Instructions:
Starting with r14, new installation process has been simplified. If you are coming from a different rom, do this:
1. Flash release 11 clean, reboot (don't bother with Gapps or Magisk, you don't need them here) and let system run for a few minutes; then flash the latest release dirty; flash Gapps
2. Reboot and finally flash Magisk or Supersu
3. If you don't get setup wizard on some versions of Gapps, just create or login into your Google account
4. Enjoy the rom, say thank you or donate
Rom has a script that gets initiated in ramdisk that cuts off the internet until you install and enable Afwall. This is done to prevent data leaks and battery waste, as literally every system and data app connects to the Internet. You should only allow to connect the apps you need, like messengers, browsers etc. However, this script is optional and could flashed separately for extra protection, but out of the box, you will have no problem connecting..

Accessibility feature: it works, as intended, i.e. large font and other features for vision/hearing impaired. However, granting accessibility to apps to access passwords and other data has been restricted, as have already been discussed. Jaguar has modified bionic to prevent 3rd party apps from using Android native libraries to grab data. So, if you enable accessibility for ANY app, even if it is a good one, some rogue apps, such as all Gapps, Facebook and similar ones won't work. So, if you don't want crashes, don't grant accessibility permissions
F2FS support is REMOVED, as it is unstable file system. So, if you have any of your partitions on this, you won't boot
Apps that require special permissions (install button is greyed) require pressing power button once to lock and another one to unlock to install

June 22. Release 10
1. Encryption is fully working and data could be decrypted/mounted with the official TWRP
2. Up to date AOSP/Slim commits
This could be flashed on top of release 9.
Instructions to encrypt:
The best way is to do it over adb, otherwise, you will have the same password for boot and lockscreen. Here is what I did:
1. Flash the rom, flash Gapps, reboot and then back to TWRP to flash Magisk
2. Reboot, remove screen pin; enable adb; connect to computer
3. On computer: type adb shell; then type su and give root to shell on the phone
4. On computer type: vdc cryptfs enablecrypto inplace password "your actual boot password without quotes" Don't type the words actual password, but rather the password you choose
The phone will start encrypting. Once done, you will get (this time without delay) a password prompt and keyboard. Enter your boot password.
5. Once fully booted, set your pin/password/pattern This way you will have a shorter entry for screen and longer for boot
6. After that you would have to reflash Magisk, because encryption will unroot you. If you can't decrypt via official TWRP (which I tried and it works), just side load Magisk
Download r10: https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=25312
Webview Warning on r10: apparently after recent changes in android gerrit, older stock webview no longer works resulting in crashes of apps such as gmail, sms messenger and various web browsers. So, before flashing, download google webview from here http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/android-system-webview/android-system-webview-59-0-3071-92-release/android-system-webview-59-0-3071-92-2-android-apk-download/ put it on your SD card and install as a regular app after flashing Jaguar.

June 16: Release 9.2.
Slim Theme Manager removed
The rom boots fine without Magisk on clean install and with Magisk 12. So, if you have bootloops, it is Magisk 13 beta that is causing it. It also boots fine if flashed dirty
Remember, if you use Gapps, flash them right after the rom, then reboot, then back to TWRP and flash Magisk. You will also need to install Magisk Manager from XDA
Download r9.2: https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=25220
__________________________________________________________________________________
June 10. Release 9.1 removed, because XDA considers Slim Theme Engine warez. Go figure?!
Everything is fixed. This release could be flashed either clean or dirty
1. Slimrom's own Theme Engine, which should work with substratum themes
2. Notification sound panel f/c when set to vibrate fixed
3. Show network operator on status bar toggle (in Settings/Display)
4. June security patches

6. No delay in home button actions
Although, you can flash dirty, but because of 03 flag and rebuilding of the entire rom, I recommend clean flash

I am going to skip r28 and do 7.1.2 later...

This looks sooooo interesting! Will try this asap, it's good to see some good development around... I'm gonna give you feedback when as soon as i can (ps: this is the "Z2" that Sony should have made) Keep it up!

Format invalid kernel file

Thanks for the nice ROM. One small query, does VoLTE work on this ROM?

I don't think you're supposed to flash those. Unzip in Android with a file manager and install as apk's.
That's just how i read it i haven't tried this rom yet.

It says in the op for Afwall and KernelAdiutor: unzip the file and install as normal apps

I can't check with my carrier, but it should work...

One user from Europe Lenovo fans forum has reported that when he tried to access Settings/Date and Time, the Settings app would crash. I have confirmed the bug. It is interesting that this bug was introduced by one of CM's many stupid commits. And everyone else just copied and pasted from CM. But because nobody goes there, as time is set by default from your carrier, no one noticed. Here is the fix. Just flash the linked zip in TWRP and reboot.

Can the LED be deactivated while charging?
Android-system crashes when long touch on homescreen > backgrounds.
Settings crashes

the ROM is fast, but you can not use it ..processi system with continuous crash
Android system crash
setting crash
timekeeper crash and other..
I also noticed excessive heating always on the 34-37° - it is bad for the battery
which recommended gapps? (open / dynamic)

Are you sure you flashed Jaguar? I noticed you tried to flash Afwall and KernelAdiutor in TWRP, while they are just apps for normal install. Did you format data partition before flashing the rom? Or maybe you installed some bad app?
I have had the ROM for several days - not a single crash.
And by the way, 34-37 degrees is by no means overheating: it is normal operating temperature.

Have you applied the patch I posted yesterday? I have just long pressed on home screen about 10 times - not a single crash. Are you using a different kernel? Bad idea, as you will loose magisk and get into multiple troubles.
And you can't deactivate led, but it turns off on full charge...

