Impossible now, Synaptics touchscreen doesnt support it.

I tried to flash the kernel over the latest china dev rom miui4.4 and it gave me a hard time to restore the tablet back to life. After flashing when rebooted, it just shut down after the MI logo upfront. Everytime pressed power button to wake and all it did was show the logo and seconds after it shut down.
Had to flash the stock kernel back to restore

I am having the same wifi connection "issue" like I did with 0.3:
when waking the MiPad from deep sleep wifi is Disabled and if you manually turn it on, it doesn't find any networks and turns wifi off eventually, you just have to wait like 15 secs and the mipad will enable the wifi by itself and connect. Running LOS14 with new blobs. Not a big problem but this didn't happen with LOS14 default kernel and wifi connected much faster after deep sleep, automatically.

Try to wait 10-15 seconds after it shows MI logo. It is normal that display shuts down after logo.

Excellent kernel... Feeling the ultimate power of mipad

Im using version 0.3 on rr 13, is this the same version? cause there is no download link

I left it for 15 mins and yet no activity, complete shut down. And funny thing is, once its shutdown, then if you want to go to recovery or fastboot mode, you cannot simply press the combination keys to do it. You firdt power the device on by pressing single power key, then at Mi logo, press either up or down volume to go where u want ???

Ok, i know what is the problem. I'll release fix soon.

for 0.5 with RR-N, it will reboot after screen off.
0.4.2 work fine without this issue.

Fixed. I'll announce when 0.5 final will be ready.

0.5 U and R are here.

The new kernels are better but I still get "corrupted sdcard" messages
Sent from my MI PAD using Tapatalk

What's the difference between U and R?

He damn serious????
Btw, i used kernel 0.5u on cm11 and slimkat4.4, performance drops to just 66k+ in antutu giving mere 20k for cpu and 25k for 3d.

You can hit the "Reset" button or try to Enable "WIFI" and it will shut it off.
The only ways I use to boot back into Windows is to use the soft reset button or rip the battery out. However, you might want to update your kernel (zImage) if you cannot successfully shut down with Android, as the newer kernels I've used can now successfully shut down. Information and links on how to upgrade your kernel can be found at the Rhodium Android Wiki.
Wifi not working can be a benefit - If you try to turn on the Wifi in some builds, it causes a full crash that turns off the phone. Press power again and u have a full reboot. The latest 2/8/10 image shows this behavior
it does not let me add wifi and when i tell the device to reboot it freezes.
...........................help.
NO. You can not just 'boot back into windows'. You need to restart the phone. Push Reset or pull the battery, or as some have suggested, try the enable wifi 'trick'.
Wifi trick is gone in the 02/15 build..
with the newest build, you can hold down the hangup button until a menu shows up for shutdown.

Thanks for the tip

glad it actually shuts down properly now and no longer just crashes, on wifi or end key.

I am as well. This makes having Android on my phone much more useful. I can still experiement with a lot of the software without having to pull the back off the phone (which, let's be honest - is NOT very well implemented in this phone).

[Q] Agni Deep Sleep Screen Doesn't Wake Up

I have tested Agni kernel on several different ROMS such as DN3 V5.5 Dr. Ketan V11 Ultra Note II 1.1.2 but when my screen turns for more than 10 mins it never turns back on whatever I do whether I press power button or home button ultimately I have to reboot my phone by pressing and holding the power off key for long time.
Kernel File Name: PSN_AGNi_pureSTOCK-v4.2.5_N7100_4.4.2-NG4+_AROMA-signed
Another File that I pushed is: PSN_AGNi_MALI400_r3p2_blobs
One More: AGNi_PSN_KiTKaT_extSD_APPS_WRITE_ENABLER
Phone boots up properly works flawlessly but when ever screen turns off for more than 5 - 10 mins it never turns back on.
Even tried the script provided by Mat9v
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2637042
Script_Agni_noOC_1600_533---V7---noUV
But no luck. Any solution is highly appreciated

