Just downloaded the game not a fan tho, Wanted to try. I'm on RR 7.1.1 Unified builds and magisk enabled. The game seem to be force closing all the time. A red Nintendo screen splashes and fades away. I'm not t=sure the problem is with the ROM or app itself. I tried clearing cache,Rebooting and all.
Anyone facing the same issue?
Anyone knows how to fix?
app is good. i got it on my op3 stock and it works fine. looks like its an rom related problem.

had the same issue , turns out it's failing a safetynet issue .
install magisk SU to pass safetynet issue and it should work fine.
See my sig, works with that system.

Yes did that too. My magisk passed safetynet also i tired hiding magisk for mario. Didn't help tho

its a problem with supersu root, if you use Magisk (you can hide it inside official app) won't have problems. I can play to Pokemon GO and SM Run without problem using it

Same with that, doesn't work..
I think it would be interesting to kow if ppl who say it fails to work use OxygenOS or something else. My configuration works for PKMN Go and Mario Run without ANY problems at all.

are you using custom rom? because some roms have root included and you manage it in developer options.
With Magisk configurated and included root turn off, you should play without problems

I use latest BJRR RR from Eliminater, wich includes by default magisk
Rooted systemless with magisk, safetyCheck pass, magisk hide enabled !

How to install Magisk on RR 7.1.1?
Hi! I have a one plus one and I am running Lineage OS 14.1-20170130 (7.1.1) and I can't play aswell.
I get the red Nintendo splash screen and it closes.
Running latest lineage weekly with zenith EAS 004 kernel and magisk and no issues whatsoever, I was able to start up the game and make a profile and play without any craziness
Update the magisk to latest version11.6 ! It helped me....

Yep, just tried with magisk and it worked. I found it on this reddit just after my previous post. At the r/LineageOS subreddit (the name of the post is "Super Mario Run came out about minutes ago, but crashes on start (Kenzo)" ). (I can't post urls yet)
Doesn't work on latest RR with latest magisk, safetyCheck pass and hide too.
I was on my previous install with latest RR AND superSU
I dirty flashed the ROM to remove superSU and work root with magisk
Is dirty flash is enough to remove superSU ?

I can not install magisk modules and my device constantly loses its root without a reason.
I have the same problem. Magisk seems to be still buggy. But at least I haven't seen the "losing root" issue after disabling "Magisk Hide" in the settings.

I was getting the same problem, magisk loosing root and phone getting encryptation problems... making me to format my phone twice.
After i noticed the problem was with magisk 13.3, so i tried to install 13.6 beta but no success, it give me error "Unable to detect boot image" during instalation.
Then i decided to mod magisk zip file (updater_script) , installed then and jrummy busybox (I think oldversions are conflicting with magiskSu)... and now i got 2 days without problem.

LoL Many thanks for your help. It's all normal here.
I'm going to agree on conflict issues being the likely cause. Between custom roms having su built in like Resurrection remix, SuperSU and standalone magisk, there are plenty of possibilities for messed up boot images.
In fact, 2 things bother me the most.
1. I can not install magisk modules
2. The magisk does not pass SafetyNet.
I do not know if that happens to you.
My Z2 is a verizon one so this is where my advice stops on that phone. I've Magisk on the 3T and pixel only

Just got this phone the other day and it seems that I can't get adaway to actually block any ads? I got magisk su, the app works (I can grant it root, it updates the hosts files successfully, I've rebooted, etc) but none of the ads in chrome actually get blocked, for example.
I've done this for every other phone I've previously had without issue, so I was wondering if you have any thoughts around what might be happening?

Did you tried togling systemless hosts switch in Magisk Manager?
It will be usefull if you inform exact version of OOS, Magisk and Adaway

I have tried with it both enabled and disabled (and with reboots in between). The box in Adaway gets checked automatically as well.
In terms of versions:
OOS: 4.7.2
Magisk: 14.0
Adaway: 3.2

Since the last few days my snapchat keeps getting temporarily blocked, I'm on a SM-G960F (Galaxy S9_9.0_JULYSecurity) rooted with Magisk and flashed with latest Ambasadii Rom(19.0). The first 3 weeks using snapchat with root & custom rom there weren't any problems at all. Can somebody help me?

A lot of people are having the same issue. Magisk Hide doesn't seem to work with the latest versions of Snapchat. No matter what you do you will keep getting locked out of your Snapchat account. I'm a bit of a NOOB when it comes to this stuff but here is what has worked for me so far. Firstly, you have to serve your penance. There's nothing you can do about that. My most recent ban was 2 weeks. When your access has been restored delete the Snapchat app. Download an older version of Snapchat from apkmirror.com and install it. Version 10.540.31 worked for me. **IMPORTANT** You must untick auto-update of the Snapchat app in Goggle Play. Hide the Snapchat app with Magisk and then hopefully you should be OK. It's only a workaround but it's the only solution I've come across that works. Having said that, it's only been several days but so far so good. If I get locked out again I'll let you know. Good luck.

