Do you have access to Amazon in India? I know they have a few on there. At least in the US they do.

Hello friend, in Brazil we also do not have the charger, nor the device v20, but I got to buy on ebay , searching for LG V20 Mobile Battery Charging Kit BCK-5200 w Hybrid Charger Case BCK5200

I saw a couple versions on Wish.com. One just a cradle, the other had a slot for a back up battery. That being said, now I am looking for a reasonably priced OEM battery. Suggestions? Also, I have not dug around yet I the setting or wherever, but does the V20 support NFC charging?

I just ordered one from eBay global easy buy. It costs Rs. 4490/- including shipping..
Seller id is : i2cworld_inc3..

If you mean wireless charging, then no. I just got one for a family member yesterday and did research. There are pins for it inside the back panel, but LG never released a wireless charging back. There are cheesy third-party stickers that attach to the USB at the bottom, but they look awful.

cheap battery charging cradle
I received a $2.52 charging cradle from aliexpress ( https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Mic...ck-Holder-Desktop-For-LG-V20/32819373073.html ) yesterday. I tested it : powered it on my network hub usb port, put my battery in it, it charged it from about 75% to 100% in about an hour or less ... seems to be (very) fine for the price - Hope this helps

Just out of interest, how long do people find that it takes to fully charge their batteries with the official cradle? I normally take out the battery and swap mine for a fully charged one at about 15%, so if anyone could let me know their charging times, that would be great! I'm currently using a cheap universal battery charging cradle.
Also, when you put the battery in the phone, what does it show up at - mine is normally around 95%.
*edit* I finally found one and, so far, so good!

The output says 4.4V at 1.6A so that's about 7W going in
Battery is 3200mah or 12.3Wh
2-3h for a full charge and it should say 100% when fully charged

Need charging stand that charges phone + xtra battery.

Is there such a thing available right now? I know Mugen makes one but it's not in stock and won't ship until some time in September. I also found one on Amazon but it gets horrible reviews so scratch that one.
Are those the only two options?
And if I can't find an all-in-one dock/cradle, what other options are there for charging an extra battery other than putting it in the phone overnight? Are there any decent chargers that will charge the battery by itself?

Thanks. From reading some of the posts on that thread, it looks like those might have the same problem all the other ones have...they don't charge the battery past 85%.
I believe this is what you are looking for... Its an official Samsung product with an official NFC replacement battery
www.shopandroid.com/samsung-spare-battery-charging-system-w-standard-2100mah-nfc-battery/AA11622.htm
Edit: i reread your post and no this does not charge the phone and xtra battery @ the same time. But you could just use 2 chargers @ the same time

I got this one on ebay:

I have no idea why Samsung commissioned a cradle that charges the battery but not the phone at the same time. They seem pretty worthless to me.

Wireless Charging Rate

How fast does your device charge up? I'm getting about 2% added every 10 minutes, which means it would take a whopping 8+ hours to go from 0-full. I'm using a sticker I got from another member and it seems to work just fine in terms of getting a connection. NFC is working fine with this aftermarket sticker too.

What do NFC and wireless charging have to do with each other?!
Here is a screenshot of mine and the estimated time to charge using the WCD-100. It depends on how fast your qi charger is, mine is 1A.

What charger are you using because that it not right, just quickly checked mine and it charged 10% in 16 minutes but I think as the charge goes up it gets slower. I'm using the WCD-100 with it plugged into an Anker Astro 3 and using its smart port.

NFC on our devices work by having an NFC antenna in the form of a thin sticker on the rear cover, US models will only have this, while international models have a different sticker on the backside of their device that performs as the NFC antenna and the wireless charging system.

I'm using some cheap no name pad linked to an iPad wall plug. To clarify, does your device come with wireless charging built in, did you get that sticker replacement, or a replacement OEM back cover?

Sorry for the late reply, my phone came with wireless charging. I tested it yesterday and from 2% to 100% it took 3 hours.
What percentage was your battery at? The charge isn't linear - the more the battery is charged, the slower it will be. If it was in the 90s, it would be especially slow. That's a good thing for long term battery life.
I cannot tell the difference between it being plugged into the oem wall charger and wireless charging with my official powerbot (there's some imitations even on the same amazon page) and the airdock. The battery is getting at least as much power as it will accept.

I do get the "slow charging" screen so I don't think it has to do with that, rather the charging pad. Either way, the QI/NFC sticker creates a slight bulge in the back cover, and I can't have that since I'm planning on getting a toastmade skin, I have a replacement OEM back coming in on Friday with QI/NFC built in, if that doesn't help, its time to shop for a new charging pad.

Chinese battery cases

Anybody try any of the ~$15 battery cases on eBay from China? About 10 listings pop-up without trying, but all seem to be the same, from the description anyway... Just seems like for the money if it even extends battery life 50% it is a bargain.

EDIT: eh, it was $14 so went ahead and ordered one, will report back in a few weeks.
Very interested in hearing back about this. Bought a new phone for Dad so I am going to reuse his old nexus 5 as a second phone. Will try to pimp it out and the first thing I need is exactly this. Been researching on "larger batteries" (all fake lol) but I believe this is the next best thing.
Any news on this? Seem very interesting. Will also buy a new battery, but this will be better than the LG G2 battery mod.

