[ROM][19FEB][Ascend XT] H1611.STOCK.ROOTED.NOVA.B150.ROM - Huawei Ascend XT ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Othe

Don't have much time here but wanted to get this out
Here's My First Roms for the Huawei Ascend XT
Flashing instructions.. You Must already be on B150 firmware.
You must Mount - System / Cust and Data in TWRP before you start the install.
After install wipe cache / dalvik and reboot
Note if you not on B150 firmware I have a guide here -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3555254 on how to update
Downloads
H1611.STOCK.ROOTED.NOVA.B150.ROM
H1611.B150.Debloated.Rom
The stock rooted nova has a lot of apps disabled
the Debloated Rom actually removes a bunch of stuff
As Always Make a Backup before you flash Anything ... Factory reset is not required but you may loose some stuff so be aware

Reserved

I re-uploaded H1611.STOCK.ROOTED.NOVA.B150.ROM with the correct /cust in it
the first one had the debloated /cust in it by mistake

It's not something I will use personally but thank you for your efforts. it is appreciated!

Just installed this and it changed my IMEI number. Luckily I had a backup and was able to fix it. Thanks anyways

How much is the free space with the debloated version?

I believe the free space remains the same no matter what the debloating consist of. With EMUI the 8GB (approx) usable space remains, the rest is dedicated to the system/phone partition.

Ugh! How did you fix the IMEI?

Sorry but it must have been something else you flashed or restored the Rom doesn't contain any partitions that hold the IMEI

The efs1 and efs2 partitions hold your IMEI and Serial Number ...flashing the roms will not affect those

That's what I thought, and obviously since you know that, you would not post a ROM with those two files, I presume, so I wonder how OPs IMEI changed?
I've read that one should not even restore their own EFS backups unless absolutely necessary, as doing that may lead problems/corruption.

I'm not sure what they did. I know all the TWRP backups I have uploaded have the efs partitions removed for just that reason

All I did was mount the data, system, cust, and microsdcard (where I put the ROM zip) partitions then hit install - h1611 debloated, wiped cache, and then rebooted. Tried it a second time and it still changed the IMEI to mod edit: IMEI deleted.
Note: I don't have a SIM card in the phone as I'm still using my other phone for now but I don't know if that makes a difference. The phone is SIM unlocked. I updated the firmware to B150 before the rom install using your other post and had the stock_b150_pre_root recovery loaded. That is what I used to restore the original IMEI.
---------- Post added at 06:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:08 PM ----------
One thing that it did do was remove a lot of the AT&T bloatware even after the stock_b150_pre_root restore so I'm happy with how it turned out.

@clsA,
A little bird told me that the IMEI Daiison posted below belongs to your phone, so if indeed your OP files don't contain EFS partition backups, then it's very interesting how Daiison's phone now has your IMEI # after following OP instructions, isn't it .

I did use your other thread to update from B140 to B150, and my original IMEI is still intact. I don't think I used your TWRP data image, so that might be a factor. I doubt the boot or system images are a factor because @dabadguycr and I compared checksums for our backups of those two IIRC , and we had identical checksums, so my suspect is the data image - but I didn't think that's where the IMEI is stored - very confusing .

Sorry, I did not mean to post your IMEI. I thought it was just some random number or the default one for Huawei phones. I tried the install a third time with the SIM card installed and it didn't make a difference.

Well, how would you know that? And it's a good thing you were observant and noticed the IMEI changed. The SIM card should not make a difference, and it has nothing to do with the IMEI number getting set on the phone.

OK here's where I have a problem you say you restored your stock IMEI by restoring the stock_b150_pre_root
All this restores is Stock
Boot.img
Recovery.img
System.img
and an Empty /data
None of these partitions could restore your correct IMEI so what is going on ?
The rom's contain
Boot.img (custom rooted)
cust.img (debloated or Stock depends on which rom)
data.img (so root works and some apps are preinstalled)
system.img
As you can see nothing in the Rom has any IMEI info in it many of us have flashed the different /cust backups and never had the IMEI affected so I don't see /cust being the problem ...So is it possible no roms can be flashed to this phone ?
Did anyone else that downloaded the Rom's actually flash it and have your IMEI changed ?

