Only glass screen I've found to work with a case is Verizon's. Expensive no warranty, but installation is brainless. A very good fit, not edge to edge but that's why it works.

screen protector for home button and camera lens

the screen protectors i've seen have cutouts in them that leave the home button and lens exposed. is there a place to find these.
i tried to cut out pieces of a regular screen protector but its so damn annoying trying to get the precise size. i wasted two of these so far. arrrgh!
I got mine off eBay. About US$3.00 shipped for 5 pieces from Hong Kong.

Screen Quality
Hi, besides some issues with the screen sensitivity, does anyone see a difference in the screen quality while using a screen protector?

depends on the screen protector, with all of them you likely to get a rainbow effect due to grease etc.

There's always the SGP Ultra Oleophobic which is more fingerprint resistant. Check it out here: http://www.sgpstore.com/cell-phone/...amsung-galaxy-s2-screen-protector-series.html

Allright, thanks again! I still haven't got the one I ordered, so no testing with it, but as aforementioned, if there's even the slightest degradation of the display quality, I'll order one of those.
I still have the stock home button protector on even if it looks ugly. For the camera I used the ones that came with my SGP screen protector.

When I got one, yes it was, just to have that extra protection. However, ive since had to take it off because i tend to use my phone at night which is when the rainbow effect is most visible.
My galaxy s2 already had a home button film on it thought it was standard? Myabe cause mine is from Bell?

using a sheet of gorillaglass as a screen protector

hi i was wondering if you buy a galaxy note front glass only and apply some silicone glue to it can you use it as a screen protector here is a link http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-GT-...sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1351699974&sr=8-1-spell
This probably won't work, they thin layer between the two sheets of gorilla glass will cause problems with registering your finger, especially if there is silicone in the way

You may want to look at the Spigen GLAS.t; same idea as what your talking about. It's chemically hardened glass, not gorilla glass, but it works fine over top of the regular screen. It does cost a bit more than what you linked to.

Demonstrated by Erica in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqWCTkVe_EY&list=UUB2527zGV3A0Km_quJiUaeQ&index=23&feature=plcp :victory::highfive:
Exactly - Spigen or this other one (there was another one, cheaper). Right now your idea doesn't make sense. Using the front glass as a screen protector? What for? If I bought a front glass I would simply stop using screen protector altogether and just change my front glass for the one I bought when my original glass gets too damaged.

Good glass screen protectors still available?

I used to use Spigens GLAS.tr protector, but they seem to have stopped making them, and the GLAS.t ones don't have rounded edges and crack/crumble easily.
I found that they (both types) worked pretty flawlessly and I couldn't even tell a protector was on my screen and my finger slid around it as easy as it would the actual screen.
I've yet to try any other brands, does anyone have any recommendations? Preferibly not as expensive as Spigen, because I'll probably buy 2 or 3 as I will inevitably mess up application of them.
Thanks in advance.

I currently use this one, it's a China glass screen protector. I don't have any problems from buying, but I asked for a replacement and they gladly sent one. It's only a couple of dollars, so I went with it.

Why not just get it from the manufacturer site?
https://www.i-blason.com/galaxy-s8-plus-cases.html
(just saying)
Damn, just bought the Whitestone Dome screen protector - think this i-Blason case might have been a better pick for the money.
ive been using this case for about 3 weeks now. its a fantastic case. the built in screen protector isnt terrible, but some spots do create and air gap between the protector and the screen. when i first put it on it was fantastic. sadly after taking it off a few times to use my gear vr the gap has been getting a little worse each time. where there isnt a gap is just as responsive as a glass protector.

Screen protectors for the outside screen?

I think I've only seen one of them on Amazon so far (this one). It looks like it might be fine - but I'm not sure $36 is where I want to be. I'm hoping we'll see some more options pop up soon.
Anyone seen anything else yet?
I'm really thinking I want something on there considering that the Flex Mode will basically be resting on the screen side whenever you use it (or you'd get a wobble on the cameras).
Whitestone just came out with one on their website.

Thanks, just purchased with the discount code Newproduct20. It was $36. I love it on my Note 10, so I'll give it a try.
So I’m assuming the stock screen protector has to be removed for the Whitestone?
The outside screen protector is no problem. It's the inner one they caution against removing.

I chickened out. I cancelled the Whitestone one. I will leave it as is for a while. The Whitestone install video looks pretty complicated. I will see other reviews first. Feel like if I take off the pre installed one I might be sorry.
That video is pretty intense.
I see Verizon has a screen protector. I hope a better quality one becomes available.

If it has a factory installed protector on it, leave it on until it wears out. They provide better protection than you might first think.
Ha-ha I "tested" the one on my 10+ the 2and day I had it and faceplanted it on a rough piece of 1/16th inch aluminum angled upwards.
Marred the protector but no damage to the screen... it hit on the curved glass area, hard.
Sand will scratch these screens.
I would lean towards a wet apply urethane screen protector as they are durable, remain clear, fairly easy to apply, bubble free, self healing and are inexpensive.
Been having a good run with Gorilla IQ Sheild on my 10+. Bought 4 three months ago and still on the first one. Shows some wear on the keypad area but no scratches and I'm not babying it. Similar in feel to the factory installed protector.

Do you know if this is necessary on the fold 2? The only reason I buy whitestone tempered glass for my samsung phones is because the screen is curved and whitestone makes the best glass for curved screens. If the z Fold 2 doesn't have a curved front screen, then I think most tempered glass screen protectors should work.
So I guess my main question is, does the z fold 2 have a curve to the front screen?

The screen protector is for the outer screen, you dont need a protector for inside screen. Whitestone is a good company, sadly the code did not work for me. Did anyone get lucky yet?

Sorry just saw your question. Yes the z Fold 2 has one side of the front screen slightly curved. The side that opens to be specific.
Whitestone code no longer works. As soon as people started using it they yanked it.
Anyone using the Whitestone protector? They're sold out.

Because of the edges of the glass. I can feel the edges when playing games
Just received the Whitestone screen protector and installed it. It lined up perfectly with the hole punch camera, but doesn't quite cover the entire front glass. Had no adhesive dribble out on to my phone. But, did have to move the holder around to get the adhesive to fully disperse. I'm now just hoping that the first case I put on (when one of the five I ordered arrives), doesn't break the screen protector.
