S7 Active Boot Animations Help? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Questions & Answers

Hey guys, I got a boot animation that I want to use on my rooted S7 active but I want to verify if anyone has successfully installed them on here and what steps they did.
Forgive me but I use to have these on my Droids and S3s (yes it's been a while) but I used clockworkmod and flashed them from rom toolbox pro downloads. Now I see both of those apps are a bit dated.
My question is can I flash those boot animations through another process and if so what steps do I need to follow.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Bootloop with no Recovery/Download mode

Hi everybody,
I'm relatively new to ROMs and I think I've made a mistake. I rooted my phone with CASUAL (because I'm a noob like that), and after about of week of playing around with my new features I decided to try and get a new ROM, CyanogenMod 10.1. I followed a video guide on youtube called "How to install CyanogenMod 10.1 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on the Samsung Galaxy S III/3" (can't post links) and used GooManager to flash the ROM over. The phone rebooted and it took me to a teamwin loading screen followed by a menu with 8 options. I thought it was weird, as it wasn't in the video, but one of the options was "install" so I clicked that, it showed the .zip for the ROM so I hit "flash". It rebooted again now and now continuously displays the spinning loading screen for CyanogenMod. I remember reading something something about CM 10 not working with ICS bootloaders, but all of the guides I read about flashing CM made no mention of it, so I didn't think much of it. Is this my problem?
I made a ROM backup with CWM Recovery, app and data backups with Titanium root, and even backed up my EFS folder, so I'm not worried about any data loss involved in a factory wipe or reset, but I need help getting there. I've read things about a USB jig, is this what I need to do? If so, , do I just need to make/buy and plug in the jig? What do I do afterwards?
Any and all help will be appreciated

If it does anything it isn't a hard brick. Never use rom manager or goo manager to flash something. That is a sure fire way to kill your phone.
If it was an out of date boot loader it wouldn't have flashed.
By the sounds of if your bootloop is from not wiping.

Everything you need to know is there. Pay close attention to step 5a it's proper wiping for twrp. Re wipe, re flash and you'll be fine. Don't forget to flash the gappps. Those videos are good and bad. Especially if you have no idea what you're doing it's a real fast way to a brick.

[Q] Status 7 error and cannot find my way around

I have searched multiple times and can find many thread on this subject but I am lost.
I have a SIII SGH-I747M (Bell). It is rooted with CWM 6.0.3.6. I was getting Status 7 error when attempting to put Cyanogen MOD 10.1. I attempted to update the CWM and found about that the available systems had been S3 metrPC. I am not sure what I should do now and am completely lost. I tried to install a flashable CWM but was getting the same Status 7 Error. I am not sure if I should remove CWM (not sure how to) and install Team Win Recovery project. any help would be appreciated?

I had the same problem and spent a good amount of time this weekend troubleshooting.

You basically need to update your phone's bootloader. There are a lot of threads about this subject if you dig.
Unlocking, rooting and flashing Custom recovery & custom ROM (S III SGH-I747M)
After few days of working on this project I can summarize what I have done, though a few issues remained for me. I summarize them here so one can follow.
This is a for a Samsung S III - SGH-I747(M). I believe one can follow through by using the appropriate files for his/her own device. Make sure to read the original thread thoroughly (even multiple time)
THIS IS DANGEROUS AND MIGHT DAMAGE YOUR DEVICE. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
1- Back up your system according to STEP 1 on this post.
2- Follow the post by OWL74 to unlock your device. This worked only on Jelly bean 4.1.1 so I need to flash Stock ROM 4.1.1 by ODIN. I found the appropriate stock ROM from http://www.sammobile.com/. You can follow Step "3" and "4" on post to do that. If you have a different stock recovery (like CWM or TWRP) start from step "2". Make sure to wipe your device according to STEP 5A on this post before flashing a ROM.
3- Root your device according to STEP 2 on this post.
4- I had used CWM on my SII device but this time it messed up my SIII SGH-I747 becuase there was no update for that particular device.
Instead I used TWRP. I browsed their website and used the closes match to my device which was galaxy SIII - AT&T (I have Samsung Galaxy SIII - from Bell.) and used the ODIN flashable .tar file.
5- Follow STEP 5A, STEP 5B to flash your ROM. I had problem flashing Cyanogen MOD so I chose AOKP and it went smoothly.
Many Thanks go to xBeerdroiDx, doovd, owl74, meanhacker, mrRobinson, <:GeeK:>. Their detailed explanation was very helpful.

Thank you. I followed a few other threads (summarized above). I managed to get AOKP installed but I still have some other problem getting Cyanogen MOD flashing. At this time I will stick with AOKP.

[4.4.2][CWM Recovery][E98020h]LG Optimus G Pro CWM Recovery Error/FreeGee Error!

