Wireless adapter - Huawei P9 Accessories

Has anyone used a Nillkin wireless charging receiver with a P9 ? Does it fit under a case ?

Well, think about it. What kind of case do u have?
Do u really want wireless charging an u can't use you usb-c port? As example: you want to get some photos from your phone to your computer?
Guess you can unplug it and do this over and over whenever u want to.
It is 1.6mm thin so imo. some cases will fit with it and some are not.. When u use a silicon case I think it will fit.
But is it worth all this? You have to decide this and if you fon't like it, may you can send this back?
All in all I have never tried it for several reasons, if you want it really bad, then buy it.
If you can live without it, why you want to have it?
May you also buy a new phone where this is already included?
Oh before i forget.. may the charging speed gets slower.
All in all i have never tried it on a p9, but imo. it is sensless, but you should decide what you want, I've only listed some things I think when i read this post.
Good luck and if you buy it tell me please how it works. :3

Hi,
I'm using a nillkin magic tag and a Samsung wireless charger. It works like a charm, and i dont see any problem having the usb -c port used by the tag...sync files and photos with google acount and and info available on computer....

Official Galaxy S2 Desktop Dock

Does anyone know of an alternative source for this dock?
I've had it on order for a couple of weeks now, but it's still showing up as out of stock - more due shortly
Can't seem to find anywhere else that's doing it!
Thx
Bought mine from an ebay reseller and it came in a week from South Korea..
http://www.exportprive.com/samsung-desktop-charging-dock-galaxy-i9100-p-16416.html
ordered spare battery, in the uk within a week
Thanks for that both....
@benjatt - When you searched on the exportprive site for it and it gave you that price.....was that the total price, inc postage etc? It works out 2 or 3 quid extra from them but if that includes the postage as well, I'll cancel my order with mobilefun and order it from exportprive instead, as I rang MF today and they said the next shipment should be in around the 8th July (the last one that should've arrived last Monday, never turned up at all!!)
@chybinj - exportprive are based in S Korea it seems, so your item might have come from their ebay shop!
If you think you can sync data or connect with this device, stay away from this. Yes, I do have it with a gold pack SGS II...
But you can not connect to PC nor sync with it. It is just a stylish charger device for desktop that's all... It does not have own speakers it just a bigger hole that increase sound a bit also.
I was really disappointed that it can not connect at all.. Was hoping for that...

Nope.....don't want to sync or anything...just want a nice and easy 'in-out' sliding action, into a good-looking bedside dock/charger (which, judging by the various vids I've seen of this device, it seems to give....) My current one, clunks in and out of the protruding micro-usb spiggot.....and echo's loudly off my bedside cabinet in doing so....which deffo isn't appreciated by my 'better-half', at 4.30am.....
Do ya want to get rid of yours by any chance...?
price and non sync ability is such a turn off....

Ah no, it is still good "desktop clock" (it has a desktop clock function built-in within the phone -- different type of idle screen)
However, glad I did not pay anything for it extra other than phone's cost.
I can recommend this one for everybody. It is so good. Already ordered another one for my work place.
And then the one question which everybody has been thinking: Does the phone fit there if using official Samsung back cover..
I should get the cover today, so I will try it as soon as possible. Stay tuned!
i also want to buy this desktop charger but i dont know if the phone is going to fit because i am using the skinomi body skin.
Does anyone know if the phone fits to this desktop charger with the skin

To all those asking about fit, it's tight. I have a protective skin on mine and it just barely makes it. Anything thicker than a protector won't work.
Bought one of these from Amazon, which was supplied by expansys, even though it said delivery delays it turned up in 3 days, then they reduced to 29.95 so I ordered another one again turned up in 3 days.
Excellent bit of kit, really nice for the bed side table to.
Shame thing it does not support usb connection

May we hope in some fix on the phone os to enable sync functionality?
Will having the S2 attached to the official dock all the time when being at home affect battery life?
Feel like spamming every dock thread with this question.

I think we must open this dock and cut shorted pins in micro usb plug.
Shorted pins make phone thinking that's an accesory, not USB cable...
Hey guys, I got an official S2 dock, very nice but what a shame, it doesn't sync!!!!!
Anyone has tried something like this??

