I updated TWRP to the latest 3.0.3-a (originally I had 3.0.2-1.
I cant boot to OS and my D802 is useless. anay help ???
thank you
Petr

Manually like fastboot? Are you sure you did not flash TWRP to boot instead of recovery?
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

My D802 downloaded new nightly build and rebooted to TWRP and nothing happened. So I install the new nightly manually in TWRP.
Since I did it it reboots only to TWRP.
Tried to wipe all in my phone including internal storage etc. and installed new fresh Lienage (tried more nightly)
I even tried to install it from fastboot and it boots only to TWRP itself even I use BOOT TO SYSTEM in TWRP.
i had no chance to flash TWRP instead of updated OS since there is only lineage-14.1-20170306-nightly-d802-signed.zip and open_gapps-arm-7.1-stock-20170308.zip on my flash (OTG)
update: It does not matter what ROM do I install to my D802, I get TWRP bootloop only ..

Solution
I know the solution of this problem just read carefully
You have to do it from the fastboot.
Google your device and learn how to enter into fastboot mode after switching off the phone via pressing combination of hardware keys.
Then Google and download the exact same following files for your phone model not others (wrong files will brick your phone). Following are the files :-
1 boot.img
2 droidboot.img
3 recovery.img
4 rom.zip
(All the above mentioned files should be the official files provided by the manufacturer company of the phone)
Now download the basic Windows or mac or Linux driver of your phone for the computer you have and install it in your computer, then restart your computer and also install the "minimal fastboot" in your computer and then connect your phone while phone is in fastboot mode, then copy all the above mentioned files in the folder where the minimal fastboot driver is installed.
Now go to that folder where minimal fastboot is installed in your computer and press shift key and while keep pressing the shift key right click the mouse and select "open command" here.
Note Google and learn the command how to check whether your device is connected to your computer via fastboot.
Then install all the mentioned files using fastboot commands.
Hurry you have your phone with official ROM and then if you want use the same technique you may have used earlier to unlock bootloader and root your device and installing the latest twrp.recovery and then lineageos.
Now your phone is unbricked and you have latest lineageos.
Also remember the ota update of lineageos is broken so don't install updates via updater app.
The safest method is to download the whole update package and put it into your phones internal/external/usb otg drive and install via custom recovery.
Be happy

[Q] Re-installing Stock ROM on xiaomi Redmi 1s

Hello,
I insatlled CWM recovery mode and flashed the phone with cynogenmod 11 with 4.4.4. It was working very good. Then I thought of re-flashing the device to Stock MIUI ROM. As it was giving error in sdcard mount, I installed the ROM with sideload. After completion, it stuck at the splash screen. I still can boot in Recovery mode, but not CWM recovery mode, it MI Recovery Mode. How can I make this phoe working again. What can I do ? Which software can be used to do a recovery from system. Any links softwares are present?
Help me please.... I am stuck here....
Well for beginning, you have to first think of you made a backup or not, if yes then no issues, if not then you need to flash the rom again.
Ok so, boot into fastboot by holding the vol- and power button, make sure your pc has fastboot drivers installed (google for fastboot drivers) then download the twrp recovery image and put the files in the same directory as fastboot driver.
After you have completed this pm back i will tell you next steps.

I just cleared the cache and data partition and restarted the phone. It started working. How can I know more about the different partitions and its usability as per Android OS. What keyword I use to search on Google or if you can provide any link...
Thanks for help.
Very simple, you can search google : "How to use MI Flash." It is a tool which is used for flash rom via fastboot with all Xiaomi Device.
There are 2 ways for installing stock rom : via recovery or via fastboot. You need down stock rom (for fastboot), then extract and using Mi Flash browse to folder u extracted
^^that was not what he asked.
Google for android system partitions info or info specific to redmi1s ...

[Q] Boot Loop and not entering recovery!

I wasn't able to adb sideload from recovery though I could when the phone was on. so i tried clearing cache from stock recovery and it got interrupted. Now when i start the phone, boot loops and i can't even enter recovery. Any help please!
Update
Now I can enter recovery after long charging and I could wipe cache. I can boot normally.
Problem now is that adb devices command can actually detect the phone when it's booted and functioning; but the adb devices command can't detect the device when in fastboot or after entering recovery! Can anyone provide solution to this?

Where are you getting your adb/fastboot toolkit? If using the ones your Linux distro (Debian, Ubuntu, etc) provided, then consider them out of date. I had the same problem with fastboot recognizing my phone...once I downloaded fresh ones from Google's SDK, I was back in business!
Am on windows and i had fastboot_adb(1.0.32) already installed.
Update
I could update by flashing through Kernel Adiutor app (needs root permission & Busybox). Root lost when flashed complete firmware and root remained when flashed just the update file.zip.
what i did was-
I put zip file (completely downloaded firmware from ASUS website-also tried OTA downloaded and updated the phone) on MicroSD card, renamed the file MOFD_SDUPDATE.zip. This flashed through Kernel Adiutor app- recovery- cwm-flash.
Re-reooted the phone with 1 click method (method #3) when flashed the complete rom. If you just flash the update zip root remained.
All working fine for now.
PS: I use Z008 2gb model.

