Newer Nougat Odin firmware? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Questions & Answers

Hi everyone got a good deal on an S7 Active so I just upgraded from my S6 Active.
I noticed we have the first Nougat release Odin files QB2, but there have been 3 OTA updates since.
Does anyone have a newer Odin image file? QE1 would be awesome, but even QD4 or QC2 would be nice.
Thanks!

In fact, we can get full firmware until QD4, but it isn't for free, so I just download the QB2 for everyone to update to Android N. Then you'd better update your phone to the latest verion by OTA files on SD card, it isn't comfortable but for free.

Which version did you use to odin back to 5.1.1? I just rolled back to 5.1.1 because I was on a version of 6.0.1 that did not end up being used, and could not get the new update with WIFI calling. I used this G928AATT2AOJ1_Recovery ODIN TO STOCK. Here is the link to the post where I got it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...ate-ota-version-g928aucu2bpd5-t3373689/page17
It worked great, I am back to the correct version of MM now and am just waiting for the OTA of the new update.

Please Help! I need Odin files for G928AUCU3CPHA. I tried to downgrade to PE6 and now I have no call signal and unknown IMEI #. I need G928AUCU3CPHA to Odin it back. Please Help!
Update: After many nights of sleeplessness and many hours spending on Odin and Googling, I finally found the link to the latest firmware G928AUCU3CPHA. I flashed it via Odin, and now my phone is alive again. REJOICE!

OTA Updates???

I know when flashing, firmware updates can be 1Gb - 2Gb file sizes. When you take that same update OTA, do they send down the entire firmware file, or just the sections that need updating? This 910V is the first phone I have never rooted, and have never taken an OTA update. When I bought it, it was on 5.0. I downloaded the CQC1 firmware and installed it updating it to 6.0, via Odin. It tried to update itself immediately after I rebooted. I disabled the updater until I did some homework, as the thing was relentless about updating and driving me crazy. I see now there is CQD1, CQE1, and CQF2 available. My problem is, I have a crap internet connection (1.5Mb) and am wondering if it has to download that huge file anyway OTA, if I wouldnt be better downloading it myself and installing it via Odin.... rather than an OTA update that gives me no info on progress etc....?
So:
1) OTA or download and install it/them myself
2) If installing myself, Where is the best place to download the huge file, without having to sign up or be throttled?
3) Is there anything in these newer updates that warrant updating, or any problems that arise from them? Or is it wise to just stay on CQC1 which is working without a hitch?
Thanks for any help.

Yeah the ota update is a smaller file. If you want, I just downloaded the CQI2 firmware and can upload it to AFH. I just did the 6 hr download and could save you some time.
The new update patches the bluborne vulnerability and from camparing the framework between this version and the last, there are a bunch of changes but Ive only had it installed for half a day so Im not real sure how much better or worse it is.
Thanks for the offer, much appreciated! But I went ahead and allowed the PTA update. I thought it would download the latest update and be done. Nope, it downloaded them 1 at a time in order. First CQD1, then CQE1, then CQF2, then CQI2. It took about an hour each total, but at least its updated

Sure! Here you go. It's a completely unaltered firmware of CQI2. If your bootloader is unlocked, flashing this file will lock it back up and you'll be 100% stock.

Flashed Pie to Official pie

About a month ago I flashed the leaked beta version of Android pie to my Verizon Galaxy S8+. Now that the official version is rolling out, can I just simply check for an update on my phone or do I need to flash back to Verizon firmware? Thanks in advance.
If you're still on the leaked beta pie version, then checking for updates won't work. You gotta flash an earlier firmware that's bootloader 5, either CSB1 or CSA4. You can get it from sammobile. I think you also have to factory reset your device after downgrading or it will be stuck in a bootloop, then check for updates manually from your device and update to official pie.

Can't get firmware updates [SOLVED]

Some time ago I loaded a firmware onto my VZW S8+ (G955U) which I thought was a legitimate firmware. However, I've never been able to update the phone since. The firmware that I loaded was CRE1 and since loading that, no OTA updates have occurred and even trying to use the VZW update tool, I get an error saying no update for that firmware or something to that effect.
I assume that I would need to flash back to a base version 8 firmware and then see how things go from there but I haven't been able to locate a base v8 firmware - assuming that is the direction I need to go.
Can anyone advise? The phone is not rooted. I did see one other similar thread with CRE1 firmware from 2018 - I can try downloading the closest firmware to CRE9 that I can find, which is CRK9, and see if I can get it to load.
Other suggestions/ideas are welcome!
[UPDATE]
So I essentially followed another post here and using Odin 3.13.1 I loaded CRK1, the oldest I could find that was near CRE1, and the phone came back up and pretty much immediately notified of an OTA update. About 12 or so OTA updates later and I'm at the current OTA release.
I'm having the same issue. I bought a VZW S8+ (G955U) from eBay Seller mistyelectronics that was supposed to be new in box. It has never updated since I received it almost a year ago. It stuck on Software Version G955USQS5DSE5. Any insight or advice to go the same route? I used Odin years ago. Where would I look for the files to load to the phone?
I appreciate any help you can give.

[A510F] How to downgrade Nougat to Marshmallow

Hello,
I have a Galaxy A5 2016 (SM-A510F, CSC:ITV) which i recently upgraded from Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to Nougat (with the latest upgrade). However, my phone runs a bit slower with Nougat and I don't like the new user interface, so I decided to downgrade back to Marshmallow. The problem is while I have downloaded the lateset 6.0.1 firmware for my device, Odin fails (SW_REV_CHECK_FAIL). I have tried removing the .bin files from the tar file and flash it that way, but it still failed with the same error code.
Is there something I can do to downgrade it? I don't currently mind tripping Knox because the phone is out of warranty.
Thank you a lot
