I'm using it on my 5x and it's working no issues and with the swipe right working it's awesome for a non-rooted devices I'm not noticing any lag it's working great.

Tried it and I decided to switch back from google now launcher. It doesn't seem as fluid as the default launcher. But overall it is still a great one with google now and weather widget support.

Verion 1.3 now works great
Rootless Pixel Launcher 1.3 is great for me: works. It seems like rapid development, watch github (from 1.o to 1.3 in 4 days)

Android O beta3

1.4 is posted on github now.

Lag in Pixel launcher Google page

hey guyz, did anyone noticed lag while opening google feed page in pixel launcher? i felt lag everytime i swipe right on the pixel launcher to go to the google page. can anyone fix it?
it wasnt in oreo but yup noticed it when i switched to the beta builds
It lags in every ROM I have tried
I have the same problem on beta 5
lag on all Beta Versions
Yes ! It was still manageable and didn't catch my attention with the previous beta versions but with OB5, it's way too laggy.
No problem, cr droid, flash kernel, ruthless pixel launcher (magisk module)
YEs I have the same Lag also, trying to install rootless pixel launcher and I have that terrible Lag, only in beta version. Could you try uninstalling one plus launcher app, if that helps ???

This lag is specific to OOS and not android. The lag doesn't exist on AOSP 8.1 roms.

I'm on OP5T, OxygenOS 5.1.0

Yes, that's the saddest thing.. I was waiting for a stable release ??
So I shouldnt update to 8.1 then
I have the same issue.. Now I'm forced to use OnePlus' launcher instead od Nova (pro), because it doesnt work as it should after update to Oxygen 5.1.
Same here.... Is it the same after a clean install?
I contacted One Plus support, they told me to hard reset... but it's not fixing anything! Can anyone try too ?
Same problem even after Factory reset...

Question Best launcher for Android 11 op9pro?

Which launcher app works well with android 11 op9pro?
I tried using lawn chair and it keeps crashing
I'm using the Nova Launcher 7 betas, it's been re-written from the ground up, previous version had issues with Android 11, this one works fine.

Oh my gosh dude, how did I not know about this? I've been using the 6 series beta for a year now.
The performance of this feels fantastic. Unbelievably smooth, compared to 6 series. But I like turning my animations completely off to 'faster than light'. This seems to have been removed in this new seven beta. It's driving me nuts - as although it feels smoother, it doesn't feel as fast as 6 series.
As far as I know, only stock launcher can use gestures if I'm not mistaken?

You are completely mistaken.
In truth only the stock launcher works properly with gestures.
There are animation quirks with every 3rd party launcher I have tried on android 11. I never used a stock launcher before 11 so I am disappointed.

No animation quirks when going home? It is subtle like almost a double or delayed transition but enough for me to go stock.
I’ll give niagra a try
I'm guessing Nova 7 will actually be released quite soon tbh, the last few builds have had no bugs

Wrong. If you use full screen immersive gestures magisk module, third party launchers work perfectly (especially Nova).

Question OnePlus Launcher

Maybe I didn't search hard enough, but anyone know if it's possible to install the OnePlus launcher on the Pixel 6 Pro? I successfully installed, but it refused to load, even one install that was reported to work on any Android phone. I'm using ProtonAOSP with gapps.
I bought a Pixel 6 Pro out of love for its superior night camera which is fabulous for catching northern lights here in Alaska, but I absolutely love the OxygenOS launcher on my OnePlus 8 Pro. It's a weird request, I know.
All I have to say is,"why?"
Coming from One+ and Samsung..... All users flash roms to come to a Pixel UI and you want a OP launcher on a Pixel? I'm stumped
I'd recommend Nova7 as it's a better fit for phones than OP launcher.
If it's a tinkering matter I totally understand, but, OP on Pixel?
You can also try lawnchair launcher 12. I was missing a few things after moving from 1+ 8 pro to P6 but lawnchair did the trick for me. Basically a pixel launcher with some more customization.

Which features exactly are you looking for?
There are several available launchers on a Pixel, I can't think of any feature set that OP has that is not available, since you can customize about anything, including icons and how animations/gestures work.
As others have said. What's the point?
Anyway, installing the APK will not be sufficient as the OnePlus launcher also relies on a number of native libraries.
You will need figure out exactly which libraries and make them available in /system/lib(64) via a Magisk module.
Too much hassle for what ...
Specifically, I really like this one touch close all apps button. It's a good visual decluttering for me versus memory issue. If I feel overwhelmed by everything I have open, tap the one button and it all feels clean again.

I'll give it a look.
Closing the apps in that way is not recommended and actually worsens battery use. Doesn't do anything for memory use either really as the phone has plenty and manages it well enough. This is why it has been gotten rid of in later versions of Android.

Eh, I charge it enough. It really is more of a psychological visual decluttering for me. I know, it's really best to let Android manage your open apps.

