Camera not working

You should update your thread title saying which version of Lineage you use.
I have the problem that the video recording is not working (normal photo option works though) with "lineage-14.1-20170406-nightly-nicki-signed"

Same thing with me too. camera for photo working but for video not working.

Have you found a solution to this problem? For me also I can take pictures, but video recording does not work.

Yes, it's a known bug. You can solve it: Install OpenCamera (from FDroid) and use it instead of the pre-installed camera app.

Youtube Premium PiP not working

Hi guys,
it's been 2 weeks i bought the phone, i'm on latest global stable (miui 9) and since the begining th PiP mode of Youtube Premium is not working.
The background playback is working but no Pip. I've also tried installing Vanced YT app and no PiP too.
The Pip is working well with Maps or Twitch.
Am i the only one with this bug ?
Did someone knows how to fix this ?

Exactly the same here

It is unfortunately a problem with MIUI. PIP does work, but on certain combinations, like if you're watching youtube and you go to setting from status bar. it may work then.

Slight Problem
The PiP does not work when you directly go to home from youtube. It works when you open any app form the status bar

ok so it works with the weather notification from Google Assistant, it opens google assistant and trigger youtube pip but it does not work with settings..
It's a workaround i can live with but i does not always have a notification to click on ^^

for Xiaomi devices there is only audio no video in PiP
but no issue with OnePlus. According o my views

Hei guys! Still no luck? Witch workaround are you using for these... Tried does told with no luck!

Tried everything here with several apps with notification but nothing. Only Google maps pip works

As i said, the weather motification from google assitant is working for me. Some people are reporting "better pip" in the new update maybe some progress to hop with youtube

Hi mate! Hope so! Is the only thing holding back my will to jump to resurrection remix
Sorry to ask this big noob question, but in my old phone I never used Google assistant, so I have no clube how to acess weather notification while using YouTube. Can you give a tip?
Edit: know what you are talking about.. Im trying now tô activate my weather notification, but with no luck só far :[

Yes me too don't know how to enable the Google weather notification. If I do nothing happens because where I live in Thailand it's the same weather every day for the last 159 years

Since i installed 9.6.3 update and the latest youtube vanced , everything is working now. Very pleased.

Its only working on miui when lunch clock from status bar.. This is know compatability issue with mini

goto uptoDown.com and download/install OGYoutube
and it works just fine!

Disable the fullscreen gestures and it will work. It doesn't work for me either with fullscreen gestures, but it does with the normal functional bar

Goto settings>>additional settings>>privacy>>picture in picture then turn on for youtube .
It works fine
Or just type picture in search bar settings menu

Picture in Picture Not Working

Hey at all!
I just received my new mi 9 se. Nothing flashed yet.
I just don't get picture in picture working which I am using a lot on other phone like my pixel. This is my first miui phone or xiaomi, so maybe I am missing something.
I tested YouTube and chrome app so far.
- pip is enabled in miui settings for all the apps
- tried turning off full screen mode
- full screen gestures are turned off
Google can't give me any more clues.
Is pip working for you on standard mi 9 se?
Any proposal for me?

I got it to work with chrome ... Only works when picture is in full screen... Netflix also works, still no YouTube
Any idea?

PiP of YouTube only works for YouTube Premium users, you can use YouTube Vanced instead, works like a charm there.

Has anybody tried this ROM ? Is there the same problem with sending videos via Whatsapp ? Has it FM Radio native app inside ?

As I see in the youtube video it has FM radio. And sending own recorded videos via whatsapp should be possible. Nobody wants to flash this ROM ? Maybe it is better than Lineage 17.

Are you still wonder if you install or not? Yes, I tried and now set this ROM as my daily driver for nora. FM radio works perfect. So far I do not find any issue. I first tried LOS17.1, then RR. By some reason (I still do not understand why) I had internet connection problem with RR. As far as I tested (actually I am not a heavy user, I do not play any game on it), no issue for this ROM. Highly recommended!

Installed it today...great !!!!

Question: how to activate notification badges in the icons ? If I get new E-Mails or Messages, the icon doesn't change. > problem solved. Press on the display and hold >Settings > Symbols > App-Notifications On

I found a video camera working recording videos. Try the Flipcam app. It records perfect.

XT1944-4 user. Touch is dead after flashing.
How should I proceed?

Found a better camera app: footej cam app. Search the internet for apk and install it. It has better video quality than flipcam app. I use this camera now for both, videos and photos.

These roms bring this phone so much life!!

Question Can anyone try to duplicate this crash?

I've had my phone since April and have had two crashes since. Both have been under the exact same conditions.
Android 12
Netflix in floating pip mode
Nova Launcher
Opening YouTube video through Chrome
Before video opens in Youtube - Reboot

I would try it, but I don't use Netflix. Hopefully someone comes along who does.

Nope, working fine on my end. Downloaded nova and Netflix just to test it for you. No crashes here.

Thanks man. Yea I can't get it to duplicate again but those have been the only two crashes I've had
