Step 1: Head to Settings menu and then choose Apps.
Step 2: Press the gear icon in the top right-hand corner and choose Default Apps > Assist & voice input.
Step 3: Tap the Assist option and choose None from the pop-up menu.
The current selection is Google, which means that the Google Now shortcut on the lock screen will be replaced. And now for that caveat: Changing this setting also disables long-pressing the Home button to open Google Now on Tap.
If you change your mind, you can always switch the Assist app back to Google.

Thanks you very very much.
I solve the problem.
Happy new week

[Q] Fastest Method to doing a Voice Search?

Hi Everyone!
I wanted to ask if anyone knows the fastest way to access the voice search on our phones? I currently unlock my phone and hold down the search button for it to open. Couple questions...
1. Is there some kind of shortcut I can map to one of the lock screen shortcut (octo lock) that will open voice search?
2. Any possibility of having a visible "search" soft key at the lock screen?
3. Maybe there's a hardware mod that lets you hold down the volume key to execute a command?
Just throwing out random ideas if any of these exist. My goal is to basically open a voice search from the lock screen if possible. If anyone knows a better method then unlock and hold down the search soft key, Please let me know...
Thanks everyone!!
Galaxy Nexus LTE
AOKP Build 26
Stock Kernel
Just set one of your applications to voice dialer/ search and then slide to said application on the lock screen.
I'm assuming your on aokp?
Edit: they already have led flashlight from the lock screen by long pressing lock button... wonder if they could mod it to launch apps.
Sent from my francoPhone
add it to your navigation bars.
the softkeys mod offered with this ROM (not sure if you can use it by itself) makes the third softkey a dedicated search button and if you long press it at any point it does a voice search. also if you long press middle button it gives you the recent app list. ideal imo.
Thanks for all the responses!
I already have my nav bar at the bottom set up with a dedicated search key. I was looking for more of a method of accessing the voice search without unlocking the phone (from just the lock screen). I was hoping to map a app/command to one of the lock screen shortcuts that would open the voice search. Not a big deal... just wondering if I could access voice search even faster than just unlocking and holding the search button on my nav bar.

I used this to create a shortcut on my launcher home screen, so I assume you can use it to make a shortcut for octo lock: QuickShortcutMaker: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.sika524.android.quickshortcut&hl=en -- use the Voice Search entry that ends in RecognitionActivity.

Perfect solution!! This is exactly what I wanted. I was able to add a shortcut through activities and found the voice search with the recognitionactivity at the end. Now I can slide to the shortcut and it opens a voice search. Thanks dude!

I have an S4 and using Nova Prime. Is there a way to customize gesture command to shut the screen off(sleep mode) instead of pressing the power button?

Funny. I've just set this up myself.
Instructions:
1. Download and install the following app: TurnOff
2. Open the app and the test button, then make it a device admin.
3. Now open Nova Settings and go to Gestured and Buttons.
4. Select the desired gesture.
5. Go to the Shortcuts menu and select TurnOff.
Now go to home and test the gesture!

This in theory should work but didn't. For some reason, I can't choose turnoff in gestures under shortcut. It just turns off the screen whenever I choose it but it doesn't apply the command to the gesture. I can however choose activities under shortcuts > turnoff the screen > turnoff the screen(locker activity). This option works but when I wake up, it takes me to the turnoff app screen.
Are you able to make it work???

That's funny, when I had tested that one, it took me to the apps screen upon wake up. I guess it has to do with the different devices.

[Q] ''Swipe up ring'' google search/ quickmemo

With the G2 you could swipe up from the button and acces quickmemo.
There's only a google search option with the G4, any way to change this?

Not that I've found. there are two other good options:
1) Add QuickMemo+ to your quick shortcuts in the notification panel
2) add a shortcut to your lock screen
This should work.
Settings > Apps > (Menu) Reset Default Apps
Clear whichever one it is, and redo the action and you should get an option to reassign + some other options
Mine gives me the option to call out a tasker task or greenify screen off+lock which is what I do so i can turn the screenoff even from a full screen app without using the button on the back.