100% reset from ICS

Hi!
I will have to send my Kindle back since it has a hardware issue. What is the smoothest way to reset it completely i.e including removing TWRP2 and the custom bootloader.
I found a quite outdated thread in which it seemed like you could just flash the original Kindle image, will that work? Also, I do have a NAND-backup, if I restore the device to this backup will it also restore the bootloader and remove TWRP?
Thanks in advance!

The downloaded file is a bin file. After downloading I copied that to root of SD card (Just like any other ROM), however TWRP won't see that file when I boot KF in Recovery.
You have to rename the .bin to .zip before moving it to your sdcard
just be careful with how you wipe. I wiped too much once and ended up having to get a factory cable to fix my kindle.

[Q][Solved] SIM card not detected after flashing different roms (Chinese phone)

After flashing Kyrillos Lite n Fast rom on a friend’s Galaxy Ace 2 (gt-i8160), the phone does not detect the sim card anymore. I tried different stock roms and kernels, which all flash and work fine, but the sim card remains undetected. The IMEI is gone, too. I cannot make calls or enter the network settings.
Do you have any idea how to repair this?
Try following the link on my sig! It may work on the gt i8160 also!!
Re: [Q] SIM card not detected
Try to change new sim card... maybe your simcard is broken...

the efs folder is mounted.
Re: [Q] SIM card not detected
Generally, when you install Kyrillos, making necessary WIPE, read the installation instructions carefully!
. CWM6 Recovery
*- Go to mounts and storage
*- Mount: system, cache, data, preload (Be sure to mount your partitions or the installation is complete!)
After mounting should look like
unmount system
unmount cache
unmount data
unmount preload

Sorry, I didn’t make clear: I installed v5, not v7. I never tried to install JB, only GB. And I think there is no /preload folder in GB?

Clearly, then just do not help you. I remember, too, put v. 5! But there were no problems!

For anybody who might get into the same situation: I solved the problem.
The Chinese phones, though seemingly similar in hardware, seem to have some difference, I don’t know what it is.
None of the stock / pre-rooted stock / custom roms and different kernels would let the phone detect any sim card, except for "I8160ZCLK3 / CHNLK3 China".
I found it via this site, which leads to a download list). It eventually leads to a hotfile URL.
Hope this helps! It definitely saved me 200 bucks.

I have over 30 hours invested in trying to get this phone to work. I bought what I thought was a Eruopean version but it was in fact the HK version. I do not think there is a way around this. I am putting the original 2.3.6 back on and sending it back.
The phone is great. I have installed lots of ROMS in trying this. The hardware modem is simply not compatible with later firmwares.
Big Problem
Hello, I am a new user of Android. I have bought a Chinese android. Maximus MAX908. Chipset MTK6572. CPU Dual Core 1.0 GHz. GPU 3D GPU.
Though this isnt a branded phone, its not also a very rubbish phone. Today I've tried to flash a custom rom. Before this I have used a custom rom of Galaxy S4. I have rooted my phone and flash the rom through CWM.
"The problem is I can not start my phone now. Even I can not go to recovery mode either."

Hi i am getting invalid imei after flashing wrong rom , the link you provided is not working is there any other link or can you upload it as attachement it would be great help
I solved the Sim and IMEI problem
I solve the problem by restoring NVRAM backup of my device with MTKdroid tool. Fortunately i backed up my NVRAM and when i see my phone does not recognize sim card and imei is also unknown, i decided to restore imei by using MVRAM backup of my device and restore it. Then i surprised to see that my sim issue is also resolve automatically, thanks to God. you can also try this for your device and if u don't have a NVRAM backup then try to store your IMEI on your box by using Mtkdroid tool i hope its helpful for others thnks

You must have flashed wrong preloader. Try to search for original ROM for your phone and flash it with SP Flash Tool using Format+Download option. Chinese phones can't get bricked unless hardware breaks down. I've flashed wrong preloader many times and i was still able to flash the right one by holding Vol- button before attaching the USB cable to phone. Good luck.

[Q] S3 freezes and basically dies at random times despite battery near full

So weird phenomenon started happening yesterday. I was on cm10.1 RC5 and hadn't done anything new to my phone but randomly throughout the day it would just go black and not respond to unlock and basically looked like it was in power off mode. Only way to get it back up is to reboot but then it will freeze in 5 mins to an hour and power off again.
I thought it was a rom issue at first so I flashed to cm10.2 the most stable one right now but it happened again. So I tried to restore to stock and after I fianlly got it to stock on android 4.12 and then when I was setting up the phone it happned again.
One thing though, I booted phone into recovery and kept it on for more than 2 hours without any random shutoffs or freezes which leads me to believe its still a software issue. Any help?

