i'm not him but i would say nothing? lol
well maybe being Official, it is sure that the rom will have updates? or something like that, meanwhile unofficial depends of the only user that made rom to update
i think that is the only reason? or something more

I will keep the rom updated till Android O drops, maybe even longer when enough peoples like it.
For me there is no advantage in an official rom... This has even the advantage of a custom hardware button menu in the PureNexus settings that does not exist on PureNexus usually

Any feedback? Rom looks really juicenice 400mb only I will test it today maybe

Another beauty for our beast

Is it f2fs compatible?

i installed it and i felt it had really laggy animations, i don't know to explain, when you scroll on facebook for example, it "freezes" or "lags" (i don't know the term) and it is really annoying, is like when you are playing a game at 60fps but you have a lot of stuttering
anyways my phone is Mi5 32GB, maybe it is because that, probably for the 64GB they won't have any problem

Not working :crying:

I clean flashed, 'swap buttons', 'fingerprint as home' and 'fingerprint wake-up' does work for me.

Serious mate @33bca THANK YOU for this! This plus a kernel that really works well with this ROM = who needs a freaking iphone? I hope you'll be updating this ROM always. It's currently my top 1 ROM at the moment. Bold statement I know. But it's true.

After few minutes of experience
Rom is fast and smoot for daily usage
Bug is no data icon like h+ or 3g sign while data is on
I attached few screenshots
One request please add home button press to wakeup
Thnx for awesome rom

one more just incase
Finally posted!! Tried running the first version when it was released on androidfilehost, but kept running into play services error. Didn't matter the gapps package. This and noobbuilds kept giving me the same fc. I provided a pastebin in that thread. Not sure if this new build has the same issue, as I literally just flashed m, but hopefully it was resolved. Loved pure when I had it. Super smooth.

Mine also got goole play service fc with whatever gapps I tried. Full wipe too
Does this ROM support the LTE version? Am currently running a rooted stock ROM with TWRP. Do I need to completely wipe or a dirty flash will do?

I tried installing both art and inversion layer themes but the layer APKs for each app aren't being installed. No clue if it's the roms fault or mine.

Have you installed other layers on your N9 in the past? I've read that layers has issues with the 9 so I haven't tried any yet. Layers work great on the N6 version of this ROM.

If you check the Broken ROM thread, there is some discussion on how to resolve Layers issues.
Pretty sure it was the Broken thread anyway.
Something to do with manually changing file paths for installed files.

You and me both on that note! Still have it on my N5 actually but retired that for the Moto G4.
When I first got this device there was a small handful of ROM's available, now there is like every ROM available haha. Thanks for hooking it up man

No root
FYI Guys, you may flash SuperSu 2.79 SR3 for root access.
Have a nice day all
Restart when you open the Photos application and Es Explorer
BTW, I'm not home so I can't test this ROM but if Magisk doesn't work then flash ElementalX first and see if that works.
Magisk is a much better alternative to SuperSU anyway, as is phh's SU.
System UI has stopped. I just flashed the rom no gapps no kernel. And while setting up the device the screen just blacked out and system UI stopped working. Then I restored back to AEX

Did you wipe system/data/cache/dalvik? It sounds like you didn't do that.
fast charging doesn't work
Fantastic ROM just when I thought it would just be another AOSP based thing this truly feels Snappy and clean

if you read my repo
android_kernel_motorola_msm8952
U aren't allowed to use Alessa governor, Alessa hotplug,Alessa Thermal or XPerience governor without my consent, these was made for XPerience ROM only
so please in new builds remove alessa hotplug it is a special feature for my xperience rom. =)
thanks.
Hey @EsromG5,
Just a suggestion - maybe you could consider renaming thread from "Moto G 2016" to "Moto G4/G4 Plus / Athene" just to avoid confusion for new users
And a big thank you for reviving PureNexus for us!
@EsromG5 this build is amazing! Thank you for keeping it alive! Battery perf is great!

Good for you
But stock is stock... Zero features...
I'd say... The ROM has been amazing.. Thanks for it.. SOT is great... However, standby still has a lot of drain.. Don't know if that's normal.. :/
One question too... Is their a way to stop the equaliser in the ROM.. I use zplayer and it has inbuilt equaliser, bass booster and virtualizer.. Somehow this equaliser messes up the player and none of them works.. So I get stock sound with no effect... I have tried disabling it with the help of ROM toolbox lite... Cleared data and disabled and restarted phone... But no use at all... Can this be solved?
Thanks in advance...

You can use TB or Link2SD to freeze the Equaliser app if you want to.

Help!
Can someone explain me what's this? The build on the link given below is of 05 June 2017 and the latest build here seems to be of 04 June 2017 and that 05 June build is from a guy named eduardobastier. So, exactly how many people are working on this project?

Hi all, I'm a member of MaxiCM Team (The best team ) and today I present Citrus-CAF for athene!
This is a unofficial build of Citrus-CAF, I'm not responsable for bricked devices
If you liked my work please support it with press thanks :good:
About Project:
Citrus-CAF, unlike the name suggests, was initially based off CyanogenMod, in the early days of Marshmallow, we even had another name at that point. Later, taking into consideration feedbacks of the very first slew of testers and carefully studying the needs and demands of our users, we rebased the project to Code Aurora Sources, more commonly known as CAF. Time went by and Nougat released, and we decided that it was time, Citrus-CAF had to see the daylight. We rebased everything to the brank spanking Nougat released. Later we realized the true potential of CAF tags, how each of them altered the device performance on different SOCs. After a lot of thinking, we decided to keep different sources for difference SOCs in our git and hours of debugging later, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was the first device to get a taste of our Tangy Nougat. In the beginning, it was just two people behind , but in time, a lot of people joined us, as each giving their own contibutions.
Citrus-CAF was built to create an amazing combination of customization, performance and most of the demanded features by our users, whereas we've Cardinal, to deliver minimal customizations, but the greatest stability!
Meanwhile, all of our Tangy sources are publicly available on our Github. We also do own a Google+ Community, where you can.... uhm... you know, do what all others do at forums and communities! (Just kidding, we got builds over there and a feature-wish bucket too ) Hope you enjoy your stay and taste the Tanginess of our work!
Out of lemon, with love!
NOTE: There's nothing like, "we've decided to keep the customizations minimum, so as to provide stock AOSP experience, but with necessary features", cause this isn't Cardinal. This is Citrus

Root?
Sorry if I missed it somewhere in the OP... but if this is not pre-rooted, which Root method would you suggest is best? Magisk or SuperSU?
By the way, I have been using this today and it seems very stable and smooth. Thanks for your work! :good:

Please advise users what version of OpenGApps you recommend they use. I'm going to try Nano if they fit.
Nano doesn't fit, need to use Pico.
Been using this for several days now and even with Magisk, Xposed, and several other system hacks installed it is quite stable and boots up very quickly. Much more stable than a prvious 8.1 ROM I was using.

I cannot say it stable enough but I'm agreed, it boots so fast and never slow down even if the ram is in 200+ free.
Any of chance WireGuard support for this rom?