Official Samsung Epic 4G Touch D710 car mount review

I just received and installed the official Samsung car mount. Physically, it has incredible build quality. Both the suction piece and the actual arm look and feel as if they were designed to withstand people trying to break it. The aesthetics are also top notch. Performance is what I was looking for. I no longer have to plug in my headphone jack into my phone every time I get in the car. I can now pop my phone in and leave Pandora running with the screen on without worrying about being distracted when changing songs or draining battery life. The adjustments available are perfect for me since I mounted mines on the windshield. If you want to mount it somewhere else using the plastic dash piece they give you, the fixed arm and adjustable joint may not provide you with as much mobility as you'd need--depending on where you mount it.
This dock is easily worth the $36 I paid for it, that much I know for certain. I have a similar dock from when I had my iPhone 3GS and it looks flimsy and cheap compared to the Samsung mount even though both cost approximately the same. For the price, the dock and charger combo are hard to beat. It's also a lot more convenient to use than a dock that doesn't have the phone connections built in.
All in all, I'm incredibly satisfied with the purchase.
In case you're wondering how it hooks up, here's a youtube link for the T-mobile Galaxy S2 that another user posted. The Sprint version is exactly the same, except for adjustments made to the flexible plastic to fit our phone.

No problem. Be sure to note that it may not fit your phone if you use a case. I haven't pushed the charger yet to see how much of a load it can handle before the energy use by the phone outpaces the power supplied by the charger. Thus far, I've only run Pandora with the screen on a 100% of the time and it still charged the phone a good amount. I'm hoping I eventually get the chance to test out google maps or navigation with pandora running to see how the charger holds up against that type of drain.
i have this, very happy with it so far.
Question: How does the phone know it's docked to activate Car Mode? Is there a magnet in the dock that the phone picks up on like the old DROIDs?
Based on this review, I've ordered one of the mounts for myself. I'll report back when it comes in!

I believe it detects a certain resistance or short across a couple of the USB pins.

Very cool. I wonder what the charging pad looks like.
Also, while this will fit under your otterbox I don't know if it will actually charge it through it. Worth the $45 though!
for 45$ and a drop in solution i am willing to try and test it...
This looks like a damn good price tbh. $68 for a receiver and charger is cheaper than any qi combo that I know of currently.
The bonus is that it's also Qi technology so even if you change your s3 out, you should be able to get another phone that has qi tech in it or even modify that charging pad to work on other electronic devices (with some copper tape/wire)

Thats exactly what i was thinking.. The odd fact that i just so happend to find this today and apparently it just went live today i am pretty excited to snag it at this price.
But As im sure the capabilities to wirelessly charge are inevitably going to be included in future phones it isnt like this tech is likely going to be easily replaced. And it also seems like Samsung is going to abandon using our phones tech as wireless charging.. or at least thats what i gathered from thsi article..
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/03/11/samsung_s4/
the thing w/ samsung and wireless charging is that they really have no idea who the hell they're really going to back. Yes, Samsung co-founded A4WP, but they're also member of Qi's group as well.
To me, it just looks like they're sitting on the fence and waiting to see who will come out as the standard before going all in. I also don't think Samsung will build it into the phone itself due to its current ambivalence on the 2 standards and most likely leave it open like the s3 and note 2.
While the article talks about a4wp having a few cm of range, he also did not mention that a newer revision of Qi offers up to 4cm of range as well (last I checked).
I don't care much for too much range for wireless charging, just enough so that any non-ferrous case will charge regardless of thickness. I have a Qi set and it has so far worked with the ballisitc SG (although it Can get picky, but that's due to the fact that I also modified the charger to be at a 45 degree angle and the case's bottom lip [on the hard plastic side] curved up a little for no reason)

Right that much i understand...
I was holding out for the wireless charging where i didnt need to have it directly on the base. and every few months i search around for a viable option.
So far, since my free time is limited, this seems like the best all in one solution that doesnt require me to change my case, and its a good price.

The stealth one, and the one built into a battery cover can be found on a different site for only about $15.
this one comes with a charger as well.. which would cost 50-60 usd more. so it's a good deal.

Well.. I bought mine for $47.90 with the charger and receiver, so if your willing to spend just another $2 then you can get that with less of the wait.

i got it. i know i could make a set with the palm pixie stuff, i priced it out on amazon and total with a charging dock its like 20$... but i dont have the time to. im only actually home about 3 days a month. id rather be lazy..
Just an FYI i got my wireless charging kit from this company and it works great. Its a small device that attaches to the back of the stock battery. Its very small and it fits perfectly, very small buldge from the device but the back case fits on fine and my otterbox fits it perfectly.
the best part, it works with the stock otterbox. there were no issues with wireless charging whatsoever.
How is this one any different than any of the other wireless IQ receiver pads & chargers for the s3?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747
That it works with all variants, doesnt require you to change out your battery door, although they offer a solution for it, and its pad and reciever for 40$

