New ROM!!!, download.....
Enviado desde mi Moto MAXX mediante Tapatalk

FINALLY!! best ROM I've ever tested!
Let's see how it works as a (UN)official ROM.

Cool

Taking a look. Hoping to stay in level of AEX.

why work 4 kernels always? how to fix?

Downloading it now. I'll post some feedback after some tests and a day of casual use. Looks promising!

Can you just provide the kernel of this rom?
By creating a flashable kernel if possible??
Just saw 'CAF' on the kernel tree of our device, thought of giving it a try...

Until proven otherwise I would tend to believe it's the exact same kernel used in all the Quark ROMs, which is now coded by @bhb27. He has a "stock" kernel he uses in RR 7.x and crDroid and a standalone "custom" kernel with more options.
All the other ROM devs have been using his "stock" kernel -- which was started by official CM dev @Skrilax_CZ with CM12, 12.1 and CM13. @bhb27 has effectively taken over the kernel work to make a Quark kernel that can be used in Quark ROMs.
I may be wrong that there's nothing different about the kernel in this ROM -- but until now all Quark ROMs for the past two years (since March 2014) only exist because @Skrilax_CZ adapted the Motorola kernel sources to work with CM (now LOS). Then @bhb27 took over that work and has continued to request Motorola kernel sources for Quark. All custom Quark ROMs (which work with ALL Quarks) have always used the same kernel, based on CM tree (now LOS). (CF's Verizon stock-based ROM for the XT1254 does not work with XT1225 because it does not use this "universal" Quark kernel.)
I really don't think the dev for this ROM has done anything different to the CM/LOS kernel except run commands to make it work for this ROM. No offense, ROM work is different from kernel work. This can be a GREAT ROM while still using the same kernel all the other Quark ROMs use.

Thanks brother .. yes regarding kerne of ROm yes we use base kernel made by the team cm / los .. I do not bring any modification in the kernel regarding the bhb ... even because who is master in that area and @bhb27! The kernel that I use but a base kernel of the team quark cm / os that with some modifications caf ... I just did not use the bhb mod kernel as an option!O

You need to flash SuperSU

I just turned it on in developer options

The Wi-fi tethering is not working. When enabling it, it says "Error" in the hotspot name.

Camera isn't working.
By the way, I'm using Moto G5+ Camera but could you fix it in next update? thanks bro and good luck!

it depends of Dev Marsh, otherwise, bhb27's kernel has a lotta options, maybe next update we can see more governors, who knows...

This messing up the issue of the kernel used in my ROMs! I want to leave of course I'm not working in the kernel because it does not have "need" as @ChazzMatt spoke using kernel stock .. the kernel work and different from the ROM as he spoke ... I think I would not need to start some work Specific in the kernel since @bhb27 has elevated it to a nice level .. our kernel is simply "****" thanks to @bhb27 .. i work the bhb rom the kernel we use it all in a beautiful sync for all dev and users .. .

Thank you for clarifying yet again that you don't do dev work on the kernel -- you try to make the ROM as good as possible. ROM work is different from kernel work. You can have a GREAT ROM while still using the same kernel the other Quark ROMs use.
I've corrected/educated -- whatever you want to call it @Scrluiz again and again about this -- and he doesn't seem to want to understand....

@Scrluiz, see all these Nougat Quark ROMs below? They all use the SAME kernel. The exact same kernel. Who coded it? @bhb27. It's the "stock" Quark kernel used in the CM/LOS tree. @Skrilax_CZ the CM dev started the kernel work for Quark ROMs and now it's been continued by @bhb27.
@bhb27 also has a standalone "advanced" kernel he develops, which you can download and install in any of these ROMs. It has more governors, more I/O choices, more hotplugs, etc. Personally, I run the "stock" kernel found in all the ROMs -- but BOTH are coded by @bhb27.
@Dev Marsh maintains two of these ROMs below (the top two on the list actually, as they are the newest). The improvements and differences he puts in may make you like them better than another ROM on this list. The CM/LOS ROM (further down) for instance will have less options than RR (also further down). Some people actually LIKE less option -- less choices to deal with. Some people like a more "basic" ROM. Whereas others want the kitchen sink thrown in (American slang for "everything"), so they can customize their ROM completely. I'm sure @Dev Marsh has his own development signature for his ROMs, things to make his ROMs stand out.
[ROM][7.1.1]All Quarks][UNOFFICIAL][OMS] Cosmic OS for Moto MAXX]
[ROM][All Quarks][7.1.1_r25][OFFICIAL] AospExtended ROM V3.3 [OMS/DUI]
[ROM][All Quark][7.x] Resurrection Remix
[ROM][UNOFFICIAL]AOKP 7.x For All Quark
[ROM][Quarks][LOS/CM 14.1 Unofficial][7.1.x][2016-12-30] (hybrid of CM14 and Resurrection Remix)
[ROM][7.1][All quark] crDroid Android
But guess what is IDENTICAL about every one of these Moto Maxx/Moto Turbo/Droid Turbo ROMs above? The kernel. The ROMs are all different, try them and find a favorite -- but any differences will be due to ROM features or dev choices, not anything related to the kernel.