No different kernel simply clean flash. Doesnt made an logcat sorry. Yes flashed the everything, first rom, gapps, afwall and kernel adiutor and the time fix.
What I noticed is that the extra features from you, like virtual buttons, kernels, native screen colors and all these things are on different places and not easy to find without to go through everything. Little bit confusing.
Maybe it can be bundled on one place
But really fast and smooth rom :good::good:

Performed a new clean flash, Android system crashes when you try to make operations (example: virustotal scanning from "Chrome app" when choosing file .."system android" crashes --- "Alto Mail", open the app link "android system" crash)
another note,, "keychain" is often interrupted
I hope there is a fix for these bugs, the rom flowing smooth and it is a pity:good: -- thanks for the work

So, the crashes you have have nothing to do with the rom, but rather third party apps and they want too much access to the system, which they are not given, which is good. I personally would not use anything coming from AOL. RE: viruses. All those 'virus' protection apps are nothing but hoaxes. They don't protect you at all, they scan and most of the time also try to collect info about you for advertising purposes. And I bet on Jaguar when they try to do that, they get a long third finger...
If you still want fixes, you need to provide logcat when there is a crash with Alta mail or virustotal (note that their website says they don't provide protection, just scanning)...
EDIT: Go to AppOpps and check permissions for those 2 apps: grant everything if you are OK with them collecting everything about you...

It screenshots and for this reason I can not load them .. The same happens with the xda app .. but I think in general when you try to upload some files ..the android system arrest

Then after another 4 seconds it will automatically boot and vibrate and everything is 100% normal.. It only happens that one time on a new Rom install with SuperSU.

= Pull-Down Notification Panel > GPS (Device Only) changed to disabled.
= App Drawer > Google > 3-Lines > Settings > Now Cards > Turn OFF
= App Drawer > Google > 3-Lines > Settings > Voice > OK GOOGLE Detection > Turn OFF
* You should setup SuperSU first thing.
= Go to Settings > Optimized CM Settings > Developer Options > Root Access > Turn ON (enable) 'APPS and ADB'.
= Install SuperSU by Chainfire from the Play Store and Update Binaries. (See SuperSU notes below)
= Enjoy!
* SuperSU Notes: A basic Superuser is pre-installed with this Rom (called 'Privacy Guard)'. It does Not give you any control. You will be able to use the traditional SuperSU from the Play Store (updating the SuperSU binaries will be Successful). After you have updated the binaries it will work great with our phones. SuperSU Pro Key can be installed from the Play Store. BUSYBOX SHOULD NOT BE INSTALLED. ITS ALREADY PRE-BUILT INTO THIS ROM.
When Privacy Guard prompts you in SuperSU for access, click 'Remember my choice' and hit 'ALLOW'.
You will never be prompted like this again. SuperSU will now take over control.

Tricks and Tips of this ROM
STweaks shows "no kernel support", what to do? Go in Developer options and enable root.
ADB logcat is disabled by default.Run STweaks,go to OTHER tab and enable it
If you issue microphone volume problems-> Look here
Get the benefits of F2FS(Speed!)
Using F2FS
What it is? Wikipedia
To use it you should first convert your EXT4 partitions through recovery, before installing this ROM.
On TWRP:
Download and install TWRP from post #1
Wipe->advanced wipe
Select cache->change or repair file system->f2fs
Select data->change or repair file system->f2fs (Warning: internal storage is formatted, make a backup of your personal data before doing this!)
About Logs/LogCat
Logcat is disabled by default.
Why?
Less battery consumption
Less CPU Load
How to enable it:
Run STweaks
Swipe to right side/menu and reach the one called "OTHER"
Enable logcat from there
Reboot to make it happen
About GAPPS
sjamie said:
GApps & Google Search Clarification: The test team has determined most GApps packages trigger the dreaded "Unfortunately, Bluetooth Share has stopped" error message (BSE). The problem seems to stem from the bundled Google Search app. If you use OpenGapps (pico) and simply download the Google Search app from the Play Store, you should be error-free and you can use all of Google's features (ie. OK Google, Google Search, Google Now, etc.).
Bottom line: You will have many less problems if you use OpenGapps (pico). It was just discovered that there seems to be a problem with the 6/18 version which may not allow you to download apps from the Play Store resulting in Error DF-DLA-15. To avoid the possibility of getting this error, use an older version of pico gapps like 6/17 which works flawlessly.

My old STweaks profile:
Governor: interactive for all CPUs
min CPU frequency = 1 scale before max.
ZRAM disabled
GPU performance governor.
Antutu benchmark score 40500.Lost 1% of battery after 2 hours of sleep device. No hotness while antutu was running.
i dont care for battery life.
PS.i also use f2fs
My latest STweaks profile to attachments
To install it,paste it to internal storage, select 'default profile' at stweaks if u changed it.
if not, then simply press IMPORT from the most-right menu.Reboot after import just to be sure

Battery save Corner
I personally have disabled:
NFC
battery and notification light
Display music visualizer
any kind of gesture
Went to settings/memory/apps started on boot and disabled useless apps i dont need to boot
and disabled KEEP AWAKE too.
locations/settings/bluetooth scanning disabled
locations disabled
backup and reset/disable automatic restore
backup my data disabled
RILJ Work-around
Some infos about RILJ wakelock.
RILJ is the background process that is functioning the phone signal/location etc.if you got drain that maybe means
you got wrong baseband/modem/ril.PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THIS AND USE THE CORRECT ONE
you got a full pack of gapps.if yes, please disable the 'news and weather' app.
the quickly change of signal's strength will always keep rilj busy.
Try some things like:
Use Wakelock Terminator to block the wakelock of RILJ.
and
1. Turn on airplane mode
2. Turn off the phone and pull out the battery for a couple of minutes (~2 minutes)
3. Put the battery on then turn on the phone
4. After it booted, turn off the airplane mode..
About the touch screen bug on SOME devicesFor the minority of users who got issues with touch screen after sleep, please use the stock kernel from nightlies until i will be able to fix it .
Here is how to
About donationsI do accept donations .

