whats this service - Lenovo P2 Questions & Answers

Anybody has any idea what this service is or what it is related to I want to turn it off because it is running all the time in background

Maybe the service for the lenovo experience improvement program. they collect data from you and the phone, to "increase" the user experience in future software updates. you can turn it off in settings - phone info. i think this service is related to it.

Thanks for pointing that out thing is I got it disabled all time and the service is still running shady stuff from lelnovo

Cannot signin to game..

Hello.
When i log in to Tower Defense (by Com2Us), my phone keeps signing in (loading). I can play the game as normal, but not sign in to the Com2Us network.. My password and username is correct, because i can log in to Slice IT (same developer, from the same phone). Login to towerdefence stopped working a few days ago. I re installed the game, and wiped the cache (normal and dalvik) of the phone, with no luck.
I tried to accounts at Com2Us, none of them can sign in if its the game Tower Defense, and they can both sign in in the other game (Slice It).
Im running a custom rom, i used this rom earlier, it worked on that rom - but with my current rom it does not work.. Im NOT sure its ROM-related..
Any suggestions or someone heard about this before? Im posting it here and not at the Com2Us support, because my account is okay, its from the game itself - and it worked earlier with the same account, as said.. And the account is not "broken". The second account i tried was freshly made, still no luck...
Kind Regards

As you are not having any problems with there other games I would suggest getting in contact with Com2Us. I can't think of any other reason it would not be working unless they are having some server issues as of late. Com2Us have a forum and customer support on there website http://global.com2us.com/.
Hello Meelelord.
Well, the game have worked before, on this phone, just never (i think) on this ROM.. Its been an issue a few days now, and signin on their website and other games works fine... I'll try their support, but i guess i shouldnt tell them my rom is custom..

If they are lazy, they could blame the ROM. If not, it could be useful diagnostic information.

If they have any common sense then they should realize that android is an open system which is worked on and altered by many developers. I am pretty sure they know this. Have you tried using another rom just for testing purposes?
Sv: Cannot signin to game..
The problem is not solved, but I use titanium backup now, to save app data and thus game progress.

Suspicious Activity - Huawei Mate 20 X

Hi,
I have noticed suspicious activity on my google account which shows the device is being used in somewhere in Europe. I changed my password and did a factory wipe on the phone but I still see same behavior on this device being simultaneously being used in Canada and Europe.
Has anyone noticed such behavior from the device and what's your advice on to fix/track the issue?
Thanks

No problems with mine but I do have two step verification enabled with google - not known if that makes any difference.
I also have the two step verification enabled and didn't get notified by google that my phone was being used in Europe as the same time it was being used in Canada.
I did change my google account passwords but still the same issue.
Post which retailers you got them from if you are having this issue. There may be a common theme ....

Mine was also from Splendor, but I have checked my google connected devices and where they are connected from and have 2 step verification on. My phone is not mysteriously connected elsewhere. I would start looking at 3rd party apps that you guys might have installed.

wipe the phone mught not be enough, if somehow the seller unlocked, flashed it, and lock the bootloader, the only way to get it clean is doing the same thing: unlocking bootloader and flashing the factory image. that's what i would do, and that's what i always end up doing to root the phone

Qualcomm Location Service?

I have a location service always running even with gps off, it seems to be qualcomm izat (com.qualcomm.location), but in settings I cannot disable it. It consumes 200mb of ram, and a lot of battery, is it any way to turn it off? stoping it just don´t affect it.

yes, miui, not unlocked
I'm lazy to write, so read this, this, and this.
The service is running even with the location disabled because Miui starts the service again every time you kill it (You can check that with the logs) , you know, Xiaomi does weird things to get more info.

so, is there any way of turn it off? it´s supposed to be an option in the settings, but I don´t see it. And what happens if I remove it with adb? I don´t use any location service in my phone and I don´t wanta service that I don´t use always running in background.

UI 2.5 bricked my Note 10+

I downloaded the September security patch and UI 2.5 update over the air for my Verizon Note 10+ the other day. Since then, my cell service is non existent. I can't make any calls or use any data, it only works using wifi. The signal bars are grayed out, or sometimes have an "x" next to them. The airplane mode is not on, but the airplane mode icon is a shade of light blue rather than being either gray for off or blue for on. I tried chatting with VZ since it was after hours....that didn't help. They had my fiddle with resetting network settings and doing a factory reset, neither worked. I've taken the sim out and reinserted, no luck. If not on wifi, SIM status says network = not available, mobile network state = disconnected, service state = radio off, IMS registration status = off. It's a non rooted virgin VZ Note 10+, SM-N975U, not 5G, running android 10.
Today I went to an authorized VZ store, who replaced the SIM. Didn't change a thing. They suggested I go to an actual VZ store, which I would have but couldn't look up on web without a signal. They directed me to one who swapped the SIM again and had me do another reset. No luck. They popped the SIM in another phone and it worked, just no luck in my phone.
VZ tech coaches said I was on my own and to reach out to Samsung or Google because it must be a hardware issue. How does a software update cause a hardware problem? They had no response.
Anyone have any ideas?
Make sure everything you want is backed up...
Try resetting network settings and clearing the system cache on the boot menu.
If that doesn't work, try a hard boot.
You can also try uninstalling the last update if it permits to go back to the factory load version.
Last if that fails, hard reset.
If that don't get it it will need to be reflashed...