My phone got frozen while I was reading facebook news. Battery was about 60%. I turned it off, but it doesn't turn on again. It just quickly splashes the "ASUS In search of Incredible/ Powered by Android" and then goes off again.
I tried to get to Recovery Mode by holding volume UP and power buttons, but it didn't even get to the point the device vibrates. I tried the same with volume DOWN as well. No good.
The charging battery icon shows battery is being charged ok.
Is it dead for good?
Thanks

You should always say what model you have as there may be a little difference in how to fix it, I have a 551ML which has 4gb ram so you might be using another model meaning what I tell you can (potentially) brick your device.
Mate, if you have a stock phone that won't start then you probably have a lemon. If you are sure you have done nothing to it then I'd take it back under warranty as you seem to have had problems from the start.
Just to be sure though, you are starting from off, hold volume up and then pressing and holding power. Release power when you get to the first boot logo then release volume up.This should gt you to fastboot mode.

Sorry, my phone is a Z00AD:
- a ZE551ML
- 2Gb of RAM
- 16gb rom
- 1.8ghz Atom Z3560
- Full HD screen
- Build LRX21V.WW-ASUS_Z00AD-2.13.40.13_20150401_8390_user
- Kernel 3.10.20-x86_64_moor-265182-gb0fff5c
- Baseband 1509_5.0.18.00_0320, 1509_7.0.10.0_0320
I forget that there are plenty models of Zenfone 2. And I need to create myself a signature!
By the way, I got it working again.
It still doesn't boot to recovery with the VolUP+Pwr button combination, but it does get to the application again .
From the application, a can use "QuickBoot app" to get me to recovery. On recovery, I get the laid down android with its belly open and a red triagle with an exclamation mark (and some chinese? stuff written below him).
Thanks

Well, the chinese message I see at recovery is:
出错了!
Where 出错 means make mistakes; go wrong
and 了means a particle of a sentence that implies past tense or completion of something
So, it means something went wrong! Or simple "Error!"

That's how you get to recovery. Once you get the android with "Error" in any language underneath, hold power and hit volume up. You might need to do this a couple of times but be aware holding power for approx. 10 secs will turn off phone.

Ahh!!
I can get to FASTBOOT (Bootloader) now!
All instruction I found tell me to hold VolUP+Pwr until the phone vibrates or the boot screen shows up.
BUT my phone does not vibrate! Is it broken?
So, I'm holding VolUP+Pwr for 5 seconds, the I release Pwr (only). It gets me to fastboot, and then I switch to recovery. Then I do "hold power and hit volume up" you said, and I finally can see recovery menu :victory:
Thank you very much!

Xiaomi 6 blackscreen no mi logo

Hey guys, um...after flashing a firmware through recovery, I restarted my xiaomi and the screen was totally black....is there anything that can be done to fix it? I am so worried...
I guess it is a real-brick since the phone is not turning on at all...no logo nothing
Check if you can enter fastboot mode: Turn off the device. Press the Volume– key and the Power button at the same time
Than flash a new ROM with fastboot:
Instructions: http://en.miui.com/thread-736923-1-1.html
ROMs: http://en.miui.com/a-234.html (for LineageOS i recommend "Xiaomi Mi 6 Latest Global Stable Version Fastboot File Download")

Hi!
Do you know what they do? What they fix/replace?
I'm facing the same issue...my screen goes totally black and after some time, it works, but when i press power button or reboot/power off the phone, it goes black again.
I replaced the proximity sensor, but it didn't fix the problem.
Thinking about to replace the LCD Display, but don't know if it'll solve this problem...

Display does not (immediately) turn on after pressing power button

Hi!
When pressing the power button sometimes only the navigation lights turn on but the screen stays black but is activated (meaning I can type and control it blindly). To get the display illuminated again I need to press power twice (to turn display off and again on). This happens as far as tested every three times I sent the phone to sleep locking it. This is happening immediately after installing any ROM. I will test whether this happens also while in Recovery. If, does that mean it is a hardware issue?
Device: I9195
ROM: AOKP Nougat (before I updated to newest stock ROM available)
Recovery: TWRP
Any ideas? I searched the forum but did not find something so far.
Thank you!