Gaming performance can be changed.Kernel is so flexible through STweaks app ,so i believe u wont have issue on it
Personally when i want play games,i use the Performance profile of STweaks ....
battery life ?
I would answer the same.According to what u do u can use the STweaks profile.
i use extreme battery profile and i got epic battery life + normal performance for daily use.
Ok thanks for your reply, i will flash it tomorrow

Just installed the rom! It looks good so far except one issue. I have no Data =\. I can't even change from LTE to 3G to 2G at all. Actually there are no APN available for my carrier lol. im gonna manually add them and see how it goes.
I have I337M model and i am using 5.0.1 OH1 modem and bootloader.
So I manually added the LTE apn. Rebooted my phone and then i got following:
"android.phone" crashed. I opened settings and it took 30 seconds to load. Also, now it says there is no sim card inserted when there is =\. This happened after I entered APN settings manually.

Reporting bugs
Proper reporting of issues will help me spend time productively fixing bugs rather than tail chasing vague issues.
Please follow these guidelines.
Reporting bugs
If you wish to report an issue, then the onus is on you to prove the issue.
If you provide exact replication instructions, an idea of how often the issue occurs and logs that enable me to replicate the issue then a fix will be possible ("if you do action 1 then action 2 then action 3 you will find that bug X occurs 100% of the time").
If you give a vague complaint about an issue then I will not look at it without explicit replication instructions and preferably logs ("phone overheats when using CallOfDirty") .
Issues about overheating, battery life or performance should be backed up with information from relevant monitoring apps.
One-off issues generally do not get investigated unless they are well documented and have provided logs.
Issues that are specific to one piece of software will generally not get investigated without logs. I am not very keen on installing software to investigate bugs, especially if I need to create user accounts. If you can replicate the issue on more than one piece of software it will increase the chance of being fixed.
Issues to do with speaker or microphone related issues need to be explicit about which speaker and mic is in use (internal, head phones, earphones, bluetooth headset, Bluetooth speakers), whether normal earpiece or hands free mode is in use, Audio mods that have been installed. Logs may be helpful too.
Issues with media / streaming / playback should be provided with examples.
A picture is worth a thousand words; a movie is thousands of pictures. If you cannot describe your problem in words, post pictures or movies to help show your issue. The rom has in-built screen capture and screen recording tools, so please use them.
It can often be difficult to tell what is going on with logs from a fully loaded system. It can help a lot if you make a nandroid of your current system, format and then make a clean install, with gapps only if needed, and only the app that causes the issue - as minimal a system for replication as possible - then replicate the bug and capture logs. If I then have to replicate the issue I can easily replicate your system.
If you want to send a full set of logs for a bug, I recommend using Syslog.
Perform some of the functionality that is bugged and then capture logs in the app.
If you have had a reboot then capture a set of logs immediately when the system reboots. If the last-kmsg file is empty then the logs are useless.
Type a brief description of the problem in the notes field and your XDA username .
Select to scrub personal information.
Upload it to a web based host (gdrive, dropbox, etc.) and PM the link to me.
And remember:
The Drill .... settings > configurations > about > the drill > logcat or GTFO
Hints, tips & FAQs
RR is a very feature laden rom. Don't go mad and switch everything on when you first boot. Concentrate on a feature and see how you like it. Blur for example can take a lot of tuning to look right.
- If something does not run go into Settings > Privacy > Privacy Guard and check settings.
- To enable root go to Magisk Manager.
- Use Open Gapps for your Google apps. You can either use the smallest version you can get away with (recommended Pico or Nano) or use a larger version in combination with a gapps-config file, see post #7.
- Most issues / caveats for CM14.1 / LOS will apply for this rom!
- Long boot times on 2nd and subsequent boots? Go into Settings > Privacy > Privacy Guard > Advanced > Bootup and disable startup on apps that don't need started on every boot.
- After flashing in TWRP you may see two messages saying "E:unknown command" - this can happen on all CM14.1 based roms and is nothing to worry about.
Q. Does xposed....
A. There are now versions of Xposed which run on Nougat. However Xposed WILL NOT BE SUPPORTED AT ALL. You will be on your own. Do not report bugs. Logs that show Xposed use will be ignored.
Q. The install button does not work when I want to install an app, usually a non market side-loaded app?
A. Stop / disable the application running that is using a screen overlay.
Q. Does OTA work?
A. Yes. It checks to see if a new version has been published and alerts you. Links are provided in the OTA app for direct downloads. The rom will still need to be flashed manually as normal.
Q. Why is there now a Magisk and a Rootless build?
A. The work on this Nougat RR rom is nearly finished. I am now giving the user the option of selecting to install a root of their choice, or go with the current Magisk. Once I have finished releasing builds the Rootless version will allow you to install the latest Magisk version of the day rather than an old obsolete version that will need updated once the rom is installed. Running the rom without any root applied is also a viable option.
Q. What theme engine is integrated?
A. Full OMS7 support has been implemented from version 12 onwards, so Substratum can be installed from the play store if you wish to theme the rom.
Q. Can I use an alternate kernel?
A. You may be able to use other kernels. Use Flashify to flash them or extract the boot.img and flash as img from TWRP. Do not wipe kernel / dalvik if only flashing a kernel. SideCore looks to be a promising alternative. Buffcore FYI is now very closely related to SideCore and for most uses you will notice no difference between the two.
Q. I would like louder / better quality sound.
A. You could us the latest mod by A.R.I.S.E. - ARISE+Magnum+Opus+20180105+Stock+Edition.zip from here. See advanced post #7 for more on Arise. I no longer use Arise as I find the available Magisk mods to be less bloated and better performing. From Magisk downloads I recommend installing "Ainur Sauron", "Viper4Android FA by Ahrion" and "Audio Modification Library".
Q. Can I replace the weather provider?
A. Go to settings > apps > configure apps > weather. Add weather provider takes you to the playstore. Download Yahoo weather provider. Back to weather and enable Yahoo weather provider.
Q. Can I mirror the rom on a different provider?
A. NO! only want the rom served from AFH and Sourceforge so I can monitor downloads. NO mirroring is permitted. Downloads from other providers will not be supported.
Q. Can you make an i9515 (or other variant) build too?
A. Sorry but I am not going to make another blind build, too much grief and hassle.
Q. My screen goes black when making or receiving a call and does not return?
A. You probably need to clean and / or re-calibrate your proximity sensor. See here.

