I have just recently started using the UMI Z (been around 5 days), for the price, it is indeed a nice piece of kit. but one thing i find disappointing is the fact that i can't change the notification LED colours, i have used several apps but still it does not change the LED notification colours, just stuck to Red, green and blue.
have any of you managed to have any success with this?
if yes, could you help me!
Also. just quickly, i am now using pro shot as the camera app which is a lot better than the original, is there any others which you would recommend to try?

Only using the Harlequin LED Notification in settings
That shows only red green and blue for options, what about other colours?

Some of my notifications are also blue or white. I haven't worked out which ones though!

new owner of this device here,
I just noticed: when I am looking at the top bar (bar of notification) I can se tiny rows flashing, when I concentrate on the main screen there are the flashing blinking tiny rows, something like refresh rate is bad or so,
dunno if you do have it as well, also when I have a web page with black background and white letters, letters are making shadows all the way through them to the edge of the screens
is this HW or SW so I can enhance it somehow?
- and yes I do have base ROM, Droid 2.2 froyo, just from the shop

i could not find suitable image or so, but it is similar like this one attached, especially grey color looks really ugly with many flashing tiny rows
It's going to be a faulty LCD, i don't have this problem either.

Hi there devs
so i have a simple request (i think) i would like a white theme that is just like stock ICS... so leave all the blue, and such, just turn the black into white (with the exception of the nav bar and status bar) everything else, either white or a light grey (kinda like MIUI is but except having the orange have the stock ICS blue, i would go to MIUI but 1. i hate orange, and 2, i have market place issues with MIUI)
i really hope someone can take on this project and do this for me... i knwo alot of other users might like the same thing...

No... I don't want the blue accent changed to white. I want all the current black backgrounds white/light grey. Etc. You go into settings the whole background is black. I want white/light grey.
And I want the icons to stay ics stock. Not to change.

and ya i saw that ghost one... dont like that at all... like i said above, looking for the exact same thing as AOSP black but for someone to turn the menu backgrounds (eg settings) into white...
ya i am using the sense theme now. i like it, but wanting to try the white one... but i dont like the green of it... hence why i would like what i mentioned above made... i'm sure there are plenty out there looking for AOSP white holo...
I second this. Black is nice, but its nice to have a white based theme. Not completely white. Just white menus, and stock ICS apps that look right with white and respective font color to meet the white.
exactly! so like the contact app is right now.... when you open it it was a white/light grey... i want that everywhere like in the setting... that background in the setting screen, call log, dial pad, etc etc etc but leaving the blue ICS signal meter , etc, etc as it is

That challenge would be incredibly difficult. I think BGill's theme is the closest you're going to get from a guy who started Android theming.

Hey guys I'm coming from a galaxy nexus and i was glad to see we have a notification light but what colors does it allow. For my girlfriend on my galaxy nexus I set the color to magenta but on my note 2 it is more of a blue than anything. So what colors does this notification light display?

Red green and blue i believe. Red is charging/low charge. Blue is notification and green is fullycharged

there are some apps out their to customize your led color and assign what color with a particular app. Light flow comes to mind.
There are about 6 or so colors the led is capable of. White is one of them besides green, red, purple, blue, yellow, I think orange...
Light manager app lets you change it to any color u want.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I have to ask,
Can your note 2 display orange, yellow or purple?
Mine refuses to display those, orange displays green with an orange spot , yellow only shows green, purple is anything but purple.
I have the international version, the hardware should be the same if i'm not mistaken

In the app you have to tap the thing in advanced settings that says "set hex colours for grey Samsung Galaxy Note II" It only does have the 3 led's but that allows them to be used at different intensity to simulate the other colours

I'm sorry, I searched around but couldn't find advanced settings in light flow.
Also, I tried different levels of blue and green with red at max, since red is weaker by a bit, and was unable to get white no matter what, have you been able to?

Use this. Been using it since I got my phone. Makes my notification light whatever Color I want. Even custom colors. Nothing tricky about it. Very easy to use! Also u can set individual colors for every messaging app. Certain color for sms. Different Color for gmail. Different for Kik. Very nice app

Oh sorry I'm using light manager not light flow. That was kind of my fault. Its got a specific setting just for the note 2 because its format is a little different

Yup you can disable it in light manager under battery charging and battery charged
hi there, im here feeling frustated to have found my gnex with this yellow colored wavy tinted on my screen.
i got this 2nd hand with very cheap price. im very happy with the performance but this colored tinted really irritates me especially when im running app with white background(sms, whatsapp, etc) which will make it more obvious.
anyone with this problem and know how to fix it? my last option would be to change the digitizer of course.
currently on latest nexushd with color setting to reduce the yellowness.
T_T... its almost the perfect phone for me.....ughh
from the picture, u can see that the less yellow tinted part is where the statusbar and the navigation bar reside.
my theory is that the black colored of the statusbar and navigation bar save the screen from the tints.

I was just wondering if there was a way to change the notification led's color ?
I used to configure different colors for each notification (Telegram, SMS, agenda, etc.) on my Xperia Z3 but i'm afraid that the little led hided behind the speaker grid is only blinking in green ?!

That's because it's not an RGB LED, it's green or red/orange (depending on what you see it as!)

On my last few HTC's they've only been green/red/orange. Doesn't really bother me. But it would have been nice if it was RGB.....
