No ROM, No Recovery, No Fastboot or HBOOT ! Help Please - Desire 816 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So basically what happened is that i flash a bad rom on my htc a5dwg. I could boot into TWRP 2.8.7.0 and flashed roms through ADB sideload but all gave me some error and were not flashing. So i flashed TWRP 3.1.1 img. Now i cant Access recovery, nor power and vol down button take me to HBOOT or Fastboot mode. Cant reboot to rom. Stuck at boot screen with HTC logo and the unlocked bootloader warning. I connected my phone to laptop and it does show up in device manager as MTP USB device but i cant use fastboot or ADB commands as it does not show up in the Fastboot ADB device options, Some help would be highly appreciated.

i am having the same problem have you found any way out yet?

Have you tried reflashing stock recovery? Also shouldn't you be in the AT&T One X forum unless of course you have the international version of the One X.
I have tried the stock recovery, but now its in fastboot and won't get recognized by adb on my pc as it did. It just boot loops now at that screen and won't get recognized. And this isn't at. &t

You're suppose to flash stock recovery in fastboot.

First of all ADB only works in RECOVERY mode not directly in bootloader. So do the following steps & instal custom rom (Any1 u like).
1. You need recovery.img in your fastboot directory
2. Go into bootloader and connect phone
3. Then use: "fastboot boot recovery.img" (thus booting your image from pc and not the installed recovery).
4. When in recovery, you can use the adb commands.
5. You can try with "adb devices" which should show you serial of phone.
6. command: adb push rom_rom.zip /sdcard
credits to broncogr for finding that adb works if you use fastboot boot command and to Jotha for helping me out!

[Q] Fastboot not recognized?

Dear all,
After my phone was stuck in a bootloop i've been trying to reflash the recovery which i'm not able to access.
I have used revolutionary and have been using MIUI for a while, further details:
Bravo PVT1 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-6.93.1002
I'm trying to fix this on my moms pc and I notice there's some problems with the adb/fastboot since it gives me an error of a missing AdbWinApi.dll when trying to flash the recovery from android-sdk/tools.
However, the error does not appear when I run fastboot from \platform-tools. Could that be correct? If I do, the command box is waiting for the device and seems to be stuck there. when using the command adb devices, my desire is not listed.
What am I doing wrong here? Thnx!
and fastboot drivers installed?
download here
phone must be in fastboot (power+back button)
try: fastboot devices
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
recovery.img= path/filename of your recovery
Can't access recovery after flash with fastboot
Awesome! thnx I had been installing drivers, but apparently the right one wasn't there.
Unfortunately, next problem... (is it ok to ask it here?) I've flashed the recovery, but the bootloop still exist. Is the S-on option of bortaks guide safe to try next? or are there other (better) alternatives?
edit: never mind! the ruu indeed worked pfieuw... thnx for the help!
glad to hear that, enjoy
i cant see my device with adb on linux.
last time i had flash the hboot from the phone!
i use kubuntu 12.04 with 3.4 kernel.
can you give me any help?
adb works in custom recovery/rom with debugging on, fastboot command in fastboot mode (power +back button to power on phone or reboot to bootloader from custom rom with APM)

xperia s not booting into recovery

Hi, I just installed the latest Paranoid Android ROM into my Xperia S.. During the unlock of the boot loader the device was recognized by my PC in fastboot mode, so I had no problem unlocking it. Not even flashing the recovery (TWRP) and the boot.img file gave me any problem..
Now if I try in any way to boot into recovery, my phone gets into fastboot mode instead of recovery mode. Also, my PC can't recognize the device anymore.. If I connect the phone in fastboot mode into the PC, the PC says that there are no driver installed.
If anyone could help me, it would be really appreciated..

Then re install the drivers. Then follow the procedure here to flash a recovery.

My OP3 won´t boot into recovery even after flashing stock image via fastboot

Hello everyone,
i think my OP3 is bricked, cuz after i wanted to install new custom ROM with TWRP it went south. When I swiped to install the ROM it showed, it´s corrupt so i wanted so i wanted to push some other .zip to the phone through adb, but no device showed after adb devices or fastboot devices in fastboot. So I tried restore phone from backup i had via TWRP and the phone just wouldnt boot. Oneplus logo showed for a few seconds then it disappears and phone goes dark. Have to hold start button for 10 sec for hard restart phone and then i can go only to fastboot (now it will show fastboot devices in command line). Recovery won´t boot. Tried flashing stock recovery, some versions of TWRP and still just OP logo and dark.
Thanks for every help.
I think for:
fastboot -w
fastboot flash recovery recovery_of_ur_choice.img
on flashboot mode obviously ^^
With that, u must have access to twrp

ADB fastboot not working.

I flashed a firmware less miui 10 with twrp. It was ok but the camera was not working. I went to custom recovery but saw that twrp was overwritten by mi-recovery. I thought of loading twrp through fastboot but my device is not listed in adb devices. What to do? Please help.
The option to change to MTP is not showing. The phone is simply charging. I tried turning usb debugging on and off and installing wpdmtp.inf but no help.
If your computer has drivers installed, it may be a problem with your phone system.
Is your bootloader unlocked?
If unlocked, power off your phone. Then hold POWER and VOLUME(-) for about 11 seconds to enter fastboot mode.
You can flash dummy.img first to temporary bypass ARB.
And then you can flash twrp recovery.
Use twrp to backup all your needed data.
Because of the ARB, do flashing by recovery is not recommended.
You can download MiFlash to do a clean flash.(Don't lock the bootloader)