Advanced
Magisk:
From version 37 I don't include Magisk, it's up to you to choose your root solution.
Recommended: enable Magisk hide for Google play store and Google services framework (if using substratum also hide overlays for GPS & GSF - thanks Catscratch).
Recommended: disable busy box and host hiding.
Recommended: ensure you are certified in Google play store.
Recommended: only enable Magisk Hide when you are actually trying to hide something, may have caused root disapearing bugs.
If you want to play Mario run, you need both Magisk Hide enabled and Magisk Manager hidden.
If you have Magisk problems refer to the Magisk support thread here.
Good thread of hints and tips for Magisk by Didgeridoohan here.
Debug options esp. ADB over USB should be disabled if you are trying to get a safetynet pass.If you need busybox, the Stericson version from playstore works fine.
Adaway 3.2 is the recommended host filtering solution.
Rootless:
From version 37 I only distribute the Rootless version.
Rootless is intended to allow the user to choose which root solution to apply.
This will be especially useful in future when Magisk 14.5 is no longer current.
The rom should even be useable without any root applied.
Google play store certification:
If you find protected applications not appearing when expected in play store, check in the settings to see the certification state. When uncertified, apps like Mario run will not show up.
To force certified, stop the play store and delete it's data. Ensure you can pass SafetyNet. Next time you start you should be certified.
F2fs
F2fs file system is supported.
It is only recommended to use with the /data and /cache partitions, leave /system as default ext4.
Caution! The /data partition contains your internal SD card partition. Although it does not get backed up when you nandroid, if you format /data you will lose the contents of Internal SD. So we need to back this up ourselves if we are changing /data.
To change /data and /cache to F2fs:Connect your phone to your PC with your trusty USB cable.
In TWRP, go into Mount and enable MTP.
Copy everything from your internal SD to a folder on your PC.
Unmount MTP.
Go into Backup and perform a full nandroid backup.
Go into Wipe and change File System on /data and /cache from ext4 to f2fs.
Restore the /data and /cache partitions from your newly performed backup (will warn you that you are restoring to a different file system, is OK).
Go back to Mount and enable MTP again.
Copy the internal SD contents back from PC.
Job done.
Addons
Arise:
For Release 39 use the latest ARISE+Magnum+Opus+20180105+Stock+Edition.zip from here.
Recommended: use the in-built compatibility module for Magisk. My attached Arise prop file has had this edit added.
DO not install Arise as part of an initial Clean install - has been observed that wifi connectivity has been lost due to this. Do first install as ONLY rom + (root solution) Gapps, let OS boot and settle / install apps THEN boot back into TWRP and do a dirty flash with Arise.
Arkamys audio is now broken and should not be used (from my testing anyway).
Don't be scared of it not being an aroma installer - it is actually easier and more flexible once you are used to it.
Place your edited arise_customize.prop into the root folder of your internal SD card.
The procedure for a full dirty flash with Arise then becomes:Boot into TWRP and flash: Rom, (root solution), Gapps, Arise Magnum Opus, clear cache, reboot.
My arise_customize.prop for Opus is attached as an example to this post. You may notice it has been simplified. Try it!
For listening to loud raucous heavy metal I use:Installed using Opus prop: Core install, ViPER4Arise 2.5.0.5, v4a_profiles, Qualcomm effects = ANDROID_O, DIRAC, Uninstall MusicFX.
Viper4Arise settings: Convolver ON (DFX metal rap big bass), Viper Bass ON (Freq 60Hz, Boost 12db), Viper Clarity ON (Natural, 3.5db)
Big Gapps:
Large Gapps packages can be installed with our large system volume, saving valuable /data space by allowing you to fill unused /system space with the Google apps you normally install from the play store.
However, do not just install the full super package and expect there to be no impact on the fluidity of your system. Installing everything will bog your system down with too much unnecessary crap.
Recommended: setup a gapps-config.txt file to customise what gets installed to your preference and use the full Super Gapps file. Using this I delete some unnecessary apps for me from the rom (trebuchet launcher, AOSP keyboard, live wallpapers, exchange, calendar) and add in about 400 Mb of google apps I normally install anyway.
Gapps-config.txt can be leveraged to uninstall pretty much any file in the rom. This is a very powerful feature.
The basic idea for setting up the config-gapps file is: Core gapps are automatically installed, so you don't bother with them. Add the Pico and Nano apps as you prefer. Add all the Google apps you normally install from the playstore.
Gapps-config.txt needs to be in the same folder as the gapps file you will be using.
Careful you do not delete essential apps for boot : you need to have a launcher and keyboard, otherwise you won't be able to do anything on first boot. Watch out for apps which delete others when added (launcher, keyboard, etc.).
I have included a zip with my config-gapps as an example and a template file setup to make it easy for you to creat your own custom version.
Spectrum
Spectrum is a basic profile switcher app by @frap129 for switching performance profiles pre-setup by the rom dev.
Download Spectrum app here.
There are 4 profiles setup in the rom for use in Spectrum. The names and descriptions are preset - the descriptions in Spectrum don't really relate too much to Buff99 profiles.
The Spectrum application does not need to be installed if you do not wish to use profile switching.
If you do not install the app the default profile ("Balanced") is used.
You can directly change profiles without the app by saving a value of 0 - 3 to /data/property/persist.spectrum.profile
BALANCED (0)
The default Buff setup, same as without Spectrum applied.
PERFORMANCE (1)
Slightly slower version of balanced.
BATTERY (2)
Tweaked for a lower speed and better battery usage. Will not be as quick to perform certain tasks but will be more battery frugal.
GAMING (3)
Setup the same as balanced, except the governer is tweaked to work with user tweaked voltages.
Balanced, Performance and Battery are setup to use with default voltages (Power efficient speeds are favoured).
Gaming is setup to be used with user tweaked voltages, and scales more smoothly between all voltages.
Any suggestions of settings to apply are welcome.

It is unofficial on jfltexx for the moment but I am official Note 8 tablet maintainer.
I am hopeful releasing this will raise interest and others will volunteer to help out on an official build as I don't want to be sole maintainer.
How can I change weather provider (cLock) to yahoo? It's better for my localization.
Bookmarked!