[THEME] [GUIDE] Get stock android look on One UI

This guide will show you how to theme your One UI 2.0+ Device to look and feel like stock android/pixel look.
THIS GUIDE WORKS ON ALL ONE UI DEVICES HOWEVER IT WAS TESTED ON ONE UI 2.5.
I have now created 2 sections "Basic" or "Extra's".
YOU DO NOT NEED ROOT!
PRE REQUISITES:
A Samsung device using One UI 2.0+
An internet connection
Ability to download apps
The Basic Stuff:
STEP 1: [VOLUME PANEL]
Download this from PlayStore:
Volume Styles - Customize your volume panel https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tombayley.volumepanel
Open the app, at the top right press "Start". This will ask you for some accessibility settings, after you've done this, go back to the app and select "Android", you may have to scroll down an inch or two. After this step you can test your volume keys and see it it worked. Congratulations you now have a stock android volume panel!
For darkmode users: After you've followed the steps above, press "Style Settings" found at the bottom of the app, find the "Auto Dark mode" option and toggle it. The panel should now match your darkmode settings.
STEP 2: [STATUS BAR QUICK SETTINGS]
Download this from PlayStore:
Power Shade: Notification Panel And Quick Settings
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.treydev.pns
After the app has downloaded, open it, when you first launch the app it will prompt you for some accessibility settings like the last app did, after you've completed this go back to the app and select "Heads Up" and turn OFF "Colourize Pop-Up Badge" and turn ON "Disable Pop-Up Badge".
Now scroll down and open your quick settings and check it out
Feel free to customize this app to your liking, I'm just leaving this as the bare minimum to get you up and running with a stock look.
STEP 3: [LAUNCHER SETUP]
Download this icon pack:
Pixel Q Icon Pack
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.pt.iconpack.pixel_q
(I think this pack is the best FREE icon pack for a stock look, if you have any other suggestions please leave them below!)
No need to open this app.
Download Customized Pixel Launcher:
Customized Pixel Launcher
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.whatau.cpl
Press your home button, you will get a prompt asking you which launcher to choose, select CPL (Customized Pixel Launcher). Press and hold the homescreen until a menu pops up with various options at the bottom, press "Icon Pack" and select the icon pack we just downloaded. This took me a few tries as the icon pack kept going back to the system default, but it eventually worked after a few attempts of reselecting it. Feel free to customize this launcher to your liking, however for this guide I will only be changing the grid size for home and desktop. So press and hold the homescreen again and select: "Home Settings" now go into home screen and change the grid size to 5x6, I found this the best on my Galaxy S9, however it may be different to yours. I chose the same on desktop and left it at that.
Screenshots will be added soon.
Extra Tweaks:
These tweaks will only work on One UI Devices.
NAVIGATION BAR:
I haven't tested this but it should work, if it doesn't please update me in the comments.
Open galaxy store, search for "Good Lock" and download the app. (I've heard stuff about this being locked in some countries, it most likely is, I'll try to test it ASAP!).
After you have Good Lock downloaded open it and select "NavStar". This will bring up the NavStar download page from the Galaxy Store. Download it and return to Good Lock. Once its downloaded launch it again through Good Lock and toggle it on. Find the style you like, you can even make your own, soon I will be making my own pixel icons and uploading them to here for everyone to use since the built in pixel icons are kinda trash. Have fun
REMEMBER TO HIT THANKS!
I WILL BE ADDING MORE WAYS SOON!

Question Can't find settings shortcut

I have an S22 with Android 13. Posts on the web say that if I swipe down twice to get to Settings, there should be an "edit" button in the bottom left corner where the settings shortcuts can be set up. I have no "edit" button? What am I missing?
Thanks
It's in the upper right. After pulling down twice click the three dots (ellipse) and you will see edit buttons.

Many thanks for the pointer but I still don't see the settings shortcut view that allows the tiles or the other buttons that should appear at the bottom of the screen.
Thanks
Are you talking about rearranging the settings menu?
Not exactly. I have been looking at a number of Android 13 reviews that show one of the features as being a tile view for quick access to favourite settings. I get the normal settings view but can't find the tile view.
