Help : Power Supply adaptator alternative - Shield Android TV Accessories

Hello. I'm not new in here but it's my first post.
Somehow I have lost my power supply and I am from Tunisia. So it's impossible to find one in here.
Can someone help me to create a DIY nvidia shield android tv power supply. Which pin go with which.
I know that the powe supply is a 19V 2.1A. Where the + and the GND goes.
Please help.

Any body?

Just mesure voltage on the male plug.

USB Cardreader Hub

I just ran across this USB Card Reader/Hub for the Samsung Tab. The device has three USB ports and a card reader. It even has a plug for a 5V power supply.

Has anyone tried this thing? Does it perform as advertised? If it does, it may be the perfect accessory, especially when teamed with a power supply. On that subject, I wonder where one might find a compatible power supply that would provide the right amperage so it would work with the Tab.

^I would like to know also. If it works like it says, that would be the best thing ever!
I asked the company posting the device on eBay if they offered a power supply that would supply 2 amps. They said no.
Here is a question for some of the smart guys on this forum. Could the Tab be powered by a male to male USB cable plugged into the standard Samsung 110 V power plug and then in to the hub? The next question is if everything could be powered using a USB car adaptor that puts out 2 A.
Bob
Bump! Does anyone have experience with this device. If so, please post. Also, if anyone can answer the questions about the the power supply or USB charging from a car outlet, that information would be greatly appreciated.
Bob
I think you are misunderstanding the use of the power supply. I'm pretty sure the power supply doesn't charge the tab. It only powers the USB appliances (mainly for HDDs). An active USB-hub if you wish.

I am sure you are right. I wonder if the the Tab could be charged if a male to male USB cable was plugged into one of the USB ports and then to the stock Samsung plug?
I have that actually. I just have used it for an sd card though. Anyone want me to experiment something with it?

Great, you are just the guy I have been looking for. If you can come up with a male to male USB cable, plug one end into the device and the other into your Samsung charger puck. I am curious if the Tab will charge using this method.

Well, that depends on the hub. How it is designed. It may block current from flowing into the USB ports.
I have to check mine when I get home...
Mind you, USB current is limited to 0.5A and that isn't enough to charge the Tab and use it at the same time.
But, let me see if I understand what you're trying to do: Connect the 110V adapter to one of the USB ports. Power/charge the Tab through a second port.
As to your earlier question, about a vehicle equipped USB port... Same answer. It depends on how the hub is designed. Since I have Sync in my Ford I have a USB port and I can check that as well. I know the Tab works connected to it... just not a USB hub.
how's the test
so... any result from your test? can it charge the tab?

I can't find my male/male USB cable. (I live in Alabama, and that sort of thing is against the law. )

Upgrade the Dock

Hello guys.
The 30-pin port is less to connect the charging cable and other usb devices. The problem is, there exist no dock with both functions - charging and connecting usb devices on same time.
It is possible to produce a box with usb, 30pin and hdmi exit without extra charging device ? Which pin is for which function ?
Thanks for help.
Greeting.
What you are asking is probably too specific for anyone to produce (there would be no volume demand) and it also has some technical difficulties. The tablet does not put out HDMI as such, but MHL and this needs a converter chip which is in the adaptors. It is the converter chip that needs the power supply to be connected to the adaptor. This is not specific to the Note, but any device with MHL output.

Firestick power

Not sure if this is a question for this forum but feel there will be a fair few experts on here who may know the answer.
Will a 4K firestick work by plugging it directly into a 2.1a 5v wall socket outlet with USB port?
Looking to buy a LAP 1-Gang SP 13A Switched Socket + 2.1A 2-Outlet USB From Screwfix
From what I’ve read, people have been powering their firesticks on TV USB ports with some success. Some have reported that less than 1 amp power on older or smaller TV’s would under power it. My concern with the wall socket may be too much power?

you will be fine using that. The amp rating is for the load it can handle. for example if you put a hub on it, you could power 4 devices that require .5 amps each. I believe the firestick 4k requires 1.5 amps (it may work on less but could cause issues)
Great. I was concerned the socket would be too much for it and perhaps overheat it or something and I plan on not using the plug Firestick plug (brick) which is fused
All Fire TV Sticks have a power adapter capable of delivering 1 amp of electricity. Of course, that doesn't imply a Fire TV Stick needs that much power to function, but it can theoretically draw that much power from the supplied power adapter.
So you may take advantage of that. Because if you put a hub on it, you can power four devices that each require 0.5 amp. In addition, this firestick needs a 1.5 amp power supply.

ACC wire -> 12v to 5v converter -> USB hub possible?

Hi,
I'd like to connected a powered USB hub to my HU.
But I'm not sure where to get the power from.
What is in my mind is:
ACC wire (from HU) -> 12v to 5v converter -> USB hub
Is this setup possible? Or woud it lead into problems?
If this is ok, where should I get ground from?
other question: are there alternative wires to get 12v from, when key is inserted? Or where do you guys get power for the usb hub from?
The real question here is, if the current from the 12v ign is enough to power the hub and peripherals.
I'd rather go via the cig-lighter, as it is designed to deliver some juice. (I connected a quick charge 2.0 hub this way and it delivers proper qc2.0 power)
By curiosity, why do you want an aditional USB, when you can plug a USB right into the HU.
I use the ANT plug as the REM Power amp.
If you want at more power you can add a relay.

I want to install something like this into my car, to have the flexibility inserting different kind if sticks or sd cards:
https://www.amazon.de/DeLock-Tisch-Hub-Port-Slot-Reader/dp/B0734LVQXW/ref=sr_1_8?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&keywords=amazon+in+desk+hub&qid=1569300536&sr=8-8
If you're not looking to rapid charge a phone and only want to read media then the ACC wire has more than enough current capacity. Say you use a 2.4A converter just for the buck converter and lower power dissipation. 2.4A X 5V is 12W so on the 12V side it should draw 1A (in a perfect world). But since you don't want to use the hub to charge your phone all you need to do is plug the blue USB in your HU and leave the white one unplugged that should be enough current to read a USB drive or power the card reader.

Fire TV Stick 4k - Power cycle when connecting AuviPal OTG cable

Hello community
I searched the forum, but did not find a thread about this topic:
My Fire TV Stick 4K goes into reboot/restart loop after the white "smile" screen when connecting an OTG+Power cable. As soon as I remove the OTG cable, everything works fine.
Any help you can spare, please?

That's the problem on power when using OTG + Power cable is dropping a voltage and current
You can use variable power supply (Set voltage to 5 - 5.1v and current to 2.5 - 3A) and connect to female USB 2.0 connector to using OTG + Power cable. You can buy a variable power supply in Amazon.
