OEM 3T grey metal cover - OnePlus 3T Accessories

Hi guys. Tried to find a similar thread but didn't found.
So the question is:
Has someone purchased a very good quality replacement (OEM or atleast very close to original) metal back for the 3T (the dark grey)?
Don't get me wrong, I know theres plenty of which to choose from. Just wondering if someone has found "the right one" so I don't have to order several different ones while searching good quality item...
So...anyone?
Thanks.

Shortly, just want to change the back cover after certain mount of damage to the current back cover.
Having the Midnight Black version and not using any cases, is a combo that puts the black variant very prone to scratches, cracks, pops or what any sort of damage might happen to the phone. And you can see everything in black, I mean everything. So when the time comes and my black back cover looks like hell, I can swap it to the Gunmetal and have a "new" phone. Ordered already black one, but it got crushed in the mail anf the seller was out of stock after that.

Replacement back cover

Hi Guys,
From youtube videos (I know great source of info) it seems that removing back cover on HOX is quite easy.
So two questions come to mind first one no one makes entire back cover replacements in many colours?
Also anyone know where I could get the least original white back cover?
I want to sell my HOX and camera lens is scratched. Does not interfer with pictures due to location of it but still.
Cheers,
Luka
I found a lot of them when looking for a black and white one.

it's not that simple!!
at first you will void your warranty as soon as you detach the cover...then believe me that it's very difficult and you could damage the inner frame or other components, since there's a lot of glue that make you feel the phone very solid in your hands...
but believe me that it's a real pain to change the cover...the most difficult part of opening your phone...
however you should do it just if it's stricly necessary imho...
Nah it's really easy. Takes 10 mins to switch over. There is no glue really. For the most part it is clipped on.
I say go for it. I got my white original cover off ebay for £30.
my camera lens also got little scratched. Is there any chance to replace it only? anyone with the same problem?

I repaired my touchscreen and my htc was full of glue and sticker anywhere...it was the hardest part for me to detach the cover!
However could you tell me where to buy a black one low cost and new?
Thank you!

ebay linky
i bought one too, replacement is a little difficulty but it looks like new
Thx guys, got one in post from link provided. Now wait till Lumia 920 and htc 8x are available for sale to choose one and sell One X

My One X has a creaking corner, where the original back cover seems to give in a little. Any guesses if getting a replacement (because the camera lens also has a few scratches) would help? Maybe the fit would be better... or is the creaking problem something related to how the phone itself sits inside the cover, and getting a new back would be pointless?
Has someone experiences with cases from Hong Kong?
They are cheaper and include the SIM Tray...

After putting the whole thing back together, doesn't the phone start creaking, especially at the bottom part?
No
Opened mine 2 times and the bottom fits better than when it came out of the box.
Only opened it to clean the camera lens from inside and always used the same cover it came with.

Great! That's really nice to hear.
Changed mine from black to white... After changing, my phone is more solid then the out-of-the-box black... Wifi reception is better... Needa change it after my friend knocked my hand while crossing the road... Screen is intact and unscathed though...

does the back cover also including the lens cover or it's hole on that part?

[HELP] Complete Phone Overhaul

So......
With the recent breaking of my screen (and possibly part of the digitizer?) I started looking on Amazon for replacement screens. I really wanted to replace the screen with a red one when I thought how bad it would look with a blue back and frame. So, I started looking at a complete overhaul...
Is it hard to completely disassemble the phone? Also, for those that have good how-to reference guides, could you please consider posting links here?
Here is what I'm looking to do...
Red Chassis
^is this just the back (behind the battery cover) and NOT the actual frame itself? I think I'm looking at the wrong part here. The part that will make the actual base of the phone red.
Glass and Back Cover
^I don't see the Samsung logo so I'm not sure this is the glass I'm looking for.
Just getting an idea of what I'm getting myself into. I want to basically transform the entire phone to red. I think the chassis is the wrong part. Maybe if you know of another link, that would be great too.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
EDIT-
I think I'd actually have to buy THIS FRAME replacement and not what I originally posted.
Read about your misfortune. That sucks. I've looked into doing the same thing, and here's what I think your choices are:
1. Replace just the digitizer and screen. Not sure if your LCD is intact, but if it's undamaged, I think you can do this. (they have red too, i linked a blue one because I'm lazy)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pebble-Blue...857?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f1f4e0a91
With this though, you will have to go through this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eneLvVe7DwE
Which quite frankly looks like a nightmare
2. Replace the screen, digitizer, and housing all at the same time. This is for the i9300, but I think all the hardware is the same and you can just transfer the circuit boards over and connect all the cables. ** I really don't know if it works like that between the two models however **
http://www.ebay.com/itm/251166200776?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619
With that said, do you have a phone to hold you over??
Yeah, I was looking at these two videos:
Full Breakdown
Frame Replacement
and I was thinking to myself...hmmm, I can do that...until about 14 minutes into the frame replacement video in which he DESTROYS the LCD/Digitizer. I don't know for 100% certainty that the digitizer is bad yet, and I don't want to destroy it. Sucks, because I'd really like to do a fully overhaul and just convert it to red.
I guess I'll just go with the $20 blue screen replacement for now and see how that goes.

