Magisk problem with xiaomi.eu MIUI 8.5.2.0 Stable - Xiaomi Mi 5s Questions & Answers

Hi all.
I make clean install of stable 8.5.2.0 from xiaomi.eu and now I have problems with Magisk.
On weekly builds I installed Magisk v12 containing hide fix + xiaomi safetynet fix and everything works file. Root and SafetyNet. But right now, when I Install, Root don't work but safetyNet does.
When I flash Magisk v12 downloaded via Magisk Manager, root works, but safetynet don't.
Any solution?
So right now it looks like:

Are you using Xposed? If yes, try removing it.

No, ofc no. I use magisk on dev/beta releases before and I know I can't have Xposed or SuperSU.

I tried it for a week and safetynet test was always working.
The problem is that, even if locked and with no restriction on battery use, it was randomly loosing root.
I installed Magisk12.0_Hide_fixed and then xiaomi-safetynet-fix from TWRP.
Then I updated the manager from Play Store and reboot.
Any idea?
In the meanwhile I switched back to SuperSu.
BTW I also tried installing systemless SuperSu and then Magisk but root wasn't working at all.
I should try that again after the recent SuperSu updates.

Great work! I can confirm that this version can be installed on ResurrectionRemix rom as well. I manage to get xposed v25 installed too.
But whey I do safetyNet check, I see both ctsProfile and basicIntegrity are set as false even though I have switched my SELinux to enforcing mode and removed all SuperSU related stuff based on this android.gadgethacks link. Any ideas how to fix that? or is it an issue?

To be honest im new to magisk and i barely know what safetynet is. I just reproduced the work from the rom with the same modifications adapted for the new version.
BTW: Can you BTW confirm if the kernel in RR is the same as the other rom? ([email protected] #1 Fri 8/Sept)

Try Universal SafetyNet Patch module, it should solve it.
WARNING : Install it with TWRP, not via magisk update. I did it, I've to reinstall the ROM and all my params...

You cannot pass safetynet check with Xposed installed at all.
If you want to pass safetynet, install Magisk only and use the safetynet patch module in magisk, but do not install xposed.

Google Pay no longer working with PIE+ROOT (Magisk hide)

Ok so i was using Google Pay on oreo with full root using Magisk didn't even have to have GPAY ticked under Magisk Hide, only my banking app to allow fingerprint login. But since updating to the official PIE via ODIN and rerooting i no longer get GPAY is there any possible way i can get round this issue on PIE as that feature was really handy
My Phone history (Galaxy S9 SM-G960F)
Pie: Official FW + Root + Magisk 17.2 + TGP Kernel
Pie: Official FW + Root + Magisk 18.1 + TGP Kernel

Fine here.
Using canary build, make sure to clear cache in play services and gpay.
Enable hide
Hide magisk
All fine.
Aye did that but didn't solve my issue ? knox is tripped but pretty sure that was from the first time I rooted on oreo and pay worked perfectly

After flashing Module no need flash Gapps, i already add it to the module! Google Backup system also work!
Tutorial:
1. Download FULL ROM what you have installed on your Device. And flash it via Orang Fox TWRP without wipe.
2. Download module
3. Download Google Pay fix.
4. Remove all the gapps if there are any, and were installed via the Google play installer, install Orange Fox TWRP and flash the full rom for the recovery of your smartphone so that there is support for the future. In device storage you find folder FOX - DONT DELETE IT!!
5. Download Magisk 19.3 and install it, then install module through twrp. DONT UPDATE MAGISK to 20+!!!
6. Make wipes Cache, Dalvik / ART Cache and flash GooglePay-fix.
7. Reboot into the system.
8. Open the Magisk manager and hide only Play services Unstable like on screenshot hide
must be already hiden, if yes - dond hide other apps from google.
Next, go to the modules item and install module again. Reboot smartphone. Download Gpay and enjoy.
IMPORTANT! AFTER EACH OTA, FLASH MAGISk AGAIN, AS IF THE FIXES WERE BEEN CORRECTED IN BOOT.IMG, the magisk unistall automaticaly. After re-installing Magisk, make wipes from point 6. THE MAGISK DOES NOT UPDATE !
Is it still working on MIUI 12.5 China Beta Rom?

Question how do i know which version of magisk patched boot img to flash?

how do i know which version of magisk patched boot img to flash? i recently updated to the newest version via OTA on stock, but i forgot to run the install again before rebooting, would it be the 12.C47 version that i flash?
The one which fits the OOS version number. So, if it's C47 then you need a boot.img made for C47 (patched with magisk).

Thanks man, I was able to flash it and install, I enabled zygisk and put a bunch of apps on the deny list but for some reason I'm still failing YASNC for both basic and CTS I know it's off topic but any advice on how to fix that?

Just Incase anyone else runs into this issue on that magisk forum there's a universal safetynet fix (UNSF) that you can download and it'll fix it

Right on cue, just got my phone working again. I saw this method, and flashed EU ROM via orange fox from Spark OS. Phone sadly got bricked. At the time, MiFlash wasn't recognizing my device and all I could do was fastboot.
Lots of YouTube and 3 hours later, finally was able to sideload stock ROM, then MiFlashed to clean everything, then installed SparkOS again. L1 is back.
I'm thinking the L1 certificate got lost due to Magisk?
Nice, I don't think it's a magisk issue, I've installed and still widevive is l1
Cool! I think I'll pass Magisk for now haha. The trauma!
In any case, if ever I do get Magisk again, can I see what ur modules are?
I'm using sparkOS too, still have it