[ROM] JAGUAR OREO REBASED 8.1 OFFICIAL-STABLE - NON-TREBLE- updated JANUARY 10

Welcome to Jaguar Oreo 8.1. As many know, the emphasis of the project is on Security and Performance. In addition to Omni features you have:
1. Hardened/fortified bionic (over 150 commits) to prevent bad behavior by system and third party apps
2. Most runtime processes are read only, which means they can't be exploited to take over the device. I am trying to attack the cause, rather than the symptoms (a specific exploit)
3. Many kernel security features activated, such as 'configuration_integrity', stackprotector_strong; randomization; hardened user copy, etc
4. Yama security in kernel
5. Kernel based on Heliox
6. Significantly improved bootup time: after initial Zuk logo, it takes just 4 seconds to fully boot (not the first time boot)
7. Many classes and resources are NOT preloaded or compiled during boot. Instead, they are compiled after the initial startup and put in ram. So, after initial settling, you will have increased speed in almost everything: interface transitions, and app startup time. Basically, the way Android is operated has been modified: less compiling/packing/unpacking on the go. As a result, speed, as mentioned before, and less heat.
8. Impulse governor is added and set as default
9. Voltage control (be careful with overdoing undervolting)
10. Deep sleep is working well: I have already posted screenshots in Jaguar N thread: 99% deep sleep for big and 70% for little over 20-hour-period
11. Entropy read/write increased, which also improves speed
12. Background WIFI scanning is hard-disabled
13. Preferred Network has all options (as in #4636#), as opposed to 2 or 3
14. Little things, such as randomizing pin entry buttons; no access to most quick settings on secure lockscreen and membar in stock recents (there is also membar in Omnigears)
15. Substratum is no longer in Omni, as of Oreo 8.0 - was trashed, and I contributed to the process: thanks to Google firebase, a spyware that grabs all your data. Their "privacy" policy says that to use Substratum, you must obtain consent from all your contacts to share their info with Google, etc: they grab everything

If you flashed dirty, change profile to something else and then to whatever you want. Also, make sure CPU section of KA has unchecked 'apply on boot'. Also, keep in mind, that if you have KA CPU 'apply on boot' on, that would explain why profiles don't hold on reboot.

October 26. Jaguar Oreo Rebased.
This is the one that I built for Oneplus 5/5T. All features from the original Jaguar plus more. Redesigned UI. Also, substratum support is present (you have a toggle to enable). You know Substratum has a HUGE privacy problem due to Firebase. So, the way to do it safely, is to install/apply the theme you like and after that either delete or freeze Substratum.apk and the theme itself. They are not needed, until you switch to another theme. Also, the rom has its own theme effects, and it works properly: no white on white or black on balck. Also, native recording is fully working (during the call and after removing dialer, you should have a clickable dot).
Oneplus 5/5T users noted ZERO bugs. Volte works in many countries including India. May or may not be the same with our zuk. VOLTE CONFIRMED WORKING.
Instructions:
CLEAN FLASH IS A MUST! THIS IS A DIFFERENT ROM.
1. Latest TWRP; wipe system/data/cache/dalvik; flash the rom; flash Gapps;
2. Reboot, then flash Magisk

This rom is totally separate from Jaguar N. So, no extra steps are necessary.
However, as it is true with any custom rom: if you do full factory reset or update your baseband, you need to run Indian stock once to enable Volte. Gapps: should be the same, as with any other Oreo rom.

No, but the rom has a switch 'Camera Hal HDR+' in Developer Settings, and in Opencamera, you can enable Hal3 and have portrait mode everywhere.