Going to have to pull out the old Nexus One, get a working ROM on it and use it for now. Glad I decided to keep it after retirement lol.
I just did a quick Google search and it appears that on amazon they sale one digitizer for all of the gs3 variants even the Korean one
I've dealt with a lot of iPhone OEM parts from random Amazon/eBay sellers, and judging from the quality of those I would strongly recommend you not mess with these.
The fitment on 95% of parts from China is horrible plus some! I can't say anything about the S3 parts that you have posted but my guess is they come from similar factories.
If you really want a red phone, I would research if a T999 motherboard would fit in an ATT red S3 and just switch them out.

Changing white housing cover to BLACK.

The question is: is it possible to change the full housing to black? I have a white SGS2 but it has scratches all over... Also that silver edge is pretty much damaged from falls.
I was browsing around and found out that there are full housings for sale, but what about the amoled screen if I want to change the phone color?
Thanks in advance!

The screen is mounted to the frame (midsection of the casing, which is integrated with bezel) by a sticky tape -- ~1.5 mm wide all around the perimeter, and in some areas in the middle. When you buy a complete casing, it comes with the tape attached, so it's ready for you to mount the screen onto it. It will also show you where exactly the tape is located under the screen. The tricky part is do detach the screen from your old casing. Usually, it's done by heating it (carefully!) with a hot air gun, or even a hairdryer -- it will soften a glue layer and allow you to pry off the screen without cracking it. It's not that difficult, but if you are not comfortable doing it yourself, seek some help from an experienced person -- an electronics repair guy, or a seasoned DYI'er. However, keep in mind that sh*t happens, and there is still a chance to break the screen in the process, or fry it by overheating...
Thanks for the answer, kt-Froggy.
Can you give me a link to a trustworthy shop/casing?

I can only tell you where I bought mine... Not sure how trustworthy this source is, but it worked for me. I usually buy my stuff on Amazon. I searched for it, and ordered from this supplier (I was getting another item from them, so it was good to combine shipments). Delivered faster than promised, looked and worked as advertised, no problems with quality, so I was happy with it.

Looks promising... There's something else I should add. I'm using Samsung's original extended 2000mAh battery, so I should also look for the extended back cover which is different from the original one.
Take a look at this: LINK

[Q] Chrome bezel replacement

Has anyone replaced the chrome bezel on their Note 2? The video on the etradesupply.com website (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vR26Iad4dEw#!) makes it looks pretty straight forward. I guess the main thing that is different from the older Samsung phones is that the housing is held on with clips around the bezel instead of being glued. Mine has a few dings so was hoping I could make it look a lot newer for not a lot of money if this was an easy job.
This was interesting to see. I enjoyed it and then started cringing. I like how the disassembly process is so smooth, and effortless. In my reality, probably not so much. The reassembly of my phone, I imagine I end up with parts leftover and my phone not functioning.

Haha, I kind of felt the same way. All I'm trying to do is remove and replace the bezel so it looks like you remove the screws on the back, and then use that tool to free all the tabs between the screen and the chrome bezel. I'm assuming the new one just snaps back in, replace the screws and you're good to go. I think I may order the bezel and tool and give it a try. I'll report back with how it goes.
is there custom bezels like a matte black one id love to have that on my white phone

I too would love to have a matte black housing for my Note 2 after roughing up my bezel. Can't find anything different to stock with a quick Google, has anyone found one?
Sorry for bumping an old thread.

Hi, I bought 3 different OPO screen replacements at Aliexpress. As you said, the quality is so different. The first one was simply very pale and dark, the second one is the screen itself is OK, but touch screen and cable was so fragile. Te last one is completely fine. This is not the original, but if you just use it, you don't see the difference.

They offer the screen with and without the frame. ( Some said with the frame is easier for the beginner) I myself bought a screen without the frame. then you may need a double side tape (2mm) like below.

You may have already replaced yours, but as other poster said, quality is a crap shot sometimes.
First one I bought from Amazon. Great packaging and looked great, but frame was 1mm to wide, so volume buttons were permanently depressed (so each reboot went to recovery). Returned that one.
Bought another from eBay here, frame is PERFECT size. Screen has a slightly blue hue, but not noticeable really. No tools come with this one, so you need a pry tool and screw drivers.
Word of caution, the internal antenna can break very easily if you are not VERY careful when disassembling. Additional antennas are here. I recommend getting a couple.
Hi! I need a replacement screen as well, because a stripe in the middle of mine stopped working.
After tons of research on Aliexpress i don't know which one to decide between these 2:
1) https://it.aliexpress.com/item/Orig...ml?spm=a2g0o.cart.99999999.259.30453c00U4QgqW
This one costs almost twice the others, but i contacted the seller and he said it's an original one (don't know how much i can trust him).
2) https://it.aliexpress.com/item/Tras...ml?spm=a2g0o.cart.99999999.259.30453c008Kl1tr
This one has same price as most of the other screens and has lots of good reviews, but i know it must be a clone.

I have attached screen samples. OPO original, low quality and good quality replacement from Aliexpress. I don't think that you will get the origianl OEM screen replacement from Aliexpress.
It seems that Replacebase (UK supplier) sells the OEM (original) screen replacement for OPO. I haven't tested this screen, but their OPO red battery is really great. (See XDA forum discussion)
