Ressurection Remix and TWRP Problem - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Devices: OP3
TWRP: 3.1.0.0
Modem / Firmware: 4.1.1
Resurrection Remis: oneplus-unified-3-3T -> RR-N-v5.8.2-20170327-oneplus3-Official.zip
Open-Gapps: ARM64 7.1 pico
Format: ext4 / Userdata not encrypted and f2f2
-> it's was a Clean Install
Hello community,
I hope you can help me and have some ideas. Is not my first Custom install. on my OPO is mookey, htc mini two runs cm.........
Please excuse my bad english. I have already spent some time on the net with searches but nothing to my problem found.
My first problem is the following:
If I boot into the Recoverymodus boot (whether I copy there or what I do there) and then again the system, I have to reset everything and reinstall all apps. The OS is reset.
=> the same Problem with Linaege OS / Citrus CAF / FreedomOS... and TWRP 3.0.2.0 / 3.0.3 / 3.1.0.0
Boot in Recovery TWRP ...do nothing ... boot system and de OS ist reset and i make all setting new
My second problem is:
If I want to install in the substrate "Swift Black" then the screen will be black, the LED is white and the OP3 will be warm. Only by a very long press on the Powerbutton the OP3 goes again and runs as if nothing had been.
=> hmm i think this is a problem with Magisk and substratum.... LineageOS + SuperSU + Substratum + Swift Black = no problems
in german:
Hallo Gemeinde,
bitte entschuldigt mein schlechtes Englisch.

thanks for the help, i fixed the problem myself

What fixed it? I've seen issues on all ROMS with data wiping on the first boot of TWRP, but never seen it happen after the first. I was going to try RR now as I've had issues on all other AOSP ROMs, so it would be nice to know if I have the issue as well.
FYI I've had the fewest problems with eng.stk's TWRP, it's at 3.1 and it can be DLed from his blu_spark kernel thread.

You're right :good:. I think it was a problem with the TWRP 3.1.0.0 because with the "twrp-3.1.0-x_blu_spark_v24-op3_op3t.img" I have no problems . I boot from the OS to the recovery, from the recovery back to the OS and all the settings are still available.

It should work. It has worked for me. It has worked for the OP and others.
The common denominator in all your flashings is OpenGapps Pico. Perhaps flash another gapps package or re-download the same and try again. Does it happen in OOS?

At the CM7 Recovery is ON/OFF the Accept Button. Not the Home button!
That's what I'm doing. But no matter how often I format and reinstall it still comes back to the recovery everytime I click on reboot with the on/off switch of course.

Sure...u can Backup all your Data and Apps..
Then procceed like you are comming from a prev. Nex-S Version. If you get FCs, Bootloop or something similar, you must wipe your data also..
If you have wiped you data you can restore your Backup. Then you loose only the Widgets on your Homescreen
Guys, please
Which browser do you use with miui? Stock browser window switching is with invisible black text, and in this version is also broken google search. Imho maxton sucks. Thanks for advice.

[GUIDE] Complete Guide for NON-US XOOM (3G/GSM).