Known bugs:
when phone is shut down, it reboots instead (fixed in RC2)
reboot to recovery boots directly into system (fixed in RC2)
reboot takes long, about 30s (fixed in RC2, now it only takes a few seconds)
double tap to wake not always working (should be fixed in RC2)
holding fingerprint too long during setup can cause problems details
in full screen apps there may be a black bar to hide the camera cutout which can not be disabled (details, workaround)
high sensitivity touch screen / "glove mode" not available (details)
bixby-button hold-shortcut does not work (details)
google backup does not work with 4x4 or 5x5 pattern. This is an LineageOS issue, but important enough to deserve a note here. (details (thanks @Ivo_Todorov)
Installation:
How do I install this ROM on my phone for the first time?
Below you find a brief checklist of the required installation steps. Installation is more complicated than other ROMs because we take device security very seriously. If you are unfamiliar with installing custom roms , please click the links and read the additional details there.
Confirm the firmware version
Check the top of the ChangeLog which firmware version is required for the ROM release to work well
Go to settings/software-update and update only if the new version matches the requirement!
Alternative: flash with odin/heimdall (details see below)
Unlock your device
Backup all data, unlocking will factory reset your phone
Enable developer mode to and enable the OEM-unlock switch there
Turn off device and boot to bootloader (hold VolumeDown + Bixby, then connect USB cable)
Follow instructions on-screen
Finish the initial setup after unlock. You must connect to WiFi, but can skip everything else. Do not specify a pin/pattern during setup afterwards, otherwise TWRP may cause the "try again after 86400 seconds" issue (see below)
Confirm in the settings that the bootloader is actually unlocked. (greyed out, telling you its unlocked)
Install our TWRP (official thread) | more details (thanks @AndrOdin)
Download our TWRP recovery and the vbmeta-disabled.img file
Unpack the .xz file with 7zip
Check integrity of TWRP (optional, but important for security)
Rename files to recovery.img and vbmeta.img; then pack both files together in a .tar archive with 7zip
Install Samsung USB drivers and odin, (direct link)
Start odin as admin, disable "Auto Reboot" and click "AP "to select the .tar archive
Turn off device, boot to bootloader and, once odin detects it, click "Start"
When the screen turns off, immediately hold (and keep holding) VolumeUp + Bixby + Power to enter recovery mode
When the secondary warning appears, release everything but VolumeUp
Swipe slider to allow for modification
Install LinageOS
copy the ROM ZIP file an external SD card
Boot into the recovery
Wipe cache + dalvik (wipe->advanced and select cache + dalvik)
Format data (wipe->format data, use the dedicated button, wipe->advanced does not work)
Flash the ROM (install -> select storage -> micro SD card and select the .zip file)
Optional: Flash GAPPS (e.g. OpenGAPPS)
Reboot to system
How do I update LineageOS?
Updating LinageOS is a lot less work and you can keep all user data. The process is similar to the last part of the installation:
Backup all important files optional, but very helpful if something goes wrong)
Remove any pin/password/pattern to prevent "retry after 86400 seconds"
Copy the ROM ZIP file an external SD card or internal storage; download the new firmware files to PC (if needed)
Boot into the recovery, do not reboot until you've installed the new ROM and firmware
Flash the ROM (install -> select storage -> micro SD card and select the .zip file)
(Optional: Update GAPPS to the latest version)
Wipe dalvik and cache
Reboot to download
Flash new firmware with instructions below
(Optional: if you use Magisk, flash the new BOOT file. You can also do this in previous step instead of using Stef4n82's "BL.tar" file.)
Reboot to system
How do I update the firmware?
On the stock ROM you can update from the settings menu. You can't do this on lineageOS (yet), so ypu need to use use Odin or Heimdall instead.
How do I update the firmware manually?
Thanks to @Stef4n82's new instructions and repacked firmware files installation is easier than ever. Below you find a copy of his post:
If you use Heimdall:
Download the latest firmwarepackge for your device: "G97?F_Firmwareupdate_Heimdall_????.tar.gz"
Extract the package
Flash the firmware files with this command:
Code:
heimdall flash \
--BOOTLOADER sboot.bin \
--PARAM param.bin \
--UP_PARAM up_param.bin \
--CM cm.bin \
--KEYSTORAGE keystorage.bin \
--UH uh.bin \
--DTB dt.img \
--RADIO modem.bin \
--CP_DEBUG modem_debug.bin
If you use Odin:
Download the latest firmwarepackge for your device: "G97?F_Firmwareupdate_Odin_????.zip"
Extract the package and you will get an AP.tar, a BL.tar and a CP...tar.md5
Flash the 3 files with Odin (tested with latest Odin 3.14.x)
You can download the repacked firmware from the links below.
S10
S10e
S10+
If you don't want this repacked firmware packages and want to download the whole firmware by your own. Make sure if you flash it via Odin that you use this files:
From AP_G97?FXX*.tar.md5 take the dt.img and create a new AP.tar
CP_G97?FXX*.tar.md5
Extract BL_G97?FXX*.tar.md5 and create a new BL.tar without the vbmeta.img.lz4
Try again after 86400 seconds?
With newer version of the Samsung blobs, if you unlock the storage (/data) with TWRP (ie. you enter your pin/password/pattern in TWRP), the trustzone thinks it is a failed attempt and will lock the storage unlocking for 1 day (86400 seconds). To prevent this do not enter your pin (press cancel) and you can still flash an update. If you tripped the trustzone you can either wayt for 1 day to unlock your device (do not power it off) or try rebooting the phone a few times (thanks @Stef4n82), or this slightly more detailed guide (thanks @Exilion90)
You can prevent this completely by removing any pin/password/pattern before entering recovery. This does remove all stored fingerprints, so you'll have to set the up again after the update.
3rd Party Software:
How do I install Google apps?
You can download and install the Google Apps from Open Gapps Project. You need ARM64 and 10.x. We suggest to always use the pico package. If you need additional apps you find them in the Play Store.
Put the Open Gapps ZIP file on your SD card and flash it directly after you flashed LineageOS and before the first boot!
Can I use GPay? What about other banking apps
GPay as well as some other banking apps check if the device passes safetynet and will not start if it doesn't. Safetynet fails when the bootloader is unlocked and therefore this ROM will not run GPay and other applications that need it. This official LineageOS statement explains why safetynett will never by bypassed (by default).
Safetynet used to be easy to bypass with Magisk, but since an Update eralier this year Google uses the TPM module and that can't be circumvented easily. However there might be a workaround with "MagiskHide Props Config", please check out this post and this one. (thanks @Stef4n82) Please note that this has not yet been tested and we can not provide any support. If you got it working on your device, please share how you've done it so we can add it here!
How do I get MicroG with this ROM?
MicroG is an open source alternative to GAPPS. , but unfortunately not recently updated and therefore not recommended.
If you want to install it anyway, read this guide by @JoeRifle and this post (appendum) by @ned14 . Update: It has been reported that the new MicroG version works without issues. (thanks @ichmyselfandi)
Does this ROM have root?
Not by default. If you need root (eg. for AFWall) you can get it through Magisk.
How do I install Magisk?
Important security Advice: Don't flash Magisk modules or anything else which sets SELinux to permissive or you open your device for malware!
Option 1 (recommended):
Download the boot image for Magisk: S10e -- S10 -- S10+
Verify the integrity of the file -> See INTEGRITY
Unzip the boot image using xz or p7zip
(Needed for Odin) Rename the file to boot.img and use 7zip to pack it into a .tar file
Flash the boot image to the BOOT partition using Odin, Heimdall or TWRP
Install https://******************/
Option 2:
Patch TWRP
Which camera app do you suggest?
OpenCamera:
Great open source app that supports a lot of the camera's features with the camera API v2 (select this option in the settings):
All cameras supported (except telephoto, this is a issue with the ROM)
Manual change of exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO
The (main) developer uses an S10e himself so you can expect good HW support
You can get it from F-Droid or Play Store
GCam Variants:
There is no "official" GCam for this ROM, but there are some that work. Please read this excelent post by @ned14 for more details. The current recommendation is "GCam_5.1.018.177470874.41362666_IDan_N6_3.5_fix.apk" from (IDan). You need GAPPS, microG (post) or the Google Service Framework(post).
In comparison to OpenCamera it sacrifices manual controls + extra lenses for:
simpler user interface
better single-shot HDR
better panoramas + photospheres
SlowMo video (1080p @120/240fps)
I've also written a more detailed comparison. You can have both camera apps installed at the same time, so you can always choose the better one depending on the scenario.
Getting Help:
General:
Before you post, please check this FAQ, use the search function and skim the few last pages of this thread. We want LinageOS to work on your device, that's the whole point of this thread, but this way you can get the fastest help. If you did not find an answer, feel free to ask here We do this in out free time and it may take us some time to answer, so please be patient.
How to report a bug?
To fix any bug we first have to be able to reproduce it. Please include all relevant information:
device (S10e/S10/S10+)
ROM version
is gapps/ microg/ magisk installed?
steps to reproduce the issue
When in doubt it's better to include to 0much information than too little. A good example is @Sheffield Steve's bug report. Check out Simon's "How to Report Bugs Effectively" to write even better reports (and thus get better help).
How to create a logfile?
To get an even better insight into your issue, a logfile can help us a lot. On Android this is called "logcat". Short logcats are best. They contain less fluff which makes finding the issue easier. Here are the steps how to create a log with adb:
install adb drivers
open cmd and navigate to the adb file eg. cd C:\Users\<user>\Desktop\platform-tools
Connect your phone via USB
Select "Allow USB Debugging" on the popup on the phone (see below how to activate it)
Clear the log using: adb logcat -c
Start loggingwith: adb logcat | tee beyond.log
Reproduce the issue
Stop logging by pressing CTRL+c
Send us the log (in a PM)
How do I enable USB Debugging?
To enable USB Debugging you need to do the following steps:
Go to Settings -> About Phone
Look for Build number
Tap on Build Number several times till you get the message that Developer Options have been enabled
Go to Settings -> System -> Advanced -> Developer Options
Enable USB Debugging

