he's on r800i your on Verizon also maybe software difference never sore the point of 58 or 62 to much trouble for little reward, really only need to change basebands.

Good question. I'm not sure of the answer.
The forum is not a online database that you can query whenever you are too lazy to do a full search.

General consensus is vendor.img contains hardware drivers.
logically speaking it would make more sense for Carrier specific data to reside in radio and modem img.
