This is a user friendly thread. Please be respectful and courteous to other users. While feature requests will be considered, AquariOS tries to maintain a ROM that is smooth and stable, so adding every feature under the sun is not the plan here.
READ!1. Unless I tell you otherwise, you MUST always, absolutely, positively, most certainly wipe data AND system before flashing AquariOS...without a doubt!
2. Don't report bugs if you haven't followed directions - most likely it's user error at that point as far as I'm concerned.
3. Always run a backup before doing anything.
4. Provide a log when reporting a bug (see more info below).
5. Be respectful.

Volte video call doesn't work in any custom rom.

@kenny3fcb, I have to say that this is a very good ROM. You have included the options and settings that I use the most. Including Nova Launcher was a genius move. Not sure why more developers don't included it in the other ROMs. You did an excellent job putting this together, thank you!

This rom is awesome, indeed! I'm loving it.
BTW, I'm having some FCs with system interface. Am I the only one?

No FCs here. Everything is running very stable for me so far. I did a clean install and wiped everything, even my storage, and everything is smooth and stable so far. I have only been running this ROM for a couple of days, so I haven't fully tested everything. The features that I use on a regular basis, though, run great. It isn't the fastest ROM from an antutu perspective with a score of 139242, but everything runs smoothly, and I have played some lite weight games with no issues. Battery life seems to be pretty good, see attached screen shot. So far, I would highly recommend this ROM.

Yes, you're right. I've messed up some system application, my bad, but I've already solved it. Now I'm not having any FC, this rom is a rocket. Battery life seems to be awesome too, I will use it for a few days and then give feedback.

Dev please add option to reset battery stats manually

Please add quick pull down too. Also the option to disable the x icon on the cellular data while it is turned off.

Thanks for sharing! Great job??

How's everything going here? Appears to be going pretty well.
Remember when updating (if you are going to dirty flash), first make sure you at least disable any substratum overlays you might have and redo them afterwards to avoid possible FC issues - that is the case with any ROM.
Hope you're all enjoying it!

So far everything is great with this rom. I have been using it for 6 days now and have not had 1 problem yet. The only thing that I haven't seen yet is that this phone stays connected to H+ all the time. When I was using AEX and ViperOS, it would change to 4G when I was in the city, but I have not seen that yet with AquariOS. It stays connected to H+ all the time. Other than that, and that is more related to the phone and baseband, this rom works very well. Thank you for putting together such a great rom.

Finally posted!! Tried running the first version when it was released on androidfilehost, but kept running into play services error. Didn't matter the gapps package. This and noobbuilds kept giving me the same fc. I provided a pastebin in that thread. Not sure if this new build has the same issue, as I literally just flashed m, but hopefully it was resolved. Loved pure when I had it. Super smooth.

Glad to see this here too, is my daily driver on the nexus 6, used the initial build of this on the 9 for a bit, giving M preview 3 a look at now, but this is hands down an amazing rom. Thanks to @beanstown awesome work as usual man. Will be flashing this update soon.

I've been using this on my N9 for a week now, it's awesome and I'm looking forward to getting home to flash the new update. Thanks for the great ROM.
Great to see this here on XDA. Flash away people, you will love it. Take a look at the Nexus 6 thread to give you an idea of what Beans is all about. Happily running this on my 6 and 9.

Mine also got goole play service fc with whatever gapps I tried. Full wipe too
Does this ROM support the LTE version? Am currently running a rooted stock ROM with TWRP. Do I need to completely wipe or a dirty flash will do?

I tried installing both art and inversion layer themes but the layer APKs for each app aren't being installed. No clue if it's the roms fault or mine.

Have you installed other layers on your N9 in the past? I've read that layers has issues with the 9 so I haven't tried any yet. Layers work great on the N6 version of this ROM.

If you check the Broken ROM thread, there is some discussion on how to resolve Layers issues.
Pretty sure it was the Broken thread anyway.
Something to do with manually changing file paths for installed files.

