Car diagnostic API for Connected Car remote health monitoring - Connected Car

Hey everyone, in the last couple of months we've build an API for doing Car Diagnostics with OBD error codes. Currently we're in the beta phase and giving out free accounts. These account will stay free, so there are no strings attached. Most important for us is your feedback on the current API; feature-requests are also very welcome. Information on how to get access to the API can be found on our documentation site on github Car-Diagnostic-API
Cheers, A

Bluetooth API?

Hey,
i want to start programming an app for my HD2 which should connect one of my bluetooth devices by starting it. I only know a bit about programming under desktop-windows. Where do I find a reference for the programmers api on WM6.5 / where can i look for the commands i need?
//Edit: The functions i found in the MSDN are for connecting - communicating - closing in this way, but i only want to connect a profile (serialport for tmc) and end.
Hope you can help. Thanks.

Found the 32Feet.net SDK but still i can't get the procedures i need.
Nobody with information on programming bluetooth apps?
Somebody must have down something similiar in the past or?
These?:

http://www.mobile-soft-dev.blogspot.com/2010/03/c-wrapper-for-nearby-bluetooth-devices.html
Thanks for the links. Ok that is how to enumerate the devices and i could do a connection over winsock, but still i can't find information on not really do a connection but only pair the bt device so other applications can use it afterwards. Damn
(More Information: App should be used on WIDCOMM stack to connect tmc and start navigation after that to get rid of the annoying selector window which disappears to quick)

[Q] visual c# GPS application using OGL library

Hi!
I am triing to make a Windows Mobile gps application that is able to determine the current position and writes it on a form. Iam using the OGL open source GPS library.
My device is a trimble geo xh 2005. When i deploy my project on it, and try to connect to the receiver it keeps throwing an error: "An error has occured connecting to the receiver(error code5)" .
I've attached my project.
Maybe my gps setting are incorrect, i dont know. Just in case: GPS software port: 3; GPS hardware port:8 Baud rate: 9600 and Manage GPS automatically checkbox is set.
The above error appears giving port 3 in the application. If i choose port 8 it tells me that the port is already in use.
I cant figure out what am i doing wrong:-(
The GPS settings or something in the code?
Any help would be appreciated!
Never mind!
I have solved it, I was using the wrong port as i suspected

[Q] [REQ] Bluetooth MAP Protocol for Ford Sync

Is there any way that Bluetooth MAP profiles can be enabled for the Evo? I'm almost certain the changes would have to be at the kernel level... specifically, making additions to the Bluetooth stack.
Current Bluetooth Stack: Chipset: Broadcom BCM4329-B1
Current Bluetooth Version: Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
Current Bluetooth Stack: Broadcom BTL-A
Currently supported profiles: A2DP, AVRCP, FTP, HFP, HSP, OPP, and PBAP.
This MAP profile would allow the EVO to send SMS and Email message information over Bluetooth to devices that also support MAP... namely Ford Sync.
I have found a few links that may provide leads:
google-summer-of-code-2010 BlueZ Bluetooth Stack for Nexus One: here
XDA forum for the G1 detailing a customer service rep attempting to explain AT commands: here
I know most Motorola phones also support MAP profiles, so the source for their kernels may be a good place to start.
I will continue looking for leads and picking through some source code... but I am pretty new to Android development, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Good luck, I have been posting all over the place trying to get an answer to this for my Incredible. So far, no one seems to be able to do it

Apparently some of the Motorola Droid models work with SYNC. I'd love to find a ROM that provides MAP. Alternatively, pointers to info on what Moto did to add this support would be appreciated.
any luck with this. I am in even more of a bind, being i am in canada, and the Droid Series of phones are not supported here.
Id really like to find an android phone that works in canada and is fully compatible with Sync
did anyone see this?

Mango added bluetooth compatibility

In the Mango previews I read that there was to be added bluetooth compatibility to help with the numerous issues that people have had with connecting with hands free devices.
See this thread if you are unaware of the problem.
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...-problem/b53c64ce-30ee-4734-9dab-28ce0d561132
My question is:
Does anyone know for certain if this beta version includes the updated bluetooth? I have Mango beta on my Focus and so far I still have not been able to completely connect to my vehicles hands free device. I'm hoping that maybe it just has not been implemented yet.
Microsoft has updated the Bluetooth stack in Windows Phone 7.5, with the new stack receiving Bluetooth SIG approval on the 5th June 2011.
New is Hand-Free Profile 1.5, which should mean better support for Bluetooth car kits. Also updated is the AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Protocol) from version 1.0 to 1.3, which brings track and other meta-data information transmission and playback status information (paused, stopped, etc).
Unfortunately it still does not bring Sim Access Profile.

Developing wear app using watch GPS standalone (without phone)

A friend gifted to me a SWR50, now I want to develop a very simple app tracking locations using the internal GPS without pairing the phone.
I wrote the code but it only works when paired with the phone, if I turn off the phone (or simply the Bluetooth) the watch no longer receives location changes, if I turn it on the app on watch works again.
Strava and Ghostracer are able to work without the phone but I don't understand how they do, they are closed source so I can't study their source code.
The SDK API documentation doesn't say anything about some special "behavior"
Have you some hint for me? Are there some code I can study, some API documentation