Thanks, I've tried all of the above except the uninstall (which I don't believe it will allow) and the reflash. I haven't installed a ROM or anything like that since the HTC Touch days. Ha. So, I need to find a copy of VZ firmware or factory ROM? #Noob

If it's still under warranty let Samsung do it. In the US they have centers as well at Best Buys.
See what your bloody carrier says
That sucks.
If you bought through a carrier, don't you get a couple years warranty?
The Note 10 series has only been out just over a year so they should honour any warranty...

I got it the first day it came out, so JUST over a year. No more warranty. I also cheaped out on the VZ insurance since I baby my phones. The thing is pristine kit and would want insurance for loss, theft or droppage, not because a factory update bricked it.
:crying:
Reflashed to an earlier version from a month ago from sammobile....still no data.
Connections>mobile data>access point names
Is that configured?

There are deeper settings but that's as much as I know.
I think it's a settings or firmware issue not blown hardware.
Someone here can help you... be patient.

Thanks for the encouragement and advise. I still owe $500 on this $1,000+ phone, so it's just frustrating.
Access point name was not selected (radio button was not selected). I selected the only option "Verizon Internet/VZWINTERNET"
SIM card status says signal is -113dBm 0 asu, network not available, radio off, mobile network state disconnected

No, I don't think so. The "Add" Access Point Names is grayed out. It will only allow me to change the APN name for the existing APN, not any of the other settings mentioned in the link.

So you do have leverage with Verizon; make them own* it if possible.
Not sure how Verizon tech support is structured but ask for advanced tech support. Escalate the case if need be. Keep calling back if the reps don't know what to do until you find the smart ones.
Try their customer retainment group if all else fails, they are the ones that make the last ditch effort by the carrier to try to keep you from leaving.
A samsung Experience center might be your best bet as they can do advanced diagnostics... or so they've claimed. Never used these myself.
Their phone tech support is horrible; the US Samsung group are the best of this lot.
*Doesn't always work but many times I've gotten AT&T and Verizon (landline) to remedy situations. There been times where it took dozens of calls to find the right person and for them to feel my motivation, lol.
There's more than one way to hack...
I had the same problem as you after the update and after playing in the settings it turned out that the set data limit was turned on, I turned that off and my data is working again. Look under the data usage and see if that's it for you.

After the last few factory resets, I did get warnings from the "setup wizard" about data being limited due to time of day or a data limit....but the data limit and/or warnings are not on. The phone won't even activate, yet somehow Google recognizes the phone number and all during install. So, I'd think it could read the SIM.
Found some very helpful reps at a local Verizon store. While they couldn't fix the phone, I will allegedly receive a refurbed unit tomorrow with no deductible.

What about time settings? Are they correct?
>It be preferable to keep this unit if you took great care of it, many don't!<
A Samsung Experience center has advanced diagnostic capabilities (allegedly) and/or could reflash it.
I think it's either a settings or firmware issue not hardware.
Play with it, Android's love attention... or get it more surrogate wuv before you give up on it.
Be patient there's a lot of talent here.

Note 10+, user certificates and package disabler

Alright, I'm in that nice panic stage where you've learned enough to scare yourself but don't know enough to reassure yourself.
Had a factory reset recently, seems likely it was due to 3rd party lock/wipe app i triggered while dealing with my dog. (But not 100% sure there was a drop just prior and I've had stability issues since school has required me add a work profile but, of course tech support for both Microsoft and my school have zero response to inquiries)
Any way, user certificates now has two:
FindMyMobile
AttestationKey_com_wssyncmldm
And I have no idea how to verify those in any way. Its quite possible isn't it that an app could have actually installed them right?
Findmymobile, obviously is such a cert, allowing for find my mobile. It has a key a CA cert and user cert.
AttestationKey_com_wssyncmldm
Has a user key and user cert
I would say it's the school/work profile. Microsoft InTune is for enterprise IT management. If your school's IT managers don't know how to configure it, it can screw things up for everyone.
Try deleting your school profile and see what happens.
My company recently migrated from Google to Microsoft services and when I added my company as a work profile, my phone started acting wonky.
Sent from my SM-N976V using Tapatalk
I would reload and not put the crapware back on it.
It's your phone... my favorite word is No!
I have zero faith in the new MS; don't run any of their cloud junk on my 10+ and never will.
Find my device is normally present. You can disable it as a device administrator in advanced security settings.
It will auto enable on reboot or sometimes when you go to Playstore.

Find my mobile is for find my mobile being active when you have a VPN that may block it.
The other I still don't know but may be Knox related under same circumstances.
Thank you, @blackhawk and @HungryRobotics
I had a similar guess, that findmymobile was the Samsung service. Since I was using a VPN-based ad block (Adguard), it makes sense that it appeared there.
As for the other one (AttestationKey_com_wssyncmldm), I'm still not sure, but I wonder if it was for the Link to PC service.
It's alarming to find anything in User Certificates, honestly, and there seems no way to get information that they are legit. My hope is that it is only the system apps that can install certificates without user intervention.

wssyncmldm is the infamous AT&T updater usually listed as in my previous screen shot.
Seems it might have something to do with this.
My guess is it has to do with setting up the work profile.
If it was there on the AT&T stock rom, after a factory reset it should be ok.
Maybe check with AT&T.

It's strange, I can find nothing online about common entries in User Certificates on Android. My thought is that they get generated when VPN is used, such as AdGuard.
Thanks for the Private DNS tip for ad blocking. In the meantime, I have been using Disconnect Pro (based on Knox).