The most obvious one is that we provide SELinux enforcing and care about security and privacy. For the rest I can't give you an answer as Ivan doesn't want to release the source of his device tree. It would be great if Ivan would join our effort and contribute.
Great news, thanks a lot. Your work is much appreciated.
I run LOS from 31.03. from Ivan now. Can I easily flash yours now? As I see Ivan includes vendor files in his release. Is this something I need to consider before flashing your version? And last but not least - I would like to build from your sources. Mainly because I dont want to have Aurora and Fdroid included. Is there a recipe ready for building from scratch?
Again, thank you very much for your effort.

If you switch, you have to format /data I'm sorry. We decided to go with AES-256-XTS encryption for this ROM and also the code is signed with my developer keys! There are package signature checks in place for apps which would prevent you to use the ROM.
If you want to build it yourself, instructions are in the beyond0lte README.
However you can just go to Settings -> Apps and disable FDroid and AuroraStore.
Also I've added and AOD (Always On Display) Quicksetting Tile, but this hasn't been merged upstream yet. You might want to pick those changes.
I cant flash it. Im using latest twrp 103

I'll upload a boot.img which is pre-patched for Magisk 20.4. You can flash this via twrp and Magisk should work, just need to install the Magisk Manager.
edit: Here it is https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261761185 Unzip the file. If you wish, you can verify it using gpg, then flash the boot.img via TWRP.

What about Live display settings in this build? Does it have different color profiles (sRGB for example as it was on S9 series LOS 15.1/16/17.1) or not? Ivan's ROM has only standard "vivid" gamma and white balance correction....

Hey another day another rom, that's what you might be thinking. but we at stag aim towards elegance. We are learners just like everyone out there, This is small project we have started which helps us learn every single day. Why Stag, you might question, my answer would be why not. After all Harry's patronus was a stag(pun intended). After having a couple of iterations, we still intend to stick to our roots, and keep refining what we have. With Android 13, Stag would still be aiming at an elegantly beautiful close to stock experience, that satisfies just the features and customisations you'd crave for (nothing more, nothing less), at the same time being blazing fast and silky smooth. You'll have to try it to believe it .
~Sic Parvis Magna~
PS: for people wondering what sic parvis magna is, it translates to great endings from small beginnings, Something i picked up while playing a game.

* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
This is a very initial stage build, bugs are to be expected. Although so far in testing we did not find anything major, cts not working and any such issues are to be expected, and you will be flashing the build of your own accord.
Please do not expect features or anything at all, this is just an initial release and is completely stock with 0 features whatsoever.
I am planning to have super frequent releases of A13 beta, and soon it will be the stag you know and love (it's super stable already)

Installation
Please follow the instructions properly.
**Make sure your boot loader is unlocked**
(If you face issues with installation, MSM is the way. These are initial builds and anything can happen)
Please read the following carefully for incremental
Incremental updates are considerably smaller updates (10-400mb instead of 2.5Gb) and will only work if you are updating from a specific version.
For incremental to work you have to make sure that you flashed no additional zips (magisk, partition gapps etc etc) as that will modify partition and incremental will not work any more.
if an incremental flashing fails nothing bad happens to your system and you are free to dirty flash the full update .
If you have any questions regarding the same feel free to post them.
Spoiler: Updating using Updater
**Warning: Currently Updater is a bit buggy and might not work for everyone**

Changelog - 24042023
Bonjour, A long time due update is finally out. The march update by google was a huge pain, I had to completely re work the source and had a lot of personal issues. Hence I had to skip march release, and are soo late into april as well. I'll really try my best to provide all further updates on time (or much ahead). With all the rambling aside, this update will not look much, but trust me someone once said: "it's not what's on the outside that matters, it's what's on the inside that does". And inside the source there have been a tremendous amount of changes and people who tested the build are in love with it, so what exactly does it bring to plate ? Read on:
Device Specific
1. Finally the huge jump to OOS 13 FW, build is based on F.21
2. Still retain the amazing haptics from before
3. Fixed auto brightness, works like a charm
4. Enabled CLO boost framework, makes the device much smoother.
5. Added support for power efficient workqueues, saves your battery.
6. Upgraded to OOS 13 based OOS Camera
Source
1. Feb -> April patch. We are on the latest patch by google, CTS passes OOTB!
2. One downgrade is the removal of battery styles, they will be right with you by may release.
3. We revamped the Recents UI slightly, looks more like OOS now.
4. A very small touch is the addition of clear all sound, I personally find it very satisfying. The swoosh that OOS clear all makes, now Stag does too, you'll absolutely love it.
5. Added a feature called re-ticker. For anyone who's used a samsung phone might be able to relate. It's a OneUI style pill shaped notification.
6. Added notification clear all button styles
7. Finally App Lock and hide apps from launcher, super helpful features!!
8. Revamped resolution selector
9. A new settings UI (can be enabled with a toggle)
That's about all I have on the feature front, but you'll be lost scrolling and using the latest and greatest of Stag.
Until next time.