Same issue here and Im on a SM-G960FD with lightROM v23 and magisk 19.3. I tried randomly with 10.60.5.0 but it didnt work. I will try with version 10.540.31 of snapchat when my 2 day ban is over.
It's been 2 weeks and Snapchat hasn't locked me out using my workaround. So far so good. :good::good:

Follow these steps to use Snapchat with magisk -
1.) Update to latest Magisk stable build v20.0 - https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v20.0/Magisk-v20.0.zip
2.) After updating magisk, Go to Magisk Manager > Magisk Hide and check/enable Snapchat and Google Services (all services have to be marked).
3.) Hide Magisk Manager by it self, go to Magisk Manager > Settings and "Hide Magisk Manager" so it will repack Magisk Manager with random name.
4.) Delete "busybox" binary from /system/xbin directory and install BusyBox module from Magisk Manager > Downloads.
5.) Clear data and cache of Snapchat, try to login this time, it will work for sure, if it doesn't, login to this and click unlock my account - https://accounts.snapchat.com/accounts/login?continue=https://accounts.snapchat.com/accounts/welcome
I have tried this myself and it works, my first main account was permanent banned on magisk canary build, After that I deleted that account :crying: and started out with fresh new account.

Is it then possible to run this rom without getting a message on for an example MS Teams that my phone is rooted? Last time I tried with an other rom, with magisk hide - I encountered this problem.

Try derpfest it is very good. And yes you can use magisk 24 and configure denylist to hide root access

You will be almost good to go with Magisk DenyList + Universal SafetyNet Fix. I'm using these with DerpFest and all of my banking apps have no complaints whatsoever
The reason why I use "almost" is because some banking apps have their counter measures so im not sure, but at least banking app that I'm using are all passed and good to go with these two.

You can find attached the patched boot image for the first stable OOS 13 firmware (IN2023 = 8 Pro European/Global version)
Steps :
Unlock the phone bootloader
Install ADB and Fastboot on your computer
Download the patched boot.img below
Reboot your phone to fastboot mode and link it to your computer
Open a terminal prompt in the directory where the boot.img is located
type in the cmd
fastboot flash boot IN2023_11_F13-Patched.img

First thoughts on OOS 13 are really positive, smoothness is the first thing I noticed, it's day and night with OOS 12
The UI revamp is very satisfying to me
Overall, it feels more polished than OOS 12, with the sense of details in every feature/setting, and some new unique features

I keepted mine as well, SafetyNet and gPay are working, but Unlock with Fingerprint Sensor is not. No reaction to sensor at all, not able to register new Finger...
Edit: Working now. Needed to disable USNF module, no reboot, Fingerprint Sensor working, register Fingers, screen lock, test, enable USNF module, enjoy

I already have the fil, but I can't install it from system update apk,
am I missing something ?

re-downloaded the file again from Oxygen updater, but still it fails to install nd also "verification failed" in system local update.

I re MSM back to OOS11 and upgraded directly to OOS 13 F3.

What is the procedure to upgrade to OOS13 from OOS11 without losing root, Magisk modules and all my data?
I tried downloading full OOS12 using Oxygen Updater app, ran Local System Upgrade, it finished normally, then installed Magisk to inactive slot (after OTA) and rebooted BUT after reboot - the system stays 11.0.11.11. And the attempt to Local System Upgdate for OOS13 fails right on start.
What am I missing?

I updated from oos 13 unrooted. Lost my root using oos12
I was able to get OOS13 installed but now need to restore root.

1. Netflix and hotstar are not working.
2. Hdfc and Axis apps are not working.
Are they working for u ? I have tried a lot of fixes but couldn't get them to work. If someone can help it would be highly appreciated

I have rooted it successfully. Everything is working except Netflix, Disney Hotstar and a few banking apps. I have tried enforcing denylist, shamiko.etc. nothing is getting them to work.
If u have any fix please let me know.

In magisk go to settings then make sure zygisk is checked and activate denylist. In the denylist check google services is check.
Then install the module universital safetynetfix v 2.3.1 by kdrag0n
To me netflix and other apps work.
In the google play store you have many apps that can check if your safetynet is verified after it. If its verified it should work
To me vanced manager do not work when i try to install youtube vanced. It says that i tried to downgrade paquet but i did not. I uninstalled every youtube upgrade. If somebody know

Flash Universal SafetyNet module in magisk (kdrag0n) and Magisk Bootloop Protector (just in case)
Check your status after a reboot with YASNAC from Play Store
Force the Magisk DenyList, and when configuring it, develop the apps and check all the tick boxes manually (to be sure)
Uninstall Netflix and install the latest .apk from APKMirror, can't help as other app (banking too) works fine
Isn't vanced dead ?
YouTube Premium Argentina is very affordable fyi ....