How are you wiping the phone? Which recovery are you using? it does sound ROM related, because you say it stays up in recovery. It could be what edfunkycold talked about before, Sudden Death Syndrome

When you say storage are you talking about internal or external? You should not wipe internal storage, some of these files are needed for the Operating System. It's not sudden death syndrome.

When you flashed billiard's OTA stock, did you keep stock or you flashed custom recovery, and did you keep root? From my understanding, only stock recovery will erase and rewrite internal storage. I would try it again, and do not flash custom recovery or root access. Let the phone boot up without flashing root or custom recovery. If it boots, and doesn't freeze and die for awhile, then proceed with rerooting and installing custom recovery again.

The only thing I can tell you is to try flashing again, without custom recovery, it should wipe and reformat internal storage for you. I don't think custom recovery allows internal storage to be rewritten. As long as you can get into download mode, you can always use ODIN to reflash stock image, should anything happen and the stock ROM didn't work. If your not familiar with ODIN, you can try mskip's toolbox here.

Try the toolbox I posted above. It will open ODIN and flash the needed files for you. YOU MUST FOLLOW DIRECTIONS VERY CAREFULLY. The thing most people miss when using this toolbox, is make sure your phone's serial number shows up, before trying anything else this toolbox will do.

Yes, root 1st, then custom recovery. But, to me, the easier way, toolbox will do all these things for you. Let me know how it goes!

I added info to pervious post, in case you didn't see it, do not wipe internal storage, Operating System uses some of those files. Everything else your wiping is correct.

Incorrect, nothing that the OS uses gets stored on the internal storage, it all goes to system... It is completely safe to wipe your internal storage when moving between ROMs, I and many others do it with every flash

Hi i'm in the same situation, i cleared my internal storage, how did you sent the backup file without access into android?
Is there a way to push the file from twrp? bootloader or stock recovery?
Thanks in advance.
Hmm I don't know guys if You are screwing up with the wipes or if really it bootloops, I tested it and had no issues

Go to bootloader and try tutorial for back to stock
For anyone with bootlop and cleared internal storage, use usb otg and flash twrp recovery, i was able to mount usb and restore from there.
Thanks to everyone that helped me

Is there a possibility that the backup it's somehow linked to your phone has it was saving some type of serial ID or something because mine enter bootloop just before i was beginning to configurate has i said i thought it could be resolved with a data and cache erase but the recovery it's the stock one and erase all the phone... why don't you tray uploading another backup but with root and twrp? Anyone else succeeded with these backup?
did a twrp backup but hwen i connect the phone to the computer i don't see the TWRP folder in my internal storage, any idea?
The folder does appear on your phone?

first you need to make a backup using TWRP
you'll see the folder
then erase or save it in your pc the previous backup

Same problem – wifi don't work. It's boot okay one time, but hangs after turning on wifi. After that i have bootloop (shows "launch applications" notify and reboot). Looks like radio problem. In fastboot mode Baseband shows nothing.
Check Baseband on your phone. I think problem is in radio, that It's not backed up with TWRP.

Lost all signal-X Beside Bars (Rooted, S-Off, TWRP, Factory Reset)

I attempted to flash Beanstalk 6.0, and when I finished the install and set-up I found that I had lost all signal. I called StraightTalk and they sent me a new sim but, that also did not work. I am at a loss for this is my only phone. I have been up for hours trying to find a fix to this but I am stuck and I need help badly.
Have you tried downloading another ROM, or restoring a backup?
Flashing a ROM wouldnt have messed up radio. Did you flash firmware too? do a getvar all at fastboot and paste in your reply.
Not the radio no, but RIL maybe.

I agree we need more info about the phone.
To the OP, delete IMEI and serial number before posting getvar output.

I agree with this as well. If a problem arises after flashing a ROM, flash a different one, or revert to TWRP backup, and see if the problem persists.
And you should always make a TWRP backup (or otherwise, have a known good TWRP backup available on the device) before flashing a new ROM.
