A3 2017 How can I remove pre-installed apps and which ones can I ? - Samsung Galaxy A3, A5, A7 (2017) Questions & Answe

Hey,
As you may know Samsung A3's internal storage does only have 16gb. Moreover there are many and many pre-installed apps in it and I end up out of memory very fast.
So I need your help to delete those apps, I am rooted. I also want to know which ones I can delete safe without causing trouble to the phone.
Thanks.

Use Package Disabler Pro from the Play Store. It is specifically made for Samsung devices and you can disable all unused apps. Battery life will greatly increase.

remove bloatware?

Please can someone help me and explain to a newbie the best way to remove the bloat ware and the why and how of freezing apps, because of all your help I have decided to invest in the tab s instead of the note 10.1 2014.
and also can u still use 4 way multiwindow & floating multiwindow on the tab s
i thank u all for your time:good:
This topic has been brought up so many times it's ridiculously shameful of Samsung to continue practising this when consumer consensus shows that everyone hates bloatware. Even Samsung's homeland Korea sued the company for preinstalling bloatware that can't be uninstalled and they've won. Americans should do the same fight back.
Anyhow, the only way you can completely remove the bloatware is to root your device first and delete them manually. The 2nd alternative without rooting is to disable the app and if that can't be done the only thing is to hide them. Disabling or hiding is still obtrusive because it's still taking up memory and may still be running in the background.
The 12.2" pro can do 4 windows multitasking. So far this 10.5 can only do 2 windows at at time.
which apps are regarded as bloat?

Pretty sure if you disable them they don't run anymore. But not all apps can be disabled without root.
Anyway, without the ability to resize the partitions, deleting them doesn't give us back any device memory. So root and use Titanium Backup to freeze those unneeded crap.
Of course, some brave soul who can figure out what crap can be frozen safely will also help.

[Q] Low Internal space after Lollipop update

After update to lollipop my HTC desire 816 dual SIM has 1.2 gb less internal memory space.Previously it has 3.95 gb internal space now only 2.75 gb.What is your experience friends?
Frustrating.Nobody wants to share how much internal space they have left after lollipop update.
I have had space issues ever since I got this phone. It's even worse when I updated to lollipop. I literally have only about 7 downloaded apps. The rest of my space is taken up by stock apps etc. I think my user apps account for 1gb.. Here's a screenie
Mine also 1gb....???
Now we can't update apps or install new apps from playstore.
Why still no move complete data to sd even after lollipop??if possibile we all can gain space..so anyone try to find the method..
Stock Apps
I'm thinking of rooting my phone to have a clear out of the stock apps because after the lollipop update I have <500mb remaining storage.
I have gone through the stock apps and calculated I can free up 300+
I was just wondering, I know HTC advises against removing stock apps but what are the actual consequences of uninstalling these apps?
Apps like Twitter and Hangouts I have no problem removing because I know exactly what they are for and will not be using them (plus if I ever change my mind they are available in the app store). It is the apps below I am unsure about:
1. Internet Browser (82mb) - I have Google Chrome installed so do not require 2 browsers.
2. Google Play Services (125mb) - I update ALL of my apps manually and do not require auto-update assistance.
3. Cloud Print, Dot View, My Google Drive, HTC Account, Push Client, HTC Guide
Are there any major consequences of removing these apps?
Thanks guys
Google Play Services does a lot more than just updating your apps, so do not uninstall it!
Can anybody give a list of the apps that can be uninstalled without troubles, I need to make room for my apps on this [email protected]#$ phone ?
I wish we could integrated updates into system apps, but it seems to never work

If you're rooted then you can disable write protection setup additional partition on SDcard and run link2SD.
If you don't want to root your phone the only option is to stop and disable the app then uninstall updates. That should save you some space and prevent the updates from downloading.
I had the same issue on my Moto E (XT1021). The update process gave a warning of what space was required but I hadn't checked. My spare space in internal memory was almost wiped out.
As a retired chap I wasn't likely to rush out and buy a new phone with more memory. I had just bought mine less than a year ago. So I looked at what I needed and how to get more memory back. This brought me to the idea of binning what Google stuff I can and installing 3rd party apps that can be moved to the SD card. I replaced the likes of Chrome, Camera, Gallery, Photo also 'removing' Drive, Books, Games, Music, Newstand, Text-to-Speech, Hangouts, Maps, Quickoffice, Street View, Talkback, Cloud Print and much of the Motorola stuff like Assist, Alert. 'removing' means uninstalling the app updates in 'Settings'
As a result I now have 700Mb free in internal memory. I'm looking to replace the supplied email and calendar apps with 3rd party stuff but many (most?) can't be moved to SD card.
PS. My phone worked fine after the update but my wife's Moto E will re-optimise after every power-up. I haven't the heart to tell her I might have to factory-reset it - not just yet
Hope the above helps!
Pete
same problem here
update required
I got less than 0.5 GB, with an SD card formatted as internal memory

Disabling unwanted apps

Hello,
I've decided to come back to Android after seven years using iOS and the one thing that bothers me the most is the excessive amount of preinstalled bloatware (in Samsung devices, to be more precise).
Searching at the forum, I've seen some posts about CCSWE, Package Disabler Pro, and ADB, which seem to do the job.
However, I was looking for a more "lazy" solution to disable such apps, meaning that I do not want to root my device or installing ADB.
Hence, my question is: can I disable every single bloatware by simply accessing Settings > Apps? If not, can either CCSWE or Package Disabler Pro do the trick? Do they need root access?
Thanks in advance for your sage advices

Non of those options require root
Some / most of the bloatware can be disabled from settings > apps > apps info page
Some can't and needs one of the above options

I use PD MDM: https://www.packagedisabler.com/
Buy direct from their site. Been running it for over 3 years, with over 1 year on the 10+, it's stable, very low power consumption.
This is the lazy way plus it will disable apks that you can't kill in settings.
The optional interactive widget allows you to toggle checked apks on/off by touching the widget. Useful for apps like Playstore that you use but don't want running all the time. Will block carrier updates too.
I recommend PD.
Alright, guys.
Thanks for your inputs.

Any way to get rid of Bloatware?

Hi there,
as a new owner of a fantastic Galaxy Tab S7+ I noticed, that there is a lot of Samsung Bloatware on the Tab. Most of it can't be deinstalled and even not deactivated.
Is there any way to get rid of this bloatware?
And which of these apps is save to remove?
On my Huawei P30Pro you can deinstall the bloatware via ADB. Is that possible on the Samsung too?

Yes it is. Here is a link to a website that gives a list of stuff that can be removed via ADB. Obviously you need to tailor it to suit your specific use needs. I dumped a lot of uneeded apps from my tablet using this list. It also gives you pretty thorough instructions and some suggested useful apps.

Question Remove unused apps

I have a S22 in the US (Snapdragon) and I was wondering if there is a way to get rid of the installed apps from Samsung on the device. Like "Messages" and others because I have found other apps that I like better. Without being able to root my device I'm not sure if there is a way to remove the preinstalled apps.