Sorry... Forgot about this thread. The battery case worked fine although I didn't get to test it much as I sold the phone and case a couple weeks later to a guy in rough spot for next to nothing. He is still using it a few months later with no problems.
I got one of this and I rather use power bank to charge it
Cons:
Little to no protection on the phone, I have to cut a rubber case in order to use it
No pass-through charging. The case itself will NOT charge when your phone is in the case. At the end, you got 100% on your phone but 0% in the case, even you have already plugged in. So if you need to charge both devices, you have to take them apart and charge them seperately.
Slow charge rate, the case charges N5 slow when you are using it at the same time, so the juice perecentage will probably still drop, but slower.
Heat. This thing is warm or even hot when operating under heavy usage. With its build quality, I did worry about something bad could happen.
Comment:
It is not so good and the build quality is also average. But since it is the only battery case that we can buy after 3 years, it is still useful as a backup battery. Just don't use the phone heavily on the go when the case is chaging your phone. (That's why I switched back to power bank…)

Recommendations on replacement/spare batteries and chargers in 2018

Just got a pair of V20s for the wife and I.
Haven't used them enough to know how well the battery lasts, but the "refurbs" we got clearly came with the original LG batteries.
I don't know if these are the "original" batteries and/or if LG is still making fresh batteries for these phones or all OEM have been sitting on the shelves for a couple of years.
I'd like to get a couple of backup batteries for us along with a wall charger to keep the spares juiced.
I've never had great luck buying replacement batteries for phones before on Amazon, I usually got OEM which were old stock or 3rd party which might work well for a month or two but then degrade quickly.
Can anyone recommend some good quality spares? I see the BCK-5200 is still for sale on Amazon, but $99 is way to steep. That's 60% what I paid for the phone
I got a used LG V20 on swappa some time ago. I bought 2 3300ma Aexpower batteries with an external charger for around $25 or so on Amazon. No complaints they have been good for the last number of months.
I got a Alimu USB Type C charger on Amazon sold by JOTech and it is awesome. It's a quick charge 3.0 rapid fast wall charger. Gives you a super fast charge. Has the little circle thing pop up on the battery icon on the phone to let you know its rapid charging as well. I use this one over the original charger it came with. You will not be disappointed. Would post a link but am still a newbie here.
As for spare batteries.... I got lucky on EBay and found the spare battery charger kit for the LG v20 for 50 bucks. Love the little charger it comes with.
I also bought this 2 pack battery and wall charging unit from YISHDA on Amazon. The batteries aren't too bad. They don't last as long as the original battery the phone comes with but come in handy. But I'm a nerd and have 3 extra batteries now.
Rarely use the charge cable and if i do its for the battery charger from the LG lit aha. I keep a battery and wall charger at work and at home so it's been pretty sweet not having to leave the phone on a chord charging. Clol with swapping a battery and keeping it moving.
I bought one of those LG battery and charging cradle sets from a seller in Amazon. They look original, however, the battery after a few months of use started to overheat and make my phone c-r-a-w-l so much that I had to resist smashing it to the floor when it was taking forever to swipe the notifications. I switched to the original battery (which already had been used for a year before swapping it for the one in the set) and my phone flies!
I don't know if the battery was second quality, but I just ordered one directly from LG to make sure that is going to be original.

I purchased the LG BCK 5200 battery and charger kit for £30 on eBay (not from China). Its a genuine OEM item and I've had no problems with the battery, its just as good as the original.
Maybe yours was a fake item, there's plenty of that on eBay.

You know I did that in Feb if this year also. I dug around until I found the highest rated battery for the V20 on Amazon. There is a brand by TQTHL that claims to be rated at 3,300 mAh. The link free below, and it's a couple dollars cheaper now than when I paid for it.

I've searched again but there are no UK sellers with this item.
And I can't remember the seller, and eBay is of little help....
I have 4 fast chargers and all 4 work perfectly.
1. Lenovo ZUK Z2 Charger with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0
2. Leeco LePro 3 Charger with QC 3.0
3. 35W HP Elite X2 1012 Charger (maybe QC 5.0 lol it can push upto 19V but it has stepping supply 5V, 9V, 12V, 19V and intelligently supplies appropriate voltage, no issues with it either
4. LG's Fast Charger which is QC 2.0
So basically get any Qualcomm QC certified charger
I changed mine with a Perfine 3200mah battery 4 months ago, and I'm really satisfied with it. I would totally recommend it.
I also stopped using the original LG charger when I found out that QC degrades battery life, and I believe it to be true, at least in my experience with a few phones supporting QC 2 and 3.0.
since I stopped using quick chargers, my phone batteries last a lot longer. my 2 cents.

This is the brand that I'm using right now. Been about 6 months now and haven't had any problems. Feels comparable to stock. This one is tops.
I bought a 4100mAH battery for myself and my brother-in-law off Qoo10 website in Singapore.
The battery was the same size as the original so you could easily slot it in. The amazing part was that the battery lasted at least 1/3 longer than our originals!

Like I said. So far, been very good.
I'm getting 1-2 hours more than the stock battery. Not much but I just wanted spare batteries.
Does anyone have an updated link? It doesn't seem to be working for me.

Newegg has the kit
Using Perfine 4100 bought from here for 30 days.
Battery is a bit more thicker than the original one but fits with a light pressure applied.
No overheating while charging or using, measured capacity is about 3850 MaH and lasts at least 25% more compared to the original one.

Wireless charging on Extended battery?

I searched for a bit but couldnt find a helpful post, so here I go.
Iam currently using a 6500mah powerbear extended battery/case on my LG G4. I am trying to figure out if I can add wireless charging to it somehow. I've seen the Qi/NFC patches, but I'm unsure if they will fit with the larger battery currently in the phone. Any help is appreciated.
