollipop with these crucial features!!!!
Excited to see where this goes
OKAY - download links are live. Test it out, let me know what doesn't work. Seems wake gestures aren't working properly...

These are set up to flash in recovery the same way you do a ROM.

I added a link to a sprint one...as I don't have the device it is up to you guys to test, and if its good, I will post there...or you can send them here.

I will be more than happy to test!
Quick update...this seems better than the one I just posted. Links are redone.
Now that everything seems to be at least going okay...I will start by fixing the hiccups with the wake gestures and then add things back in. Camera seems messed up, but I had to revert a large commit by CM for camera....that caused bootloops...so I might have to hit @santod040 up for what he has in his build.

Maybe get a hold of the maker of the AGK kernel in the One Android Development thread. I'm running his AOSP kernel right now without issue.
Bootloop on Sprint kernel
Just curious if there was progress on this!! If it has the same features as the aosp 4.4.4 kernal then I'm stoked

Life's a little busy for me at the moment and with santod having released his, I figured progress on this is not crucial. I'm not abandoning it, just lie is taking prescience right now.

Clean Build
Anybody want to try a clean build? I am starting from scratch and my testers are MIA...lol. Just an FYI - nothing added for features, just need to know a base point. Should I test this on my own...yes...but I really don't have the time to flash stuff lately. But working on a build in the background while the wife uses the computer seems to be working out for me lol.

Hey i'm. Trying your kernel out but please address battery's drain and I can't seem to set the clock speed in kernel auditor it always reverts back

About battery's drain...Since I haven't modify the code too much, I should be almost the same as the stock kernel.
About freq reverting, seems like there is something locked your freq. For example, have you opened the power saving feature or something like that?

No this issue is also prevalent in 32gb mi5 on the other 2 kernels also

I found ElementalX governor had/caused problems when I used it on my Kernel. The root of the issue causing speeds to revert was the CPU tables starting at line #46 weren't quite right.

Thx, dude. Can't fully test the kernel since I don't have a actual phone and some one ask me to do this kernel. By the way, your way to overclock the kernel is quite unstable. No not just cherry-pick the commit from flar2 or use freq & volt table from snapdragon 821

Well, the freq in freq table acts as CPUFREQ_RELATION_H. So I don't think there is a serious problem in ElementalX governor
When will we get 821 speeds @Codestory
Is possible that WiFi strength crabs m became better with custom kernel? Or the mi5 really have WiFi hardware issues?
Thanks for your share m8. this aims to be good!!

"- OC CPU and GPU by using freq & volt tables from Snapdragon 821 ( depend on yours opinions)"
So, except for gpu and cpu OC, the only difference with snap821 are the volt tables? Could you explain more @coderstory ? Thank you
Any way tô build a Kernel for MIUI base?

I think he stopped doing the development of the kernel, nothing new at all... Better wait for harry or simply use the original kernel in CM13