Last week I gave my iPad to my friend and went for my first Android experience. XOOM. I bought it from Axiom in Dubai. It was “International Retail” version.( H.6.1-38-9) . Stock 3.0.1
As I said, I had no experience in Android but XOOM lack of functionality and problems forced me to go for upgrading it.
I started my search about “What is ROOTing?”, “Idiot guide” , “ROOT for dummies” … but after a week of study and “try and error” , I have a XOOM with :
OS : HC 3.1
ROM : Tiamat 1.1 /1.4.5 (Newest version)
Recovery : Clockwork 3.2.0.0 (Newest version)
Radio : GSM Based 3G/Edge is working (with different SIM card)
SD : SD card fully functional
WiFi : NO problem at ALL ! no disconnection, no of any kind.
Here I want to share my knowledge with you, Thanks to XDA-Developer forum and its users.
Warning: Read your Motorola warranty card and if you decide to lose their support then do the Rooting/upgrading at your own risk. This is only for educational purposes.
Let's Start
1. Install SDK on your PC . Really easy.
-Put SDK path in your PC’s path . This is necessary for you if you want to use ADB commends anywhere in your PC: C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\tools\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_26\bin\;C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\
-See this as well : http://www.xda-developers.com/android/adb-easy-tutorial/
2. Get to know ADB / Fastboot command . with these:
- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=517874
- http://www.xoomforums.com/forum/motorola-xoom-hacking-guides/6795-basic-commands-newcomers-adb.html
3. Ok . Now you are ready for going for ROOT your device . by ROOT, you can have FULL access to your device file system.
-Read this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1049901 Very good help. Skip the last part about installing modules because you are going to install new one later.
After ROOT, there is an application named SUPERUSER on your XOOM. Just run it, if you see no errors, then you did your job correctly.
4. Ok. Now you should install RECOVERY . This is necessary for other steps. With it, you can install ROM and also get backup and use it in case of emergency!
-Read This : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1130996 (JUST go to step 4)
-Read and use this Recovery Image: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074979 (Use Method2)
- Test if you can go to Recovery screen . Go through menus.
- Make your SD card ready . 2GB is enough. Format it with your windows and in FAT32.
- Put it inside your XOOM , Go to Recovery , and get your first backup . Thn your are ready for next step
5. Ok . In this step we are going to install 3.1 on your XOOM !.
- Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089695
- The whole things is : Get some file from your XOOM – Keep them somewhere – Install regular 3.1 US version(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074609-In this STEP 4 is VERY important to do) – Push back your own files to the device. That’s it.
EDIT : (12 - JULY - 2011) - U can now install AU version instead of US version . Much easier and safer : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089695
- In every step you can get backup in your Recovery as well
6. Last Step . Install the latest Tiamat ROM .
- Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1146153
Enjoy your XOOM .

You have to pull those files after Root and before update to 3.1with ADB commands. The most important one is build.pro. If u have ur backups, restore ur phone to that stage, pull out the files and update again.
Attached u can find necessary files. These are for "International Retail Version". I've tested with 4 different SIM cards .

since you are german, how about the german simcard provider..

Hi,
new Version is ready for download. I will Upload it today and send a mail . ( Version, MK44.4-MATE7-20150309-HISTORY.zip)
#Changelog( Google Translate):
[15] March 10
Based on the latest version of CM11 glory 6 production (March 9 edition)
SD card fix (can not be read )
FC fixes this problem phone call records will occur over two
Shuisi try to fix the problem some users feedback, specifically whether a valid test
Note: The ROM does not support ART mode, so do not try to switch to ART
[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][4.4.4] CyanogenMod 11 for Mate 7 [MT7-L09 / MT7-L10

I have read, you have to fix sd card Problem in this rom and you have upload that !? I cant find the download....

Realy good news where you can make me happy is when you can integrate "AOSP settings" .
I realy happy for your rom and will spend you money via PayPal when your Rom is in Final status and i hope that all the other will do it too , too motivate other devs to spend Time in mate7.
I will sell my phone just before your rom is come out, from HTC and Samsung i see many devs there give use Kernels and roms, only mate not.
Realy big thanks for your nice Work, i cant tell you how you make me happy.
i wait for your upload, will you post it today !? Thanks
here is the SD Card Fix for this Rom :

Your data manager will now see your SD Card

MK44.4 going very well. Problems (NFC, scanners etc) do not run, but Rom has a lot of setting. Is highly recommended.