Don't do this if you don't want to have your phone baseband completely removed meaning no sim card function at all. I did exactly this when trying to install stock room and it deleted my baseband. Luckily I had made a backup a month before that. I restored it from the backup and the phone (sim card) started working again.
Anyways, back to the original issue. So you're saying your phone isn't recognized in fastboot? When I wipe system and data and then go into fastboot and enter "fastboot devices" it shows nothing but I can still flash files into the phone. I'm guessing this is because the phone has no 'name' due to the system wiping. So try going into fastboot on your phone, connect it to PC and open adb, and then enter the command 'fastboot flash recovery twrp.img' (download the latest version of TWRP for Lenovo P2 and rename it to twrp).
If then you are able to enter TWRP after rebooting, download stock Lenovo P2 ROM and flash it.

Unable to flash TWRP via fastboot

Hello, I have a huuuuge problem.
Every time I try to flash TWRP through cmd, nothing happenes. I have all needed files, my phone is being recognized in adb devices, reboots on command, is on fastboot devices list, reboots on fastboot reboot command, but it totally do nothing when I use fastboot flash recovery twrp.img command. Maybe it's my drivers fault, because last time i uninstalled my device through Device Manager, somehow it worked and I flashed TWRP. But then I switched to MIUI and as expected TWRP was removed. And I cannot flash it, please help
Did you update to latest MIUI?
Yes, right now I'm on Global Stable.
Turn your pc into a new one then you will.
Why turn your PC into a new one? resetting?
Isn´t there another solution?
Removes old data such as adb, platformtool, twrp.then can do it.I've come across and solved this way Do not know why
xx
Posted another tread:
I struggled a lot installing TWRP. I did not succeed flashing TWRP from my PC. My solution was:
Starting up TWRP: fastboot boot twrp.img / boot command only boot and does not flash.
Thereafter installed Magisk 17.1 from TWRP for rooting
Thereafter flashed TWRP / I tested flashing both by using Flashify and TWTP Manager and both worked.
Maybe by using Flashify I had to use an older version of TWRP. Think TWRP Manager let me install 3.2.3-0 direct without problems.

Wiped everything using TWRP and need help restoring.

Hi.
So I was messing around with the twrp custom recovery and (without thinking much of it) wiped everything in the advanced wipe menu :crying: (System, data, EVERYTHING)
I knew I had removed my OS and that I could just use the twrp recovery to install a new rom onto my phone BUT little did I know, when I tried to boot into the custom recovery, it would just loop the screen with the redmi logo
I am still able to boot into fastboot mode, and I have tried to flash the same twrp recovery but with no avail (It still loops the redmi logo screen)
So now I'm here to ask if there is any advice that you could give me to try and fix this problem that I have gotten myself in (I am not worried about deleting any of my personal files. I would just like to get twrp to boot so that I can install another rom)
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me with this problem :highfive:
Hi, which rom are you trying to install? for android 9 use this recovery https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...overy-unofficial-twrp-recovery-redmi-t4002397, for android 10 this one... https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82062075&postcount=7...
If what nuvulet said doesn't work, in fastboot, flash the exact same stock ROM you had before, let it boot and then flash TWRP.

Hi, thanks for the fast reply.
The stock android I had before I wiped everything was android 9, MIUI 11. I tried againt to flash the recovery through fast boot but (like before) when I try to boot into the recovery (by holding the volume up button as it reboots), the redmi logo keeps appearing and disappearing and doesn't go to the twrp recovery. At the current moment I don't have any OS installed (since it got deleted when I wiped everything)
Any other leads I could try?

I'm not sure how I can flash the stock ROM without the twrp recovery. I had the impression that you needed twrp recovery in order to install ROMs in the first place.
If there is a method to flash a ROM using fastboot, please explain since my unexperienced self has no idea how to do this.
Thanks for the fast reply too

MiFlash works through fastboot mode. It's also safer to flash with MiFlash, just make sure you have the correct ROM.
I can't find the guide right now, I'm at work

Yes, this is the method I used to flash the twrp recovery.
My problem was that even after installing it (using this method), i would still not be able to boot into the recovery.
However, it is fixed now. I used the Mi Flash tool in order to install the stock rom and then installed twrp after that. :good:

I tried this method and IT WORKED!!
After installing Mi flash I was able to download the stock rom and install it through the program without any errors.
I was then able to finally boot into the OS and install twrp recovery, then install the custom rom!
Thanks for this method. I would probably still be stuck on the Redmi logo if it weren't for this
