Hi XDA,
For as long as I can remember I had my phones naked and without screen protectors or cases, but since this phone is expensive and I wanted to keep it nice for a change I figured I'd install a screen protector to protect against scratches.
Now, the edges of this thing have been chipping/crumbling and it looks hideous. Is this normal?

Since your photo isn't loading for me, hard to say, but I have used numerous tempered glass protectors and haven't had that issue. Sounds like you have a bad protector.

In the past I've had phone with screen protector without a case. I'm thinking your edges are rubbing on something. Grab a case with a lip and I promise you your problem is solve
Where did you buy that screen protector? Does not look like a quality one.

The cost is 12 euros without shipping, and the quality is great. Package includes 2 protectors, a cleaning cloth, an applying card for air bubbles and dust removal stickers if dust is trapped between the glass and the protector.
It is highly resistant to fingerprints, but they can still be seen under a light. However, cleaning is very easy, with just a swipe using any fabric material. So far I am impressed. Clarity is certainly better than stock. I don't kbow how resistant to shattering the screen is now, anyone can give me an idea?

I've found them on amazon and spigen.com at $13,99 (€10,89) a set.
I couldn't find it on eBay,found just for iPhone.
Too bad, I really thought that could be o.k.

None you'll have to spend more than that to get one... Unless you want to wait weeks then you can pay around 15

Best thing to do is to have a look in places like amazon, then look at reviews of them on here.

this seems VERY THICK!
from what i heard the Mime ghost (0.3mm) doesn't fully work with the diztronic and is causing a lift.
i cannot confirm this, but im just letting you know.
the Mime Feather (0.15) however is said to fit here, perfectly. and is alot more expensive tho.

This is really cheap but good quality gel skin. All the cut outs are in right place and align. Its really tight so it fits and hold really good. You can choose from different colour variations. For this money you can't get wrong
Good set up. So far I'm waiting on a screen protector. I thought I would be fine without a case but something like this case would be good.
Too bad they don't ship that case to the US...

I would say yes.but cos its so cheap the piece from piece may differ
I want a Full tempered glass screen protector. So far, all I have seen are ones that are slightly smaller. This is due to the cambered edges. I guess it might not be possible but if anyone found one that works, please let me know. Thanks.

I've tried one of those, they are terrible. Only the edges have adhesive unlike a normal tempered glass protector. This in turn leaves an air gap between the screen and screen protector, making it look just awful.

Thanks for testing and reporting on these. Sorry it didn't work out for you.
I got case and temp.glass from Patchworks
One of the best cases that i use on G5, and for G6 also is perfect case. Soft case that look so nice and give very good feel in hand. Case is super soft.
Tempered glass is very good, cover all screen. Just dont cover front camera and "loudspeaker". I try temp.glass with 3 cases, and i dont have problem with any.