If you don't know how to return back to a working state if something is broken, please think twice before flashing this.
Everything seems to be working so far, if not, please report to me!
Warning: Make sure you make a backup of all your important data manually before flashing anything, making any backups or restoring. There seems to be an issue which causes a bootloop after restoring data partition at the moment.
I'm not responsible for any data loss, bricks, or whatever went wrong on your device. I can try to help you but I won't pay your RMA just because you decided to do this to your device.
Working
Everything except what's not working, see below
Not working / issues
Restoring data partition from backups will lead to boot issues on some ROMs (including OOS) if FBE-encrypted. It's not a TWRP issue but rather a side effect on how FBE works.
Download latest working image here (twrp-3.2.1-cheeseburger-127-20180106-190542-CET)
Download previous working image here (twrp-3.1.1-cheeseburger-84-20170820-194433-CEST)
While this TWRP is now very similar to codeworkx', it's a completely different source base and is independent from him.
This variant is a bit more bleeding edge and contains changes that are not available in TWRP images built from the official repositories.
If you want ultimate stability, consider using his TWRP instead.
Supported ROMs (encryption support):
OxygenOS 5.0.1
Android 8.1 ROMs (tested: halogenOS)
Please let me know in this thread whether it works for the ROM you are using.
Logs
Code:
adb pull /tmp/recovery.log
adb pull /cache/recovery/last_log
adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt
And send me the last_log file, recovery.log file as well as dmesg.txt

Hey,
Heads up, seems that TWRP is already made in China: https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...nlock-bootloader-intall-t3626122#post72778203
Btw, placeholders aren't a big thing in XDA

It's not open sourced, is it? And it's chinese.
I guess we want something working and open to anyone.
Of course this thread can be closed if anyone does it before me.

TWRP working, have make backup and all ok for now. Only can not dimming the light in twrp.
Just got my OP5, if you need to test something, i'm in.
Unlocked bootloader, all i need is to flash a working and trusted TWRP
I installed that TWRP and when I booted straight into it, it worked. Then I just tried to reboot to recovery again, and it looks like the old recovery patched itself?! TWRP was gone

The recovery is automatically recreated from the recovery-from-boot patch which resides in your system partition. That's default behavior on stock roms.
So how do I get TWRP to stick then?
TWRP für Oneplus 5
Hallo,

Alright, TWRP is working now, testing everything.

teamwin 3.3.1-0 stucks on boot

Hello xda-community,
i'm trying to root my xiaomi mi a2 device, using a tutorial on the*********** (link i maybe allowed to send later). I'm stucking now because after booting into twrp, installing it, format data partition and disable encryption (Andriod 9 - Pi), i can't boot back into twrp it simply stucks on splash screem. Device ist booting normaly to OS and i can do all the steps again with same result (tried it three times). Is something missing in this tutorial like wiping chach and userdata which leads to the stucking twrp?
also tried: booting into fastboot and formating cache and userdate -> still stucks on twrp
Hopefully someone can help me with this
Not all TWRPs work with all versions.
With stock 10.0.9.0 and 10.0.10.0 I have found 3.3.1-dees_troy to work well. It can see /data when booted and when installed. From here: https://dl.twrp.me/daisy/
For older versions I used 3.2.3 from the same link. It can't see data unless installed.
Other people recommend various -offain versions but I don't know if there's an official place to get them from. You'll need to search the forums.
OkI have to say this is just the second device i'm rooting. The first i made years ago (Samsung S2). So i have the question if daisy isn't the xiaomi mi a2 lite version? I use the jasmine version to ensure not braking the device. Hopefully that was the right decision.
[Edit1]Ok your advice to use the 3.2.3-0 version seems to aim at the right way [/Edit1]
[Edit2]Maybe a question for new Topic. Is it neccessary to lock the bootloader?[/Edit2]

Your first post says you have a Mi A2, your next post mentions Mi A2 lite, which is it?
Mi A2 (Daisy) is a mui OS phone, A2 Lite (Daisy_sprout) is Androidone. Jasmine is another device, different hardware.
You really need to do your research before diving in, you risk bricking your phone. There is all the information you need in these forums.
