Link Xbox One S (bluetooth) Controller with Fire TV - Fire TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
is there a way to link an Xbox One S bluetooth Controller with the Fire TV (Gen 1)?
It did work for me one time and after a reboot never again.

[Q] Wired Xbox 360 controller issues

I have recently purchased an Amazon Fire TV Box. I have side loaded emulators and games and want to use an old wired xbox 360 controller that I had laying around. From what I read I should just be able to plug & play. It won't work. The lights continueally flash on the controller but nothing else happenes. I really don't want to fork out for a Fire TV games controller as from what I hear they aren't all that good.
Any help would be great.

Have you tried the controller on your computer? Maybe its broken.
I've hooked up 2 of the XBox 360 Controllers with a USB hub to my FTV and they work perfectly.
For what it's worth my 2 wired third party xbox 360 controllers don't seem to work properly. The L / R triggers don't register on the fire TV.
Managed to get it sorted. Controller was faulty. Tried another and all good.

Fire TV Stick and Bluetooth mouse

I have 2 Fire Sticks. Neither will discover either a Microsoft Arc Touch BT mouse nor a Logitech MX Anywhere Mouse 2 in Bluetooth mode. Fire OS v. 5.2.1.2
Both mice happily pair with my brand new Fire TV (non-stick.) Fire OS 5.2.4.0
Can anyone suggest a fix? Thanks in advance.
Or, what Bluetooth mouse has anyone successfully paired a Fire Stick?
Wow, 99 views and no replies. How sad. Maybe I shall try resetting the Fire Stick to factory and see what happens. Or I wonder if this would do better in Q&A? I didn't see that at first.
I have put different files (such a roms) on several friends and family's fire sticks (gen 1 and 2) and this mouse has always paired for me.

An alternative is to use the "Mouse Toggle" app, works really well.

I bought this bluetooth mouse / keyboard / trackpad from Amazon and it works fine but you will need to also use a mouse toggle app (loads of video tutorials on YT about this) to get full functionality.
I followed this video and it worked for me first time. Interestingly, the cursor popped up on screen before I'd even finished all the steps - no idea why or how, but delighted!
I have an expensive Logitech M720 multi-device bluetooth mouse I just purchased that won't pair with my 2nd generation firestick. Bummer.

I just bought this on your recommendation for my 2nd generation FireTV stick. I deeply regret buying the Logitech M720 bluetooth mouse due to its low, non-adjustable DPI and no FireTV stick support. What was I thinking? What a waste of money.
Thanks for your post.

Fire TV 3 - Recommended Game Controllers

Currently running latest rev of Fire TV 4K. Trying to find a controller that doesn't have issues.
Tried using my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller but it does not work properly. Will connect but can't pair properly.
Can anyone with first hand experience recommend a controller that works well with the Fire TV 3? Using it for Steam Link, which works great if I just had a controller - Thanks!
If anyone else was curious, Xbox wireless controller with current firmware runs excellent on the Fire TV 4K. Used Moonlight to play Destiny 2 from my PC to my Fire TV yesterday for a couple of hours without a single hitch. PC is connected via LAN, Fire TV via AC.
Did notice emulation issues if Steam is running when trying to play Destiny 2 via Moonlight. Recommend closing steam using Moonlight mouse emulation if you plan to play Destiny 2 without a hitch.

Fire tv voice remote version 1 shield tv help

hi ,
I have got the fire tv version 1 remote with voice, when I try to connect this to my shield tv as a Bluetooth accessory it shows in the accessory but It fails to connect to the fire tv remote.
I keep pressing the home button on the ftv remote for it to go in to pairing mode,
I have tried the shield accessories as well but I think the fire tv remote is only Bluetooth.
has anyone set up a ftv remote verison 1 with voice to work with the shield tv and how.