Docking Station

Hi,
so soon my nexus will be here and after over 6 years with iPhone I'm moving to try android.
one think i always loved about my iphone is the docking station, makes life better and easier.
now with the iphone its very easy to find docking station that fit 100% right, and then i dont have to worry about damage to the charging port, the phone is held up very tight and i never had any problem.
on the android camp its harder to find phone specific accessories so heres what i manage to find:
im looking for a cheap solution but can pay a little more if its really worth it
cheap:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Micro-USB-D...AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item2ecab22c6d
expensive:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-M...Phone_PDA_Cables_Adapters&hash=item43c158ab0c
the expensive one at least comes with a cable, and heres a video i found that shows that this product might be a better choice:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTyGmNTh6iA
i just dont want the device to wobble freely hanging only by the usb connector.
i also hear that micro usb is much weaker then apple connectors so im a bit worried.
any1 have any experince with such products? what do u think? am i risking damage to my usb port? thanks.

IMHO ... yes, you are risking damaging the port. I personally wouldn't even consider using one as I've gone through a bunch of phones that the Micro-USB eventually stopped working properly. The Nexus one was notorious for that problem as have been quite a few other devices. Micro-USB just doesn't hold up over time.
Now, back to your problem. One thing the Nexus 5 has over the iPhone is Qi Wireless charging. So, might I suggest stop thinking in terms of how you would plugin in your iPhone to charge it, and to sync it with iTunes. All of this can be done using apps that sync wirelessly (iSyncr etc) and a good Qi charger.
Here's a good starting point for a "dock" like standing position while your N5 charges:
http://www.amazon.com/Nokia-DT910-Wireless-Charging-Stand/dp/B00A3NCC8M
It's important for you to note the orientation of the Micro USB port on the phone. On nexus devices reversed compared to the samsung phones those docks are for. I own the dock on the first link. It will not work with the Nexus.
You need one that's pin-side facing you. Unless you want the phone facing away from you
It's an annoying aspect of the Micro USB standard -- when it comes to direction, there is no standard.
DIY: Not ideal because it doesn't LOOK great but does WORK great. I bought the dock from that first link for my S3 and because of its 'universal'ness it was extremely wobbly, putting much undue strain on the port. I stuck a couple wads of Sugru down on the dock and behind the connector (where the phones back would rest) and stuck my phone in. When it dried after 30 minutes I had a perfect custom fit. Looked like **** though. Function over form in this case.

this...
but this is also a relatively new thing as the Nexus 4 was the "standard" way that everyone is used to (small side up where the Nexus 5 flipped it to small side down)
For charging, I would recomend the Google's wireless charger: https://play.google.com/store/devices/details/Nexus_Wireless_Charger?id=nexus_wireless_charger. As for syncing, what kind of things are you going to sync from your computer to your phone? On the android side the majority of things can/are synced over wifi or cloud services.

Thanks for all the answers...
I didn't think about orientation lol, i forgot about this issue.. so docking stations seems meh ATM
about wireless chargers... quite expensive IMO and i always fear that since the phone is not being held tightly it might fall and break.
i put my phone on a nightstand near my bed so accidents in the dark could happen, and i also like it when the phone is standing so i can see the screen without picking it up.
so that limits the range of wireless chargers i can use.
syncing is not a problem btw.
good thing i asked here.. i almost bought one of those. i guess ill try to find wireless one that suites me.
thanks again!

Use Inductive charging Pixel C

Hi everybody ,
What do u guys think... Would it be possible to use the inductive charging of the pixel c to charge your phone?
The keyboard uses it after all so why can't it be used on a phone i would say......
I don't own a keyboard myself so i can't really test.
Some questions i have are where the coil is placed exactly and what triggers it to start charging.....
I searched around the web a little for a disassembly but couldn't find any at the moment so it's hard to say....
If somebody can test or tell some more maybe we can somehow activate it, it would be a nice nifty feature imho.
...No. There are some many reasons I wouldn't work I don't know where I'd start.

Just saying "No" and "there are so many reasons" is not really helpful or explaining..... Do u know how it works? What kind of protocol is used? What triggers it? If not..., I understand why u don't know where to start. If u do...., Please give it a try..
Using my tablet as a external battery with wireless charging does sound pretty cool and useful imho...
You can extract the circuit board from the keyboard, extract the charging part, analyse it and create a schematic.
Then, you can rebuild it using your own components and make a case for your phone out of it (when it even outputs 5V)

I know the thread is old (as much of Pixel C forum is). But did you ever find an application? Perhaps buying a used as-is for parts oem keyboard and using it as a guinea pig.
I was thinking perhaps use it's induction charging coil/mechanism transplanted into another cheaper/working generic bluetooth keyboard..