Recently, I have been introduced to Android Rooting and I have successfully rooted my phone with Towelroot. My friend installed Cyanogenmod 11 on his Galaxy S3 the other day and I have been having many problems doing the process myself. I have ripped xdadevelopers to pieces trying to find a solution, but nothing has ever been simple enough, well really efficient enough to fix my problem.
I have ROM Manager installed on my device and the latest CWM Recovery and when I get to the "Recovery" mode it does not give me all the options a normal "Recovery" screen would give me. I can not backup my current stock rom because there is no option. In doing this I accidentally wiped my phone and had no way to recover, so I lost a lot of temporary things, very frustrating.
Basically what I need to know is how to get CWM Recovery to work on my device, etc. Also I forgot to mention before that FreeGee messes up too. It says something about "loki" or something. I am sick of trying several methods that fail in the end. If you can tell me how to get CWM Recovery to work on my phone. I do have an SD Card and my phone is rooted. Please help me! I apologize if all the information is not present, but if you need to know anything specific I would be more than happy to answer your question!

Have you tried installing the recovery from G.Pro Recovery first? Freegee will not work for me, giving me similar errors, until I first do that. See the to the Bountyman G3 v4.x thread under 'Optimus G Pro Android Development' for more info. Works for me every time (though I choose TWRP; friggin' *hate* CWM).

[Solved] Help with possibly bricked SGH-T889 Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Long story short, I haven't done any of this stuff for a long time.
I did stuff here: .teamandroid.com/2016/03/08/update-tmobile-galaxy-note-2-t889-android-601-resurrection-remix-marshmallow-custom-rom/2/
I followed the instructions but I think where my hiccup happened was for whatever reason, CWM didn't install it's custom recovery system even though it said it had. So I'm stuck at 3e restore. However, in my stupidity and haste, I already wiped the data because I thought I was already in the CWM menu and didn't realize the 3e system would look so similar to the screen shots. Now I can't install the custom roms because they're not signatured, and I can't install a way to bypass the signature because that stuff is also not signatured. The only access I currently have to my phone is now through an ADB Sideload functionality using my PC.
Trying to at least get back to square one, or is there a way I can flash the CWM recovery system from this location?
Thanks for any help, not sure how to proceed from here (phone has no OS on it)
Nevermind, it restored the old OS
EDIT: For future reference and for those wondering what happened, the root didn't take correctly the first time so the CWM didn't flash properly. After verifying the root and updating SuperSU to kill knox, it was no problem. Flashed 100% perfect like it should have the first time. Dumb user error on my part.

Problems with rooting Galaxy S9 (Android 10 Exynos SM-G960F)

Hi, this is My first post here, so be gentle.
My old Oneplus died and I bought a used Samsung Galaxy S9. I tested the phone with an original OS and it worked fine.
Yesterday I decided to root it (there are a few features that need root and I need those features almost daily). I searched for information about the procedure (this wasn't My first root) and found a few threads where this guide was suggested:
How to Root Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus (Exynos)
Do you want to root your Galaxy S9/S9 Plus flagship? Well, you just landed in the right place for the job. This tutorial will help you install TWRP recovery and root Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9…
www.thecustomdroid.com
Long story short: I followed those instructions and managed to root my S9. It booted up as it should and everything was working fine. I used Magisk V25.0 and root checker informed that the phone was rooted successfully.
Today I decided to debloat it and after that, I would start to use it as my main phone.
I ran across many threads that suggested using the "ADB + Fastboot" method for debloading the device. At this point, I started to feel uncomfortable because I had some issues with ADB back in the day when I was rooting my Oneplus. I decided to try it and guess what - it didn't work. I still don't know why, but ADB fastboot wasn't able to find my S9. I double-check that everything was as it should be, usb-debugging was ON and my PC did see my phone when connected to the PC via USB cable.
So I gave up on that and decided that maybe I'll just shut those unwanted apps down from the phone's settings (settings ---> apps etc).
At this point, I power off the phone. Just a basic thing to me when sleeping or something like that.
Now, the phone is in bootloop.
I can boot in the TRWP mode and flash magisk/wipe data etc. but nothing seems to help. It won't boot to OS. I've tried to root it again with the instructions above and everything went fine, but bootloop stays. I've wiped cache partition and performed a factory reset - did not help.
Can someone help me...? Is there a way to flash stock OS or somehow get the device work again? My experience with rooting is low, but I've successfully rooted five phones before this. I've experienced a few bootloops before, but those were my mistakes that were fixed with re-flashing magisk or something similar. Now I simply don't know what is the issue. =(
PS. This is a great forum and I've found tons of help from the XDA forum. Thank you to everyone, who has shared his/her information and helped with smartphones in the past! Great society.

I manage to solve this all by my self.
I flashed to stock firmware using frija and odin. After flashing updated all the apps and rebooted couple of times (just to be sure that phone works). After that flashed TWRP with odin, rebooted to recovery and rooted with Magisk (followed step-by-step guide fron xda forum).
Now this works like a dream.