Welcome to VanirAOSP.
Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
minor UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
low profile mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
many improvements and new features unique to vanir
more to come when i feel like updating the op

Tried the February 6 official build, seems great. But seems to be lacking a few features, e.g. an ability to display the date in the status bar. Other than that, it's been a smooth ride so far.
Just a question, is it possible to flash an unofficial build over an official build, or an official build over an unofficial build when updating?

Running the unofficial February 7 build, very nice. Buttery smooth performance. Not sure why this thread is going unnoticed.
Bugs:
1. The keyboard randomly stops accepting input, but starts working fine again after locking and unlocking the phone. Happens a few times every day.
2. Proximity sensor does not turn off screen during calls.
3. Sometimes the person on the other end can't hear me when I make an outgoing call, but it seems to work fine when I call them again.
Feature Requests:
1. Colour calibration options in kernel
2. Option to display date in status bar
3. Dark Material theme

Could you please add screen controls from this link to your kernel :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/dev-kcal-advanced-color-control-t3032080
It enables saturation, contrast and gamma controls and other advanced things such as grayscale mode.
Kindly implement it in your rom/kernel ASAP ! I was really looking forward to this feature !
Thank You !

Yes, you need to update your bootloader to use any CM/AOSP 5.0+ Based ROMs, Stock based ROMs like TP doesn't require updated bootloader.
Very Nice, one of my favorite ROMs since my old Falcon.
Thanks for it

F.A.Q:
What is the base of ROM??
A: As you can see in the OP, it's based on LineageOS
Is it the ROM pre-rooted?
A: No. It's necessary to do the flash of Magisk or SuperSU
How about CMActions?
A: Not included yet. I'm getting problems while building with CMActions included in device tree (see attached files). While I don't solve it, you can go using GravityGestures. Included! Update of day 08/30 or newer have it.
About the bugs/issues we have in ViperOS, how much of they we have?
A: You tell me. But PLEASE search before you post. If you don't found a solution here, post it, and remember to get a logcat.
I have a issue with Modem. Any solution?
A: Yes. Try to flash the clean_modem_status.zip and see if returns to work (Thanks to @bhb27 to provide us this GPS fix)
How to get a logcat?
A: Check it here. If you're using BHB27 Kernel Adiutor, it's so much simple, go to Logs section and press the "logcat" option.
Is it the BHB27Kernel working on this ROM?
A: Yes, it's working.
Xposed works?
A: Yes it's working, as Scrluiz said (Thanks to @Scrluiz for check it)
I have a bug and I have installed Xpos...
A: Stop. If you want to report a bug or anything like that, uninstall Xposed first. I won't give any support until you uninstall the Xposed

Another one! Quark is not dead guys!
Just loaded on my Verizon droid turbo.
Do we need to flash super user?
Edit, ha ha just saw the answer.
@Hlcpereira I want to say to you and everybody that's using/testing ViperOS now... ROM is compatible with Xposed Nougat (Unofficial), I tested and it's working on first boot including the ROM itself, GApps and Xposed flashable zip (by PurifyOS)! I don't know if you already know it, but I'd like to say it in another forum from here, it's too soon to tell about the ROM, but it's very stable and I love this black theme on settings!

Hello Hlcpereira really enjoying the ROM today. Had some problems last night with Google not syncing my contacts and getting SuperSU properly installed.
But retried this morning and got it all worked out. Thank you very much for sharing this with us. Really enjoying it, and look forward to running for quite some time.

