[Q] Help with modem problem

hello guys, my device is galaxy note 2, i updated my phone to android 4.3 manually, the update is successful, i got all the features of the new firmware, but i have a problem: the network connection signal is appearing normally but i can't do any call or send/receive a massage it says (not registered on network), no problems with the device's IMEI, is it because the room is not for my region?? or modem file problem? an help please

BTW you should post in Galaxy Note 2 Q&A forum ( use xda device search engine to locate it)
A modem change might give you results only after you have checked your APN ,
Quick Guide
First Check your settings > about phone > status > your phone number ( IF UNKNOWN )
You won't be able to send SMS by any third party sms apps or Have a Network connection
Solution :-
You need to edit that "unknown" number to your phone number, by putting your SIM card on any old phone that has a "my number/owner number" option, (most old phones do). Edit and save it to the proper phone format as your Sim Card number (Example: +63913XXXXXXX). Now put the SIM back to M110S, to solve this problem.
Than check your system settings, in Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.(APN) as provided by your Network provider . If your Apn is not set, you wont be able to have data connection, so set it first
If still no data connection, Common Trick is to toggle WIFI and Airplane mode or
1. Turn ON WIFI
2. Set the phone to Flight Mode
3. Power down the phone for a few Minutes
4. Power it back up
5. Turn OFF flight mode
6. Turn OFF WIFI
Should get Data back

[Q] [ResurrectionRemixKK] Unable to connect to (some) WiFi Networks

Hello,
I am running Resurrection Remix v5.0.5-20140309 on my Note 2, upgraded from v5.0.2-20140212.
And since then, it doesn't connect to some WiFi networks like my home WiFi. When I activate WiFi, no automatic connection and when trigerring a manual connection from the WiFi menu, it directly to disabled state and doesn't even try to connect (it seems).
Hoewever, it connects normally to my work WiFi.
Note that my home wifi runs on 2,4GHz, my work wifi on both 2,4 and 5GHz.
Any thoughts ?

Go to the /data/misc/wifi/ way with a root file manager and open this text file name as wpa_supplicant.conf . Find your home wifi. Look the text "autojoin=" is 0 or 1. If it 0, change to 1.
Try it, maybe work.

No mention of autojoin in my wpa_applicant.conf file.
However, I don't know how, it happens that when I was editing the file, my device shows the WiFi icon on the header. But it disappeared right after and back to the same situation.

If delete this file dont worry. Reboot your phone, device is make a file

Actually it recreates the file from itself without the need of rebooting the phone. And the new file has all my previous known WiFi networks connection details.
But it still doesn't fix anything.

WIFI Connection Issue Oreo 8.0

please help i have issue with WiFi is cannot connect in some routers only and specially home router & when i get close to rotter make successful connection but get slow internet when i get back few meters disconnected
Note* 1- when i try to connect signal is down to all network and when field to connect signal get back high and make loop connect and disconnect
2- the mobile phone updated to android Oreo 8.0 and last security patch for Taiwan version 3.16.709.15 official stock android no root
3- the phone and router nothing change in settings or router
4- WiFi hot spot work perfect and mobile network too
5- when i get hotpot from Windows sometimes work and sometimes not but other routers work perfect !!
6- i installed WiFi analyzer app and signal is very good all the time no dropping issue
7- when i on modify network on home he tell me link speed of -1 mbps
fixes i do it : 1- factory reset
2- Hard reset
3- forget all network
4- static IP
5- safe mood test
6- changing router to another router
and finally nothing happen and i still have this issue & sorry for language mistakes

Wifi passwords are not saved!

I can connect to Wifi but the passwords are not saved. Whenever I reboot, toggle airplane mode, or turn Wifi off and on again , the passwords are forgotten. I tried searching for a solution and found that the issue occurs but in other phones like Samsung galaxies. They solved it by deleting the ss_data file in /efs , I tried searching for the file but couldn't find neither /efs or ss_data in all partitions.
I'm running OOS 5.0.4
And I'm obviously rooted. ??

Mobile Data Not Working (not completely)

Hello, I have a rather strange problem with my phone.
After the Update which has just been released (MIUI Global 10.3.1.0 (ODEMIXM)
he began to behave in a strange way my mobile internet.
For example: Youtube, Facebook, Messenger, Google Maps work normally.
And all other applications no longer (even an application to Check system update)
I'm popping up a message: No connection.
I did different things: Reset Internet settings,
change network settings in options (* # * # 4636 # * # *)
and even a hard reset.

Try factory reset first.

mine has similar problems after a call. Some Internet stuff still works, most don't, unless I disable and re-enable mobile internet from the dropdown menu. Did you find a solution, MrKaim?

Same problem in my phone too. The only app which is remain usable of the internet is the Chrome browser. Messeaging apps, navigation, ebay, etc... is always lost somehow the connection: even when I using the app: for example I browsing in the ebay app and after 10mins,its says sonetging got wrong and I can go on only when I turn wifi/adata off and on. And yes, ön my mi mix 2, the problem is still exist on wifi and mobil net too.

Also tried ROM : AICP and Lineage.. Same Issue!
I keep shuffling LTE / 3G it connects sometime but the connection is unstable.
Permanently displays an X in the mobile signal as if there is no mobile data connection.
Please share a solution if anyone has found one.

I realize only some data isn't working but you could save your apns-conf.xml from another setup where you have no data issues and everything works perfect (I always keep one handy) and delete your current apns-conf.xml in /system/etc and system/product/etc and paste the good one in your /system/etc and set permissions on new apns-conf.xml to 0644 using root explorer or whatever root file manager you use then go to settings on your device/networks and internet/mobile network/access point names/ and top right hit the three dot menu select reset to default and wait till you see LTE show in status bar and reboot. If it's an apn issue that will solve it.
My Mix 2 isn't hooked up anymore to a service but I do use it on wifi at home but the apns-conf.xml on stock rom/miui may be slightly different than they are on an AOSP custom rom. I know that's been the case for me on every device I've done this on so be sure if you do give this a shot that you use your miui apns-conf.xml on miui roms and AOSP apn xml on AOSP custom roms so that it will work.
I've been using this process when I have had any data issues at all on my last 3 devices and it's worked 100% every single time when after installing a custom rom I've had no data this works to get LTE going. Credit to spaceminer for this info on the apn delete and swap, data fix as he's who I first learned this from on another forum.
