I am installing the rom(carbon kitkat) at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2575425 for my friends arc s but in downloads only the name anzu is shown (codename for arc) can i use the same rom for arc s?? Thanks

Yes, carbon is based on LegacyXperia CM11 and the arc/arc-s use the same kernel/ROM.
i mean ..they are identical in specs..and i found miui 8 for xperia z based on 6.0.1, and man, i really want to try it.. will it be ok?