Try reflash the GApps. If its FC after that, try flashing an older package of same variant. Check it here. And remember to get for 7.1.
Don't know if this is a bug or not , but last night and then again tonight if I open map's my phone shuts down.
It will restart and I can use any app but map's.
Here is a pic of it dropping down to zero and back up to 34 after reboot.

Here it's all right with Maps. I don't know if its because I'm using BHB Kernel, but anyway try uninstalling and installing Maps again. If don't solve it I'll check it better in this weekend.
Probably just the same deal as with all the other 7.1 Roms phone shutting down before it should.
I've had this happen before on other ones but when it happened on those it wouldn't reboot until I put it on the charger.
I did as you suggested though.

Hello, about to test this out but it says phone needs to be on pie firmware to flash zip. So accordingly flashed ob22 firmware before flashing ROM. It still won't let me flash, says I'm not on pie firmware. Must be doing something silly. Thank you for the ROM.

There is no way to swap those buttons as they are the way it should be by default but you can use third party apps like button mapper pro by flar2 like I use tho

Asking as I have clean flashed this rom but phone freezes up or just reboots randomly with kernel included in rom, yet trying bluspark or Krieg's kernel the phone is working as intended except no wifi.
Any ideas?

So far the only one I'm aware of is MTP.. I haven't been able to enable MTP/USB file transfer without rebooting yet. It freezes my device and makes it unusable til I turn it back off. I've not encountered any other issues yet.

Yeah hope the next build will have finger print authentication vibration toggle, and pocket detection...only that is what i miss in this great rom
Thanks for providing the ROM, the look and feel are awesome so far.
Some other ROMs like Cr don't even have bootanim, this ROM gives you several, changing with each boot.
Never seen that before.
Smooth performance and many features, i guess this will be my daily driver for a while. (I guess im 家 now )
Some things i noticed tho:
- Search bar in Stock launcher not working correctly
- Changing System font wont work everywhere (Chrome still shows Stock font e.g. on google.com)
- Some (imo) Key features missing like real HW button config (or i just can't find them?)
Last point is not much of a problem and easily resolved with 3rd party app, but i think this should be on every custom ROM, atleast swap back/recent.
Can provide logs for the other things if needed, keep up the great work!
PS: Shouldn't be OOS Cam on feature list too?

Yes USB file transfer is the only major issue that stop me using this, will you please solve this! I found op5 is not officially supported in telegram group
I also noticed NFC isn't working at all, which is a bit of a bummer trying to use mobile payments, but other Pie ROMs have this issue too at the moment.
Would have been nice to see this on the bug list, too.
Hope it gets fixed soon.

Well, I don't ask it for the fun of it. There are aosp oreo roms lacking this feature and it's a deal breaker..
But, it's implemented, so...nice job.

? I understand!
I installed it, it went well, but didn't got the face unlock option. Tried several things and then got the thought, 'why would I trade it for a already working rom.'. A rom with all the same features. RR.
So do tell me, - not to disrespect your work - what would be the reason to install this one instead?

one good reason is that i don't maintain RR. i'm tired with all the work i do everyday so i can only update 1 rom at a time and since lineage is important because it's being used by all other roms , i will do lineage when i can.
So you chose this one over RR because it has a maintainer/builder haha

Maybe it has updated security patch and some kernel commits? And for the god sake buy OnePlus 6 or something if you want that "face unlock" feature working.. For the LG G4 you need perfect condition for front camera to recognize face..
So i have downloaded this rom, gapps 8.1 stock ARM64. In twrp wipe data, system, install rom, install gapps, "twrp wants to be system app" ok, installing app, then phone restarted, lg logo, rom logo for few mintes and Kernel crash, battery out/in, phone on and it started. I logged into my google account, click "restore apps" and now it's downloading apps very slowly, phone is laggish, i don't have any ringtones and my sd card does not work. What did i do wrong?

So you're not sure about the security patch and kernel tweaks? ?
Face unlock works great. Yes, with the right amount of light. And it needs to be teached. Not one time only.

Wpie cache and dalvik as well, and you should read wizard's suggestion for someone else above.
Nice will give em a try this weekend. Can you add Patch Lvl, cause all other Roms are outdated ATM.
Will u release every month an update?