I remember using this on my pixel 2xl. Hasn't been updated in a minute though but it will do the job
One thing i like most about One plus launcher is to hide apps with fingerprint.
Left swipe to reveal but with fingerprint.
Is there any launcher which has this feature?
Check out Ruthless Launcher
Google Play Link
It has a clear all button on the left most page of the app switcher.
Also has app locker function with fingerprint unlock.
Dev is really responsive on Telegram and the app receives frequent updates.
It's customisable - app icons support, grid options etc, loads of features including At-A-Glance and Google Feed etc. Been using it for a few years now.

Question Why does my At A Glance Weather not update?

title says it all.
weather only updates in the widget, when i click on the weather directly and it opens in the weather app.
then it gets outdated again until i repeat.
it never updates automatically in the at a glance widget from google.
tried the beta, cleared cache. placed the specific google weather widget also on the homescreen, nothing helps.
any ideas?
thanks guys!!

I wish I knew what to suggest besides starting from scratch. Mine on my home screen updates fine by itself. Have you checked in the Play Store to see if you're enrolled in the Beta and might've forgotten? I'm not on the Beta and I'm currently on version 13.18.7.29.arm64.

It's probably something with that version, then, since I too am on stable but yet the older 13.18.7.29.arm64. I just manually checked for all updated apps and I'm still on this version. Hopefully, they'll release a stabler Stable version soon for you.
And hopefully, that truly is the cause.
Did you try rebooting?
You on the Android 13 beta? Or was it a different beta that you had tried? I am on the Android 13 beta and have been having the same issue since I updated to the latest beta build earlier this month. Granted, I always update beta builds ASAP and so perhaps this issue is occuring due to me disabling verity and verification this time around
I am also experiencing the same issue with the May update and Google app version 13.19.7.29. Battery optimization is disabled for the Google app and Play Services. I updated the Google app around the same time I installed the May update, so one of those two updates seems to be the issue in my experience.

I'm using the stock Pixel Launcher. At a Glance updates fine with upcoming calendar events, status of connected Bluetooth devices, etc. Weather just refuses to update on its own, and eventually disappears if I don't update it manually for a while.
One thing I forgot to mention in my previous post: I also began using LSPosed and AOSP Mods around the time I installed the May update. AOSP Mods hooks into the Pixel Launcher, which makes me wonder if it could be part of the issue.

Question Fully compatible launchers

Hi,
I use two devices on a daily basis: Pixel 6 pro and 7 pro. One more test and the other as a daily driver.
I wonder what launchers you use. Pixel launcher seems to me a bit limited when it comes to functionality and appearance. I tried the pixel launcher mod, but it seems to be moderately stable and still doesn't give you the option to set any grid size. The app drawer is sprawled out enormously, the gaps between apps are large, and everything is narrow and weird.
I'm just used to using the nova launcher and lawnchair. Since 2014 I was using nexus 6 and pixel devices later.
Now in (almost) 2023 both nova launcher and lawnchair seem to be out of date even in current test builds: nova launcher 8 beta and lawnchair 12.1 dev (quickstep doesn't work anyway).
So a question for power users who like customization to the limit. How are you doing with the current pixel launcher monopoly? what do you use?
It sounds like you're looking for a customizable and stable launcher for your Pixel 6 Pro and 7 Pro devices. While I don't have personal experience with either of these devices, I can recommend some popular launcher options that you may want to consider.
One option is the Action Launcher, which offers a variety of customization options and features a "Quickstep" interface that allows for easy switching between apps. Another option is the Microsoft Launcher, which allows for deep customization and integrates with Microsoft services like OneDrive and Your Phone.
If you want to stick with a launcher that's developed by Google, you may want to try the Google Discover Launcher. This launcher allows for some customization and integrates with Google services like the Google Assistant and Discover feed.
Ultimately, the best launcher for you will depend on your personal preferences and needs. I recommend trying out a few different options to see which one works best for you.

I would say hardly a monopoly, but the pixel launcher is so limited it's infuriating. Which is why I use Nova Launcher (current beta) despite, in your opinion, it being out of date.

Nova...works...whats the problem here?
General comment, becuase i see this "but this software/app is out of date" thing far too often on here...
I dunno why some people think stuff is "out of date" because of the date since last build
Mostly millennials and gen-zer's...want a new version of something every 6 months because they think evil CrApple release schedules should apply to literally everything....*head shake*...we really have devolved as a species
People of my age consider things out of date when they stop working......but then we're not the worst (and most spoiled) generation ever made...
Stop creating issues that dont exist, use Nova, it works fine....

phew. That's a bit of a far-reaching conclusion. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the Nova launcher because it's great to use. But consider the animation quality when changing running applications, expanding the application drawer or, for example, the lack of themed icons. Lawnchair has gone a step further and is more modern. I've been using Nova Launcher Prime for almost 10 years, but while using Pixel Launcher for a while, I had the impression "oh, that's how it should work, very nice". Also, I think you misjudged me a bit. In 3 months I will be 33 years old, so I am far from the generational groups you mentioned and their approach to stimuli and novelties.

Pixel Launcher Extended looks very promising.
I stand by Microsoft launcher. I've got an ms 365 personal and business subscription. The backup feature is useful. I use windows 11 so it syncs my notes from to-do etc.
Its not everyone's cup of tea but it's the best launcher I've used personally
