You can flash European kdz. But afterward you cannot receive bootloader unlock support
is it possible to flash a custom kdz of a different h815 variant that is already rooted ive looked around for pre rooted but nothing for h815-v20i-sea-xx just v10d euro id really like something with the latest security patches that i can install adaway and a layers theme idk maybe a temp root would work or i am hoping for a lost cause? i dont wanna brick this thing

Is it possible to flash custom ROMS to this variant that has yet to have an unlock bootloader? If so, is it through flashify? but what about wiping the dalvik cache?

yeah, for H815 European one only. Other variants of the H815 such as SEA or TWN, no released as of yet.
After searching all day, I can't find a complete answer, can I root my H815 SEA model?
1. it is not a European model, so the boot-loader is unlockable, already checked on lg site.
2. I've been looking for a rooted system image but there are only for older lollipop versions, can anyone share updated rooted system for v20c?

Hello comunity! Well I got a Lg G4 h815p, in the software info it says V10a_12-JAN-2016.
I updated the phone few times via OTA Upgrade. Its Telcel variant, my question is...
V10a is qfuse v0?
In that case, should i still wait with my actual version to a bootloader unlock exploit? (I've heard that lg g4 with qfuse v0 have more probabilities to find an exploit to unlock the bootloader).
Also i got another question about flashing KDZ's , well i find in other forums people with H815P flashing EU versions , so in that case, can i flash the EU version to get the official unlock ? (Maybe it change my device id?).

No . If Your bootloader is locked u cant. U just can flash kdz root it on 5.1 and use xposed and things like that. But no custom roms.

I just got an 815P a few days ago and I thought it would be a normal simple procedure to root/unlock like my S3, but I can't seem to find anything either. The LG developer website will unlock the 815 bootloader but not the 815P. I've read about rooting the 815 (all versions?, does that include the 'P'?) but they're for older firmwares 10c etc.. I'm on 20D.
Is there no hope then I wonder?
I just purchased a Verizon LG G8 that is unlocked and want to use it on Metro. I haven't gotten the phone yet but I would like to (if it's possible) flash a unbranded firmware. I'm confused about whether I can use LGUP or LG flash tool to do this. Can someone please tell me if this can be done and if so what is the best firmware to flash to have it unbranded with minimal bloat?
I miss the good old days on XDA where people actually came on XDA and there was always someone able to help out. I feel like that doesn't exist anymore. Too many phones and too many different carriers.
I don't think there's a patched LGUP to do this for LG G8 yet.

Is there a y method that currently works to flash firmware on the LG g8? I would like to flash the stock unlocked carrier unbranded firmware.
There is no way to flash through LGUP or any other tools currently but you can unlock boot-loader root and install firmware package through twrp but doesn't work for T-Mobile or Metro

There is a thread for it and same thing at the g7 thread. Just use octoplus jtag pro to flash the v35 engineering boot-loader to device and from there you can unlock boot-loader and do all the stuff. If you dont have octoplus jtag pro there is a guy who will do it for you he charges i dont know how much though.
