Anyone have a cradle/charging dock that you are using with your 5G+? I have a thinnish case on it that I would like to keep on while charging too. Thanks.

Thats was the only reason that I picked up the Standard Dock. I figured that it was easy to make the case for an additional charger and for a few bucks more you get a dock.
At first, I thought that the dock would be difficult to use (placing the Xoom correctly on it and removing it), but after a few weeks of usage, it has been INCREDIBLY easy.
I'd recommend the dock to anyone / everyone that has a xoom...
I have the dock, and after a couple more weeks plan to find a speaker dock on sale somewhere.

I've got a Kidigi car dock which automatically triggers the car dock mode, and it's great! I now want to find a way of doing the same for the desktop dock mode when plugged into a cradle. I've ordered a Kidigi dock but I don't think it does this out of the box.
I've read of people using a resistor across pins 4 and 5 to trigger this on other HTC phones, and I think this is also how the car mode is done. Does anyone know what I might use... or is going to have to be trial and error?
I know that some people have hacked together pogo pins docks but I don't really need that (anyway I want the higher current AC charging).
I'd be grateful for any pointers

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive dock for Nexus 5 with built-in USB charging? I need one for my office where phone stands most of the time in dock unless I need to use it. I currently have a cheapo dock for Samsung Galaxy Nexus (bought for like $5) but it does not fit N5 and USB connector on N5 is turned around.
What I would like is something similar - form-fitting, affordable, unobtrusive, stable to use phone while in dock and with built-in charging.
Any recommendations would be welcomed.
It's too soon for bespoke docks and the universal ones don't work for the reason you mentioned. I'm checking every day for the Kidigi dock that will come to market but it's not on sale yet.
An alternative is to buy a desk stand and plug in a charging cable as normal.
I hope Kidigi know it too... Look at the Dock, the USB Connector is not in the right direction.

I'm sure they'll get it right. That's the one i'm waiting for btw. I really like the look of it so i hope it's out soon. I did drop them an email asking when we might expect it but haven't heard back yet.
So I realize that the 360 is compatible with most qi chargers, which is pretty freaking cool. But, I put a pebble steel band on my 360 so laying it flat to charge isn't a option. It charges great in the original dock, so that's not a issue. I want to keep one at the house but have a practical solution when I'm on the road. Has anyone found where I can buy a second OEM dock. Or, anyone have a Qi aftermarket solution ( maybe something 3d printed or DIY ) that can be easily thrown into a travel bag? Any and all suggestions would be appreciated - thanks in advance.

I haven't tried as of yet. I am getting my metal strap on Monday, but I was thinking of possibly using my old Nexus Orb charger to see if I can loop it over the back and have it charge. Going to try it and report back if it works or not.

Does anybody make a cheap cradle that just has a hole in the bottom and back so you can pull the usb cord through the cradle, plug in phone, then set down phone onto it keeping phone in portrait position? I have a note 3 with a big case and I am trying to find a dock that would work. Seems to me a wire pulled through the cradle is the easiest solution. Could work with any phone. Heck, a woodworking hobbyist could build one out of wood!
In the alternative a dock for note 3 in a hybrid case would also be cool. Any ideas? Thanks very much for your suggestions.
