Double Twist Gesture Bug - front camera doesn't open - Moto G5 Questions & Answers

Hi,
i have a Moto G5 xt1672 - brazilian model.
The phone have a Moto’s assistant app that support gestures to the device (called ‘Moto’, or here in brazilian Play Store, 'Moto Actions').
All the gestures are working well, except for the ‘Twist for Quick Capture’.
When i do the double twist gesture, the camera app open, with the rear camera activated.
But when i do the second wrist move, the camera app doesn' change to the front camera.
I already tried some things:
Cleaning the Moto gesture app cache and data;
Updated the Moto app to the last version;
Tried do the gesture in the android security mode;
Factory Reset;
But none works.
Anyone with the same problem?
ps: sorry about my english

Same problem here.
Moto G4 XT1622, italian model.
The feature initially worked, but after updating Android it stopped working.

Iv already reported this bug on the lineageos rom thread where the gesture doesn't work at all
All other gestures seem to work like chop for flashlight
I expect its a bug in the Moto source code if it's the same on stock rom

Lockscreen camera slider gone

Hello.
A few months ago, I noticed the slider appear (dunno exactly what I did) and now, it has disappeared.
I have:
Root
Cloudy
G3 Tweaksbox
XCam LG
I installed and removed Camera++.
Could that cause this issue? Is there a way to recover the slider or force it?
Thanks.
I think I just answered my own question: I erased defaults from XCam LG, used the Volume Down shortcut, selected XCam LG as the default camera, and the slider shortcut appeared again.
Well... seems I wrote too soon. I am, once again, withouth the camera behaviour I want.
I have set the volume down shortcut several times beween stock, none and XCam LG to no avail: it is set with the default camera. I've erased stock camera and XCam defaults several times.
I won't lie, I have installed a lot of cameras latelyl, some VR, some open source (like the excellent Open Camera).
Is there a way to force XCam to be the default camera using the volume key/lock screen slider shortcut? I have it configured like so thru G3 Tweaksbox, but it isn't working. It did work a while ago, though.
Should I remove every single extra camera app I installed? Is there a way to disable official, default apps in the LG G3? I would like to disable the stock camera, if possible.
Thanks.

Moto Actions

Hello everyone, I own Moto Z. Could you upload your extracted "Moto Actions" app for other Motos' users? We have old version of app without option to turn off navbar and use fingerprint scaner to navigation.
The fingerprint sensor isn't compatible

Where did you find these informations?
If you're rooted download the app root essentials. It allows you to use gestures with the fingerprint sensor.

It won't work I tried it more than once it will not download Motorola won't allow us to download the latest version they want you to buy the new phones to get this feature and btw it's not "parsing error"
I also asked them if they will add one button nav a moto Expert responded saying probably not.
I think the square fingerprint sensor does not support it

Moto Z3 , Z3 Play Gesture Navigation bar for moto Z Series

can bring gesture navigation bar from moto Z3 , Z3 Play to moto Z2 Force ??
It's already build in. Go to moto settings app and switch on gestures for fingerprint sensor. Then you can navigate with this. I use this already for weeks and love it. Best is that the visible area of the screen is much bigger and it feels great. I have tested android Pie for weeks ago and there it's not so good as on moto stock roms with oreo. I love oreo, hope Pie will never come. But ok, it must come. But we can live with that, right? Hope for a bug free android 9.0.1 edition. Oreo is easy to perfect
Edit: ok, sry, you mean the new moto navigation from Z3 edition series? That's not in Z2. Maybe there is a way to get it working? We will see
You are talking about the Pill geature navigation i got it. The thing is it is the feature of android 8.1 SystemUI on Moto Z3. Moto Actions is used to enable it. If someone mods the Moto Action and enable the button to trigger pill it wouldn't be of any use as we need Android 8.1 SystemUI. It could only be possible if we root ,mod both SystemUI and MotoActions but we have the Fingerprint Navigation , its preety close to it

Z2 Force, very fast and very good. I use the fingerprint touch to navigate. Then you have a modern visible screen area and no burn ins at the bottom. And scratches, I haven't not one after very many month. So no additional screen protector needed. The newer Z2 Force seems not have this issue with the scratchable screen. Best phone I have ever had.
Oh sry, have read a second time. Ok, then I can't help you. Do how you like it

Save the vibration sensor? I use the fingerprint for navigation and it doesn't vibrate. You just turn it off in the settings.

oh , i just saw it can touch for more settings thank very much guy !
anyone facing gesture navigation "back" function, sometimes is back to home screen instead "back"? thanks
There is an app called "X Home Bar" and "X Home Bar Pro" (and other similar apps) that will give you a white bar along the bottom that will allow you to swipe left, right, and center up to navigate. These options that you can customize to your liking. I've found it to be handy and worked great on my Z2 Force.

Lineage 17.1: Cannot lock using finger print

Hi,
ever since my upgrade from stock rom to lineage 17.1, I no longer can lock my phone using the fingerprint sensor.
I also cannot find the setting to enable that feature.
What data can I provide to trouble shoot this?
My z2 force is a XT1789-06.
Thanks,
Martin
We can't support it in lineage, we have no native interface for this on Lineage, and no way to differentiate the keycode,
It's worth to add that you can lock phone by tapping 2x on status bar in original Lineage launcher. And in Nova Launcher you have option to lock by tapping 2x anywhere on empty place on the screen.