Hola people, Hope you have been loving the previous stag release, I have heard feedback, and there's some serious changes in this build! Keep reading to find out. LTO
Build is based on February Security patch by the way .
Device Specific
1. Un-Reworked haptics, XD ok I realised the complains. We are back on OOS 11 haptics now, the very best that you remember.
2. trying to mimic OOS behaviour, when you change alert slider it will also show up on ambient display, of course only if you want it to!
Fixes
1. Lock clock font.
2. The crash that happened when you happen to enable Demo mode.
Changes
1. Build is based on February patch
2. We have completely ditched Pixel Launcher and Moved to our own launcher. I could write a complete changelog just stating the launcher changes itself, but I'll leave it to you guys to figure it out.
3. A few notable changes, revamped recents menu, added memory info to recents. Shhh.. No more spoiling.
4. We now build using Global ThinLTO. Keeping it simple, it means that performance will go vrooom.
5. Now you have chance to use the updated security menu in settings straight from pixel (only on GAPPS builds)
6. Play System updates which previously was broken, now works. You can successfully update.
7. Added toggle for enabling unlimited photos storage.
8. Added toggle to enable high fps in games.
9. This is a hot cake, now you can choose which side you want your volume panel in landscape as well. I understand some people find it comfortable on the right on landscape, this one's for you.
10. Fingerprint Icons and Animations!! Man those are super duper cool, you'll keep selecting from all the options available .
11. Like QPR2? Me too, hence now we have the QS panel from QPR2, nothing major, just a very smooth and soothing clock expand animation.
12. Not everyone is a fan of two column layout of QS Tiles, we now have added row and column count customisation, along with being able to hide labels!!!
13. Now you can also hide if you don't want to see your daily data usage, hide that guilt XD.
14. Added music pulse. NavBar/lockscreen/ambient music visualiser.
15. Also added edge light for notification.
16. Added support for toggling status bar icons.
17. As a consequence of above, a dynamic VoLTE, and a VoWiFi icon implementation which can be turned off!
18. Added a fix to IMS, which avoids showing carrier name under internet tile twice, for example, "JIO - Jio".
19. A lot of under the hood performance and visual improvements, to make sure that stag flies hehe!!
This is a pretty huge overhaul, and I'm positive you guys will more than love it.
Looking forward to your responses
Until next time!

Changelog - 16102022
Guys been super busy these days, will keep changelog to point for this release. One of the most important change will be support for OTA updates and incremental updates.
So incremental updates allow the further releases to be as small as 14mb. More details and instructions will be shared with next release (which actually will be incremental)
Major Changes
1. Updated to October Patch
2. Builds are now signed using official keys
3. Added OTA support (Full and Incremental)

All Changes
1. One of the most immediate major change is support for system theme, you can find this in Horns>Themes. You need to have dark theme enabled for this to work. On popular demand I have added back black theme, but also along side now you have a transparent theme as well. It's work in progress but looks lovely.
2. Now you have options for resolution control (1080P and 2k), and we have fixed the issue where Display becomes very small or very big on changing resolution. It now looks perfect .
3. Added warp charge support (detects when phone is warp charging)
4. And yes, finally moved the volume panel to the left. It was long due.
5. For pristine builds improved launcher, you'll have a super smooth experience using it.
6 .Added option for double tap to doze (ambient display), for this to work make sure you have double tap to wake up enabled before. You can find it in display Settings.
7. Added support for OTA updates.
8. Added a proper monet impl for non gapps builds.
9. Add double tap to sleep on lockscreen/statusbar/anywhere.
10. Enable less annoying notifications, you need to use it to love it.
11. You can now disable alert slider UI.
12. Added back font/icon theming support. (Can be found at Horns/System)
13. Add option to enable haptic feedback on haptic tiles.
14. Now you can disable sound on screenshot.
15. Added feature adaptive playback
16. Now you can also record system audio while screen recording.
17. Allow to delete screenshot/screenrecord from pop up notification.
18. Add aesthetic changes like padding to make the rom look better.
19. Fix the layout of advanced reboot. (Looks much better now after following AOSP style)
That is all I have for now guys. Hope you all love the build!! looking forward to your feedback

hey, I'm trying to fix Verizon by next release cheers.
Holy **** that's a lot quicker then I thought!
So what firmware is this rom based off of? Looking at the installation guide it has me a bit confused. Is it OOS12 or 11 based?
Can I flash over stag os 12 without formating?

I tried it but it didn't work so i'd suggest backing up and clean flashing just to be safe

No.
@pranavasri Thank you so much for hard work, I'm tested today you ROM and battery life so good, and fast charge work perfectly! System is very stable and fast. But I find some small bugs:
1. Video in Chrome Browser not played, but in Firefox work normally. (Same problem have previously build LineageOS but developers fixed this problem)
2. In YouTube have bug if I change quality video 1080p or higher and stopped video, after 3-4 seconds video automatic played without me.
3. Recovery sometimes not booted from bootloader.
Thank you for StagOS 13 is really good work
Everything smooth so far, even better than the 12 v, the only bug so far is the there is no charging information in the lock screen nor the battery icon on the statusbar.
can someone tell if is root working?
EDIT: it's working after couple days by itself

For me work perfectly, without any root, 60% - 20 minutes remaining.
When installing Magisk in recovery, it asks for formatting. I do formatting and when going through the initial setup, the phone does not detect a WiFi network
Amazing. I would expect nothing less from the StagOS team.
Does it have the oos cam?