You and me both on that note! Still have it on my N5 actually but retired that for the Moto G4.
When I first got this device there was a small handful of ROM's available, now there is like every ROM available haha. Thanks for hooking it up man

No root
FYI Guys, you may flash SuperSu 2.79 SR3 for root access.
Have a nice day all
Restart when you open the Photos application and Es Explorer
BTW, I'm not home so I can't test this ROM but if Magisk doesn't work then flash ElementalX first and see if that works.
Magisk is a much better alternative to SuperSU anyway, as is phh's SU.
System UI has stopped. I just flashed the rom no gapps no kernel. And while setting up the device the screen just blacked out and system UI stopped working. Then I restored back to AEX

Did you wipe system/data/cache/dalvik? It sounds like you didn't do that.
fast charging doesn't work
Fantastic ROM just when I thought it would just be another AOSP based thing this truly feels Snappy and clean

How?
1) Go to system>vendor>app>ims
2) Replace the original ims.apk in the ims folder with the attached one using file explorers like ES File man or XPlore
3) Give permission to the ims.apk as rw-r-r
4) Restart and you're good to go.
Big Volte Icon can be disabled from purenexus settings>Status bar
Note : Before replacing the original ims.apk, please copy and keep it somewhere safe. Later on you can use it if you wanna get back in previous state

Booyah!
First, thanks for the ROM! Can't wait to dive in.
Is there any chance you could pull magisk from the ROM itself and let us choose to install that or SuperSU? If not I think I can run the uninstall for magisk and install su myself... Just figured I'd ask.
Ill give this a run this week as time affords.
Niice, definitely going to give this Rom a try.

So you want to enter the competitive world of professional ROM flashing? If so, you need to take your phone flashing to a new level. How can you position yourself and your expertise so you are the dev's obvious choice? Be honest. Do you enjoy troubleshooting? Do you have a problem with things going wrong? If so, then you might be better off staying on your current OS.
If you are still reading this and are sitting in your chair thinking: “I could do that, if I tried”, then maybe you have a chance.
If you can't read, watch this video: https://youtu.be/JmvCpR45LKA
-How can I prevent the loss of TWRP when updating?
->You need to flash root to prevent TWRP from being overwritten.
Note that this is only true for older builds as of July 2017. The problem with TWRP has been resolved as of the first official release of July 2017.
-I’m coming from other custom ROM or stock ROM. What do I need to do?
->If you’re encrypted, you need to format (different than wipe. You have to type “yes” in TWRP) your internal storage.
1. This will wipe everything from your internal storage including TWRP folder with backups, titanium backup, etc. If you have anything you want to keep, move it to external storage or back it up to the computer before proceeding.
2. If you’re not encrypted, just do a normal wipe (system, cache, dalvik, data) and flash the ROM, gapps, and either SuperSU or Magisk for root.
-I want to use this ROM, but I don’t want root. Is that possible?
->You’re in luck. This ROM does not come pre-rooted. So you can use this with no root if you desire. Although, I’m not sure why you would want to do that, but you can.
-My phone reboots randomly
->Use adb or any other file explorer tool to pull a copy of /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops (command: adb pull /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops) after the reboot and post that. Try to include what you were doing when experiencing the reboot. Also refer to the next question before filing any reports.
-I’m having weird crashes/reboots
->Do you have other third party software installed such as a different kernel, Magisk, sound mods, etc.? Remove all of these before submitting a bug report. Reports made with unsupported software like what is listed above will not be addressed.
-Will this ROM receive frequent Security Updates?
->Yes.
-Does this ROM pass SafetyNet?
->It should if you don’t flash root when installing the ROM, since it doesn’t come loaded with root out of the box. If you want root, Magisk will allow you to pass SafetyNet.
-Does OTA work?
->Yes.
-Do I need to do a clean install?
->If you’re coming from another ROM, yes. If you’re already running ours, a dirty flash should be fine unless otherwise specified. If you have problems, try a clean flash before reporting issues. Refer to an above question if you are coming from a stock-based ROM or are possibly encrypted.
-Will you add stuff to the ROM?
->*insert perhaps cow meme here*
-Does the camera work?
->See the OP for current stuff not working.

Thanks mate i appreciate that
Already using.
Camera is working 100%, everything seems to be ok. And it is so fast and smooth, I'll keep this as my daily driver.
At least for me it is faster than Nougat.
Thanks!
Woooow! Working camera? This is insane! Thanks a ton for that!

fixed in los15 today
I thought oos hal implemented. But camera performance is same, video recordings never exceeds 29 fps. Ois is kinda broken.
Otherwise rom seems bugless. Good enough for daily-driver.
:good:down now

I don't know about VOLTE(probably not), but battery life is awesome.
Audio Working?
I'm the only one, this or LineageOS15, who gets an horrible performance? like, even the games go like really really slower, i have 7.10.12 blobs and 32GB Mi5, this does not happen on 6.0-7.1.2
